Stronger and a giveaway!

I'm speechless..really.

Last week I humbly poured my heart out and received much more love than I ever deserved.

Thank you.

Our little familyhas a long road ahead of us but your outpouring of love has empowered me.

It has given me hope and a boost to get back up and do what I love.

For that, I am forever grateful.

So what did this girl do?

She painted!

I pray that the love showered on me, somehow... fills someones love tank too.

I pray that if there is someone out there not feeling very brave, they read this.

You..

Yes, You...

 are stronger than you think.

I discovered that's why I love to paint.

It gives me a chance to share my heart, encourage and empower those who need it.

Often, we already know but just need that sweet reminder.

Does someone come to mind?

Maybe it's a friend that's feeling down?

Maybe it's a loved one going through a sickness?

Maybe it's You?

I would love to give one away to someone who needs that gentle reminder too.

Whether it's for you or a loved one, just leave a simple comment and I will add your name to the hat.

Your comment can be as simple as loved.

If you don't have a blog, please make sure you leave an email or means for me to reach you.

I will be adding this new design along with many others to my shop.

This girl has been busy!

If you are interested in purchasing one, you can click here.

  6. Simply beautiful, Susie! I would love to win this to give to my dearest friend who visited me this weekend. She finds herself struggling with where she is in her life at the moment, and this would serve as such an awesome reminder of just how powerful and in control she really is.

  8. I would love to give one to my sister. After 28 years of marriage she is now going through a very bitter divorce. In just days after filing for divorce her mini van was totaled in an accident where someone ran a stop light. She and her teenage son were pretty bruised up but okay. Thank the good Lord for that. However, a few weeks later she (and her son) lost their home to a fire. They are now living with my elderly mother until they can find an adequate place to rent. I know you must think I am making all of this up but I am not. It seems as if her life is completely falling apart. Although I know the Lord is taking care of her and he will continue to take care of her the past six months has probably been the roughest time of her life. She could really use something like this to lift her spirits. On a different note, I am glad you are doing somewhat better. Keep hanging in there because as with all things, this too shall pass, whatever it is.

  10. These words are just what I needed today. I am going into my fourth surgery tomorrow for my left knee replacement and my fifth major surgery in 18 months. This helped me realize that with God, I am stronger. Thank you!

  15. Love this.
I would give this to a dear sweet friend of mine who is battling breast cancer. She just finished chemo and is now getting ready to do radiation treatments followed up by oral medicine. She is such a trooper and is stronger than she thinks.
If I'm not the winner I would love to purchase two from you(if you are selling them) one for her and one to hang in my house. I need the reminder from time to time.
I'm glad you are doing better.

  16. I have struggled so hard since my husband's fall from our roof in November. Some days, I just want to throw my hands up in the air and scream, "what else?"...but then I don't do it, because I know there could always be more.

  21. i love your "you are stronger than you think"! my mantra...."you can do hard things". we don't always get to "live life" sometimes life lives us and we have to adjust our dreams. over the years as i've had to make adjustments (and sometimes even bury my dreams) i have always learned and grown and come out on the other end with a heart more open to the tender mercies found only through our savior's sacrifice. and as you know susie....that sacrifice was for you and me and all mankind. and there is not one hurt, or disappointment, or pain, or sorrow that he didn't already experience. that knowledge has sure helped me "do hard things". you will be well again sweet sister. love, a friend.

  22. Love your new sign. We have definitely found that we are stronger than we thought as my dear, sweet husband has battled two kinds of cancer in the last six months. Just when we think we can't go on, our precious Lord blesses us beyond measure! God is so good!

Praying for you and your family!

  43. This painting is gorgeous. After starting teaching this year, and it being much harder and different than I had imagined ((maybe I painted it up to be something prettier and better in my mind...)), this sign completely applies. More than even just to me, to my sweet friend who is a first year teacher with me, WHILE her husband is deployed to Japan for 2 years. Talk about strong...

  44. My little brother, and little sister, along with myself were all three diagnosed as having Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy 20 years ago. We really do have to tell ourselves every day that we are stronger than we think. How do you survive an ugly disease if you don't tell yourself that. This is a wonderful reminder

  66. Hi Susie! I found this part of a poem recently and I think it {might} apply to your beautiful art work as well. I read your blog often and quite enjoy it. I never, ever comment because that is too risky! :)

    "If my hand slacken
    I should rob God
since he is the fullest good.
Leaving a blank instead of violins.
God could not make Antonio Stradivarius violins
    without Antonio."

    Poem by Mary Ann Evans

  70. Our son returned back home from college after not being able to navigate freedom and responsibility. He feels like a failure. We feel like failure parents. This is such a tough road - trying to keep him moving forward. Seems like it's one step forward and one step back...and I find myself grasping for nuggets of hope. He desperately needs to know that he is stronger than he thinks right now, that God has a purpose and plan for his life. I would love to hang this in our home as a reminder to all of us. jcbradshaw6@gmail.com
