I loved this idea so much I wanted to share it with our new friends! Please excuse the small pictures.. Boy! It's amazing what you can learn in one year..hehe
Candy Corn love shown here..yum! String them up like popcorn at Christmas..
Just a tip that I learned...the cheap ones do not work as well. I think they have too much wax or something and they would break in half. I used Brachs and they worked well.
You just string as much as needed and snack on the rest.
I used a spray to help seal them {from bugs and all}. Please make sure you keep the sprayed candy from your little ones.
I just draped them from our light and used fun ribbon to hold them in place.
This idea would be cute used as a garland on your mantel as well.
I must admit I ate more candy during this project than what I would like to share...trust me!
This year I may try stringing those lil pumpkins just to change it up a bit.

Susie, this is a really cute idea. I've strung popcorn before and my fingers got really sore from pushing that darn needle in and out! I will be trying this idea as soon as I get to the store. I know what you mean about eating the goods... if you read my fall decorating post, you'll know I did the very same thing! *grin*

Too cute! Since candy corn is one of my vices, only the Krylon Clear Glaze would keep me from getting up and eating the garland in the night. Or at least slow me down.

This is really cute! I would have eaten more of the candy corn and wouldn't have had enough to string! Love that stuff!! The sealer is a wonderful idea!!

I made one of these last year! (after I saw yours) I think I probably had cheap candy corns because boy did they break! I found if I put the needle throught the fat end it worked pretty well though. I'm impressed that you made such a long garland....it's more work than it looks like.
Cute idea. I have to say that this would be a project where all of the candy would make it on the string. I think that I am the only person on the planet that doesn't like candy corn:)

I don't like candy corn, so it would be a fun way to use it rather than eat it. I know, I know, your are thinking who doesn't like candy corn, right?
It would be neat to string some up and wrap around a candle or make rings to go around the candle part on chandeliers.

Hey Susie...Been such a slacker with so much going on at my house....but hopefully I am back in the swing of visiting like I did before...
Shh...don't tell anyone but I bought this type of candy for my shower this past weekend and the brand along with the pumpkins and started working on a garland like this for my swap partner that will be going out in the mail tomorrow...I hope she likes it cause I thought those were cute from last year....love yours!
I also did the paperback pumpkins from last year...little late with all my stuff from last year but we do have newcomers and maybe they haven't seen these cute things....
Another thing...my hubby bought plywood and we are going to do the witch and cats so i will be sure to share...I have seen that on Martha's book last year and loved it but when I saw you did it I emailed my hubby pics to see if he would help and he said it would be easy to do so we are...yippy!
Sorry such a long book....but I am excited with all the neat things for the holidays!

i agree with the lady up there that said this is hard to do and way to go for doing one so long! i tried it last year and couldn't for the life of me get em to stay whole and i bought the good kind.

This is completely adorable and something everyone can do. Alas I will never even attempt to make this because candy corn are one of my favorites. I literally will eat it until I am truly sick. Hmmm. I wonder if anyone makes "faux" candy corn?
OH-MY-WORD...I love candy corn. I would not be able to have this in my house. It would make me want to eat candy corn every day in October and it would force me to go buy edible candy corn. Not good.

Candy corns are my favorite!!! We just polished off our first bag for the season. LOL It would be really cute to add those pumpkins in here and there. I'm just gonna have to do this. What a fun thing to do with your kids, too.

I am a candy corn fanatic. Really, it's a problem. I need to exercise more and brush my teeth more often in the fall. . . all because of c.c. So I think this garland is adorable!

What a great idea! I love to use candy in my decor, expecially in the kitchen. At Christms I have strands of gumdrops that I put up. I am going to have to do this once I have a bit more time and am not trying to sell a house and move. So cute!
