Playing House...

This shutter found at an estate sale last week became another prop. Do you like to play house? I do!

What I love the most is keeping it new with old stuff. This was my desk but now I have a new "old" one so I moved it in here.

Just lean that baby up against the wall and there!

See the different heights? Playing house...

No degree needed here...just a love for what I do...playing house!

I guess you thought I forgot about those sweet chairs...

Still here just waiting for me to finish them. Wish you could come over and play!

  3. Susie, Love the varying heights and the pop of turquoise blue on that shutter! So funny, we both have that cute little wire cloche with the nest on top. I just bought mine at Tai Pan Trading when I was visiting Utah. Love how it looks with everything!

  10. Hey Susie! Everything looks so pretty. I've got to find some shutters!

The other day I was hosting a wedding shower. Told the bride that I just couldn't wait to "play house" when we got married. My friends all said, "you are still playing house." Yes! I am proud of that too. :)

  11. Cute, cute!! I love to play house too! When we were growing up, we had a playhouse in the backyard--bright red!! It's still at my parent's house! I loved moving the furniture around for different looks! Still do! Let me know when you're coming up to SC, and we'll play house here!! I need some help with my mantle!

    Hugs!

  16. I love to rearrange accessories - but I think I'm bad at them. Love your home - I'm going to get brave and put a pop of color somewhere, someday.

  18. CaaaaaaUte... Gotta love a GREAT shutter! As for playing house, it's all I ever wanted when I was a little girl and asked, "what do you want to be when you grow up"... My answer: "A mom"... Even as a child I loved organzing my play kitchen, dress up clothes, etc... ahhhhhh The life, I so thank my hubby that I am able to LIVE my dream!

  21. I believe I recognize that fabric on those chairs! : )

And I love that little shutter! I was thrifting the other day and found some huge ones, but had no place to put them, plus Hubby would stroke if I brought them home. So I bought two pair of silver candlesticks. Easier to sneak in the house. : )

  22. I love house crashin'! I like the pop of blue that your shutter adds. And I'm really liking the little shelf under the photo. I love me some shelves but don't always want to just stick up on the wall randomly. Love what you did. And, lol, I had been totally wondering what you did with your chairs. I was beginnign to think I missed the post.

  33. Love the way that shutter brings in just a bit of that fun, bright blue. Well done.

I like to play house, too. And I liked to play house when I was a little girl. I can't remember if I ever played that I was doing laundry. . . maybe that's one part I would leave out.

Thanks for having us to your house!
