Fall is almost here and that means pumpkin candles. My favorite is from Hobby Lobby.

I have tried all the other's and paid lot's but my all time favorite is Cinnamon Spice by Darsee & David's.

So if you happen to come to my house this time of year this is what you smell. I burn them everyday all day. They last forever my friends! You have got to try them...

If you have watched the weather you have met our new friend headed for the gulf. It looks as though he may want to visit my town...

No worries here... I have plenty of candles on hand thanks to Hobby Lobby, smile. I do need to head to the store and stock up on things that we need... like food and water. I did fill my gas tank this morning, ouch! So it looks as though the next few days we will just watch and wait. My sweet husband is all fired up because his beloved "HOGS" play this weekend. For his sake hope we dont loose power.
Lucky me- I get to comment first! I have been "lurking" for awhile but I will come out and say "Hi!" today! Love your tassels and plan on checking out the candles at Hobby Lobby tomorrow!:-) Take care and be well.:-) Lori
ReplyDeleteI love that candle! You got me hooked on those. I would hate for Marc to not see his HOGS play...that would be rotten for everyone around! At least your house would be smellin nice!
ReplyDeletemisty
I hope you don't loose power from the storm. We can't have our men missing any sports now can we?!? lol
ReplyDeleteI'll have to try that brand because I too LOVE the pumpkin spice and cinnamon spice smells. Have you tried the new candle (I know Hallmark has them) that has a wooden wick and when it burns it sounds like a crackling fireplace? One of my friend's says they are REALLY neat and smell fabulous...I might try them.
Oh, by the way....Lexi loved all the comments about her room and she especially LOVED the one from you cause you told her it was for her....she read it, smiled away and did what you said....THANKS!!
ReplyDeleteI love the candles! I hope you don't lose power and get to watch the game!!
ReplyDeleteHope you're spared from the storm.
ReplyDeleteI'm a candle fan, too.
I got hooked on a local specialty when we lived in Pinehurst, NC...Gap Creek Candles - Cinnamon is my fav but they have lots of good ones.
I guess I'll just have to order online now.
I'll give your fav a try on my next Hobby Lobby trip.
I love candles..I'll try these...good luck to the Hogs...I'll be pulling for the Tigers...can't wait...Fall is for Football too~!
ReplyDeleteOooooooh! I would love that scent. But no Hobby Lobby for me. :-(
ReplyDeleteI wonder if D&D sells other places?
yum!! There is a hobby lobby close to my school, so the next time I have time to waste I am going to grab one of these. Your blog just enhanced my excitement for Fall!!
ReplyDeleteI love candles. I saw these the other day but didn't get any because some candles don't burn well. I hate when you get the black soot or only the middle burns leaving a lot of wax behind. I usually burn Yankee, Party lite, or soy. I'll have to try this one.
ReplyDeleteI pray you aren't hit with the newest storm. It looks like it may be a strong one.
My fav is Yankee Candle's Spiced Pumpkin. Yankee Candle has a HUGE sale each Jan....it may be a national thing...I'm not sure.
ReplyDeleteYea for Fall! I'm ready. :)
I don't know who the Hogs are, but Go Hogs! lol ;) I hope you don't lose power!
ReplyDeleteI also don't know about those yummy candles because HL has decided that they do not need to have a store close to my home, drats!
Bella :)
I'm a little nervous about this next storm. Fay knocked our power out for 17 hours. Boo. (We're in Alabama, about 2 hours from the coast- straight north of Pensacola) My Mom and brother live in Pensacola, so I'll be expecting a visit from them if Gustav looks like it's heading their way. I think we had 15 people with us during Ivan!
ReplyDeleteAnywho...love the candles! Going to HAVE to make a trip to "The Lobby" and get some. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the feedback! I would love to hear what your favorite candle is . For all of you poor dears that dont have a Hobby Lobby. I may have to just do a giveaway with one! You know how much we all love a giveaway. Hmmm now you have my mind rollong in a bunch of fun directions! Thanks girls, smiles and ((hugs ))!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the fall, too! I've really enjoyed your posts about getting ready for the season. The candy corn garland is such a cute idea!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the recommendation on a good fall candle. I search high and low for a good, long-lasting scent. That's exciting that Hobby Lobby has some that are actually affordable! I can't wait to get some. In fact, we're in hurricane preparation around here, too. Yuck!
We need Fall to hurry up and get here!
Have a great day!
I love Hobby Lobby candles!!! Especially their fall collection.
ReplyDeleteGO HOGS!!
Oh yeah I love candles also. Have never been to a Hobby Lobby but lately have heard a lot about them so I am going to have to check it out soon. I also love the smell of fall and Christmas...Two of my favorite seasons. Maybe because everyone seems to be so cheerful around this time of year. I don't know but I love it. Well with a new house I need lots more candles so I better start buying them up.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah so give me some ideas on my letters? You said there were lots of ways to do use them. I sure would love to hear some of them. I love all your neat ideas Susie! Thanks for stopping by.
:) Beth
Oops I hope if the storm hits your way everyone is safe and secure. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI have not tried this one yet. My favorite is Buttercream for Yankee Candle.
ReplyDeleteI will have to try this candle. I am a big Yankee Candle fan but I use to buy them at the Commissary at about half the price. Sadly, we no longer live close to the commissary and I don't go very often. So I will have to check this one out. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteAs for the Hogs, our Dawgs are also playing this weekend. I hope they all do well.
By the way, how is Jesse doing?
Stay safe and I hope Gustav doesn't cause too much damage. I heard there is already another storm on this one's tail! Oy vey.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite candle is Rum Raisin by Wood Wick. I SWEAR you have never smelled anything like it. AND it sounds like a crackling fire when it's lit. I love fall scents... I burn them year 'round!
Morning, Susie! OOOO, I can smell the candle. It's so pretty, too! Oh, I'm praying the old storm won't come your way or ours, for that matter. Stay calm and keep the candles burning!
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia :)
Your hubs is a Razorback fan? Oh yeah, I think we talked about that before. Well, I don't want to make him envious (wink wink) but my hubby and I will be watching from a comfy suite in Razorback Stadium. Go Hogs!
ReplyDeleteI am heading right to Hobby Lobby! Yum.
ReplyDeleteWoo Pig Sooie!!
Well - as long as you have plenty of candles...who needs anything else?...like food & water? :)
ReplyDeleteI love those candles from Hobby Lobby too but I don't start the fall fragrance until after Labor Day. I hope you guys don't loose power so hubby gets to see his beloved game ;o) Stay safe!
ReplyDelete~Des
Susie,
ReplyDeleteI've never gotten those candles at Hobby Lobby but I will now. Thanks for the tip.
Stay safe!

First off--I think you type the wrong team in your post---surely you meant your husband's beloved "TIGERS".....no really!!......I'm sure that's what you meant. HEHE LOL
ReplyDeleteSecond--I'm heading out today to stock up on some stuff and fill my gas tank up for this most unwelcome guest. UGH!! So not ready to go through this again---Katrina and Rita was enough!!
Third--I will pick up one of those candles next time I am at Hobby Lobby--Febreeze came out with a fall spice scent--it is wonderful.
Mmm, I love candles!
ReplyDelete~ Sarah
MMMM Yum! I love pumpkin candles. I will have to go to HL and get me one! Never tried that brand before. Thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteMmmm! I can smell the cinnamon spice from here.
ReplyDeleteI hope the weather treats you well.
OOOH.. I love those candles too! I have one Hobby Lobby candle left from when we lived near one.. I'm saving it for Fall! I'll bet if the power goes out, your home smells fantastic!!!
ReplyDeleteMy friend Susie,
ReplyDeleteWill you email me at joytoholder@yahoo.com?
I have a question that I need to ask a fellow blogger.
Thanks!
Love ya!
I love candles! My two year old don't because he likes to blow them out, so I have to always put them way out of his reach. Sat. is the first game hope we have power to watch it. That will be a suck! Good Luck to you and keep safe! Much Love From Queen Bee!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love fall scented candles! Bed, Bath & Body Works has two new fall candles that are absolutely divine! But I'm not quite ready for those fall scents yet, it still feels so summery here. Hope the storms leave you alone!
ReplyDeleteHi Susie, I don't know what Razorbacks are, either! lol Is this college football? I'm clueless about that topic, haha.
ReplyDeleteHere is the link to Horchow...get a nice cup of tea ready before you visit:
http://www.horchow.com/
Bella :)
Love that scent! It's so holiday-ish.
ReplyDeleteOh I hope you don't lose power! I want to check out those candles I have been looking every for some and just could not find a good one!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite candles are Gold Canyon Candles. You can check out their website and they do have independent consultants. They are the BEST candles! Some of my favorite scents they have for this time of year are Caramel Apple and Creme Brule. Yummy!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite candles are Yankee Candles, and my favorite scents are generally anything warm and homey. Right now I have Farmhouse Apple in my living room and I really love it. Since reading this post I wanted to light it. I pulled my lighter out only to discover it's out of gas! I'm going to turn my house upside down looking for matches!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried these yet, even though I practically live at Hobby Lobby. :) I'll have to try them now!
ReplyDeleteLOOOOOOOOOVE yummy smelling candles! I also love everything about Fall. By far my fave season!
ReplyDelete~melody~
btw, do you do fall wreaths?
Ok, I need to make a trip to Hobby Lobby for that candle. So I went and bought me some candy corn today to copy your cute garland. I also bought some crows, now I just need to keep my eyes open for the perfect dead branch. Thanks for all your wonderful idea. I am soooooo ready for fall.
ReplyDeleteHi Susie Sweetness! You make me feel great, bragging on me like that! I took my Mother home yesterday, she's weak and just needs to rest, but I think she's gonna be okay.
ReplyDeleteI've been decorating with the little Dollare Tree pumkins you told us about. They really are just the cutest things!
I'm ready to see more fall ideas from you!!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Pretty pictures of your candles burning! Praying the hurricane stays away from you!
ReplyDeleteKim
Oh, I was at HL yesterday, and didn't even think about candles...shucks! Maybe next time! :)
ReplyDeleteI have a Sunshine Award for you on Tuesday's post! :) ~Rhonda
PS...Our DT still does not have those cute little pumpkins you posted! They are going to think I am shoplifting or just plain crazy. I walk in about every day, look around in high hopes, and then leave without buying anything! LOL!
I have been wanting a new candle! Now I know... yeah! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love your tassels but am a bit uh what is the word... looser? Don't know where or how to hang them... help!
Go buy some water!!!
If you check out my post, you will see I can't even check on the storm to see how you all are doing. My new little circumstances are going to provide me with some time to get ready for fall. Looking for a fall fragrance, so I will definitely have to check those candles out. You have got me so looking forward to fall. Jackie
ReplyDeleteI am lovin' the autumn posts. I'm willing Fall to come! I love scented candles in the Fall & Winter. There's something so cozy about it.
ReplyDeleteI'm a lurker who just has to comment on "the HOGS!" I'm an Arkansas native who still lives here. Not many where we are anymore, (NW AR). Everyone seems to be from somewhere else. But, yea, definitely, WOO PIG SOOIE!! Hope the storm moves around you and hubs gets to call the HOGS!
ReplyDeleteI was already at Winn-Dixie... now I need to go to Hobby Lobby and I can justify it because we really do need candles at this time....
ReplyDeleteI hope your little friend doesn't knock your power out or cause any damage. I was so lovin' Fay, because we really need the rain and I happen to love gray, rainy days.
ReplyDeleteElise
I love pumpkin scented candles...but darn it, no Hobby Lobby here in Calif.
ReplyDeleteSince you havn't been my way..I wanted to let ya know that I posted your tassel that I got from you.. it is right at home. Thanks, cherry
ReplyDeleteYou and our (already) cold temps have got me in such a Fall mood. I posted a funny personal SCARY story on my blog. I've even started my hunt for swirl lollies for my craft post next month. I never start this early, but I'll be getting first pick of all the Halloween fun stuff! Hey, I found candy corn shaped suckers online today. I was sooo excited. I may get them for our treaters this year. Yup,I'd say I've got the Fall bug bad!
ReplyDeleteHave a *SWEET EVE*!
Sara
Grrr. Our hobby lobby doesn't have that kind. And the one that I got stinks.
ReplyDelete:(
Hi there! I just found your blog yesterday and had to tell you I ran out to my Hobby Lobby last night and got one of those candles.I LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteThey were having a 50% off sale so I even got an extra. Thanks!
~Amy
