I found this conservatory at the Red Door in Baton Rouge. I left the store smiling...

Not only did I get it for a song...a 12.00 dollar song..It has so may possibilty's..

I was going to put this ivy in but it was a bit to tall.. maybe a new pot...

I then tried filling it with clay pots and moss covered balls

On top of cabinet? Maybe a bit too much..

Then I filled it full of magazines..

Towels maybe? I really liked this one..

(shameless plug for tassels).. It even looks great with my tassels hanging from them!

another shameless plug, sorry....Oh the possibilty's of this little wire conservatory.
Ooooo! I love it! I especially love it with the magazines or towels in it. Great uses!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I thought you were going to say you put the dog in it after the first pic. :-)
What a deal! I love it!
ReplyDeleteIs that rooster tassel there to personally tempt me? I love him.
I love it too! You are so creative I would have just put it in one place and left it there.
ReplyDeleteBlanca
Great find! I loved it with the pots and litle bird in it. So cute.
ReplyDeleteI really like the magazines in it, too. You can just change it around when you need something different. What a steal at $12!
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing Kimba did...what a fancy schmancy kennel! :)
ReplyDeleteActually, I think my fave was the towel idea. Very pretty.

I love the conservatory and I would have a hard time picking just one of these ideas. And there's nothing wrong with shameless plugs among friends. LOL
ReplyDeleteOh, I love it! I've been eyeing those tassels... It's not shameless to show your beautiful creations. I'm gonna go look some more!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Ooooo, I love a great find that's so versatile! Every idea was a good one---makes you almost wish you had a few more, maybe in a variety of colors.
ReplyDelete(Whoops, my obsessive/addictive tendencies are showing)
Great find and I really loved the towels in it!
ReplyDeleteOMG! I love all those ideas. You should buy a couple more so you could use a few of those ideas. You could also paint them different colors. Oh,that is why I love your blog!!!!
ReplyDeleteBrandee :)
Ohh that is nice! Maybe you should have gotten two! I love stuff like that I think my children would have taken it over!
ReplyDeleteI really like it! There is something light and airy about it even when you have stuff in it.
ReplyDeleteI love it with the towels (and the tassel!)

ReplyDeletePS Any possibilities of talking you out of the letter verification thing?? I'm just sayin'...
Rhoda
My personal favorite use is the magazine holder. That will definitely be a conversation piece no matter where you put it! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I see I missed some drama...so glad you are still posting & not giving up on your blog. That would be tragic! I'm so sorry you got your feelings hurt, unfortunately that is sometimes part of being out there.
ReplyDeletexo,
Rhoda

Hi sweetie! I'm so glad you like corn. I had to buy some more today. Oh course I'm loving the rooster tassel on the conservatory! Have a great evening and be a sweetie,
ReplyDeleteShelia :)
Thanks for visiting today! And yes, I thought the very same thing about my pics. So far so good. ;)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, great bargain on your conservatory!
I'm not sure which way I like it best...it looks great in all your pictures! I would probably put plants in it for now...something else later. Can't you picture it at Christmas?
ReplyDeleteLove it~!
ReplyDeleteI'd like it with clay pots and moss, I'd like it with towels, I'd like it with your tassels, I'd like it with a fox in a box!!!~I digress... Anyway, great find and a great deal to boot. P.S. Your dog is very cute!
so adorable! love your new blog design and your etsy store! i just ordered 2 of your beautiful tassels! so glad you decided to put them on etsy.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Susie! I'm did a post last week about this pet peeve of mine (and a lot of others) and hope that other bloggers will follow suit & stop the letter verification. It's just not necessary. You can always do comment moderation, WITHOUT the letter thing.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
Rhoda
Why do I never find these things? lol I simply must expand my shopping past the ONE store I seem to frequent. But I'm happy that if it couldn't be me toting it home that someone who obviously knows what to do with it got it! I can't wait to see how you decorate it with harvest and holiday decorations, I know you'll come up with something fabulous!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Love your little doggie, what a cutie pie!
Oooo that is soooo cute and to get it for $12.00!!! I loved the towels or magazines in it. Isn't it funny how our pets just have to be in our pictures. Your tassel looks great on it too.
ReplyDeleteOh, how cute. That is a steal!! We will probably be going to Baton Rouge sometime this summer to take the kids to that Blue Bayou. I will have to check out this Red Door. We really don't have anything like that around here. Although, I do like The Mill in Canton.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Trixi
Susie...I have a little surprise for you...come on over to my house. Hands off Marie, that rooster tassel is mine!
ReplyDelete~Jill
Well, that's fun! And what a good deal, too. I love how versatile it is. Now I want one! -Julia :-)
ReplyDeleteTowels!! I love it, and I love me a good bargain! (I found you through Hooked on Houses.)
ReplyDeletehow dah-ling!!
ReplyDeleteI like it-so cute!! I have a couple of bird cages that are stumping me as to what to put in them. Surely they don't all need nests and eggs in them??
ReplyDeleteElise
What a cute item and such a great price. I liked it with the towels. Or the dog. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI like all the possibilities...a great purchase!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love love love love love love love it. I love the chicken coop wiring--much more interesting than plain screening. Makes me want to pay you $25 for it!

So many ideas! I would choose the towels. How about a vignette of printed towels with tassels. Damask or Jacquard for a Parisian design. If you couldn't find one to match just take a coordinating fabric and, create a boarder to an existing towel. Your banner fabric would be ideal for a vintage retro look. The finishing touch... wrap each rolled towel with a matching tassel to fit your theme. Starting with that fabulous Rooster! I'll take mine with a Red checkered towel please...lol
ReplyDeleteDITTO to Kimba's comment! I was going to vote for the towels with the tassel!! And you'd better plug that talent of yours! It's a gift and I'm looking forward to ordering some!
ReplyDeleteSusie that is a great deal and I love it with towels in it. Big Hugs, Pat
ReplyDeleteCute, cute, I like the chicken tassel with it! HA!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to Red Door in FOREVER and I mean that. I like it though.
Good deal you got yourself there.
See ya!
Joyce
I want a conservatory! *pout*
ReplyDeleteI love all the different things you tried, but I think I'm diggin' the towels the best!
(thank you for your very sweet comments!!)
Nikki
You are too creative. I'm envious of your ability to see the possibilites. I loved the towels best I think.
