Boxwood Wreaths

Bit by Bit

our bedroom is coming together.

I found these

and knew just the place for them.

I love the fact that they are real

"Preserved"

for better words.

They came with this pretty sheer ribbon

ready to hang.

But where?

I had too many places I wanted them to go.

For sure

these 3

are staying.

I think.

I wont tell you how many

nail holes

I put in my wall.

I'm sure you can guess.

Oh but wait!

I'm thinking

that maybe the petite one

would look sweet here.

No?

Yes?

Maybe?

Oh geeze...

I should have bought more

Ha!

ps..note the wall color

I re-painted my Bathroom Wednesday.

I know..I know..

Yes, I'm "chawed" as Kelly would say.

Any hoodles....

Let's get back to the wreaths shall we?

Then there was this blue frame.

I thought I might add it for color and contrast.

Marc said it looked  "fine"

but he didn't look really.

I think he was tired of me

asking for the 170th time.

So maybe yes to the blue frame?

maybe?

Ok...

I will quit asking

and let ya'll

be on your way.

It's the weekend for petes sake.

Have fun!

Love! The addition of the blue frame - genius. I have some boxwood wreaths packed in the attic for Christmas - thanks for the inspiration to get those babies out.

What a fabulous idea!! I have some large, rectangular wooden frames that I didn't have a use for...not exactly pretty enough to hang on their own, but layered w/ a smaller one and a wreath would make for some great wall art! Thanks for the inspiration!

Have a great weekend!! xo

What a cute idea! I love open frames and want to incorporate a collage of them somewhere in my home. The wreathes are adorable. Love the new color of your bathroom, too. As for the blue frame--I love the frame--just not sure if I love it as much as I'd like with the grouping of white frames. I think I'd like it more if you replaced the white frame in the upper left (similar in size to the blue frame) with the blue one (so still a grouping of three) and kept the wreath. Maybe that's whats throwing me off other grouping--it's the only blue frame and the only one without a wreath. But what do I know?! I come to your blog for inspiration because everything you do looks so fresh and charming and I want to copy it all!

Do you like opinions??? Thats all they are, just an idea from my decorating soul to yours. Absolutely YES to the wreath on the set of towels!!! Lovely, sharp, neat, pretty. New bathroom paint is calming...you so make me want to do a redo in my place. I am struggling with my living room. Painted a wall two months ago, but still not sure its "me". Oh, and I don't care for the blue frame with the other collection. Thanks for sharing!

Nail holes?

I took down the botanicals in the dining room...something to do with a professional trim guy flaw paw...faux pas...no not a social oops, but a definite oops.

Yesterday, Mr J filled all those holes in, with hope in his heart...short lived hope....by afternoon...more nail holes...;-)

I love those wreaths!! I definitely need a couple.

PS: The botanicals are finding a happy new home in one of the guest rooms.

Susie those wreaths are just the CUTEST little things I have ever seen! Precious girl!

Have a blessed weekend. ~Melissa :)

PS Thank you for checking out my new blog design. You are so sweet.

Susie, I too make 59 nail holes to hang 1 picture. I love the bathroom color, what is it called and who made it. The frames are great, but I agree with The Brick Cottage the blue one looks off somehow. Maybe add another frame in blue so you can balance the existing blue one. That means more holes in the wall, the frame will cover most of themm

Kimberly said...

Yes to the blue frame and you needed the odd number anyway. So cute! Maybe not on the towels though - you will have to touch it a lot to move it to use the towels. What do you think?

GLENDA CHILDERS said...

Love love the framed wreaths. Whimsical and feminine.

For me, don't like the blue frame added in ~ but love the blue paint in your bathroom.

The wreath on the towel is so cute, but wonder if it would get annyoing after a bit.

Ha ~ love the extra nail holes.

That is so beautiful!! I have alot of little frames all over the house that I dont know what to do with. This is a great way to display them!!!

Seriously...how the heck do you do it all?! Oh, and more importantly, when can you come over to my place? :)

Lovin the new wall color in your bath - it is similar to a color we have in my hubbys "man cave" (aka his office).

Im not too sure about the lone blue frame....what about if you add another small blue one to the top left frame to balance it out??

But, Ssheessh...what do I know? You are the amazing one :)

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Lauren

ps - do the preserved boxwood still have an earthy green smell?

Your frames are beautiful with the little wreaths. I always hope my husband refrains from looking behind any picture I hang. It's a mess!

To me it's distracting, the blue. But what do I know. I put every color in the world together. The contrast of white and green is perfection!

I am in love with those wreaths!!!

The simple framing is so inspiring. I would throw in the blue frame for contrast as well, but I would probably put it in the middle and leave it open.

Susie,

I love the frames and the boxwood wreaths. What a great idea - something so simple and yet it adds such a great impact to the room.
I saw that others have already asked this, but what color did you paint your bathroom. I love blue and need to repaint my bedroom, so I'm checking out the different shades of blue.
You're not the only one with a nail hole problem.
