PS: I have seen the little bottles, but coke doesn't taste like it did 50 years ago! I am reminded of the case of Dr Pepper we ordered from Texas. We made that case of DP, made with good old fashioned pure cane sugar, last a long time! Thinking about the cold coke, brought that memory up, as I sit here drinking a cold glass bottle of old fashioned Sarsaparilla (root beer).;-)

Enjoyed reading your post. It's amazing what roll nature can play in our lives. I'm sorry the hurricane meant an ending to your Dad's store. Sounds like you have some great memories of your time spent there. Glad you were able to take some treasures along with the memories.

Beautiful post. I did a similar walk down memory lane through my dad's barn and shop. And I found some similar finds! I had to laugh, knowing that there were so many days when all I would have seen is junk. Growing older/wiser rocks. :)

My grandpa had an automotive parts supply store. I loved going there and playing...he never let my dad play there. He died suddenly right before I turned 12. I kept some things from the store that my grandmother had kept in her storage shed. I have good memories from there.
