Book Ledge DIY

I can hardly call this a DIY but here it goes.

Gather up these few things and you have yourself a fun ..fast.. project!

1x6
1x4
1x2

glue and finishing nails

It's as easy as putting these three pieces together.

I was able to make all three in just minutes for the price of one store bought ledge.

I had my husband hang them directly into studs for safety.

How cute!!

Kaylee ordered this adorable bag from Pottery Barn.

Just an FYI...

Make sure you check the sizes.

This one is the medium I believe and it's HUGE!!!!

She has it stuffed with packs of diapers now but I'm sure it will be replaced with toys soon.

She was a bit concerned of having the shelves so low but as he grows she may remove the lower one.

He may or may not be a climber.

If I were to guess...
 he will be a climber...haha

She still has to cover his outlets but I'm guessing she has a few months to go... lol

I'm so proud of her and how she has decorated his little space.

I'm so happy she has let me play in there too!

And yes...

she is still waiting...

Update on the wait...

Just thought I would pop in and give a quick update on my girl.

We are still waiting.

Her bags are packed.

His bags are packed.

My house has never been so clean!

So what do we do while we wait?

We cast her cute belly.

Y'all...

Bellies are so mush cuter than in my days.

Really!

Not a mark on her tummy and it's just so perfect.

Have any of you ever tried this?

It's pretty cool.

A friend of hers gave her this really neat kit and it's so easy.

A little messy but loads of fun!

I believe she is going to have his picture taken in it after he is born.

Not sure what she will do with it later.

So that's our update for now.

xoxo

Another sweet prayer...

Nothing brings joy to a family like a new little one.

We are still waiting...

Gosh that's  the hard part.

So I'm trying to keep myself busy.

Guess you can tell where my mind and heart have been.

LOL...

Just something so sweet about children's prayers!

This one reads...

God in heaven
hear my prayer
keep me in thy loving care.
Be my guide in all I do,
bless all those who love me too...

Amen

I had to paint this one...

I just had to.

I love the way the gold just shines in the sunlight...

Do you have a favorite childhood prayer?

I would love to hear them.

The sweetest prayer ever

This has got to be one of my favorite bedtime prayers.

It's much softer and sweeter than the older version.

Won't you agree?

I just could NOT get past the if die part.

Oh so gloomy.

Do you have a favorite bedtime prayer?

I hope a night never passes that Holden doesn't hear a sweet prayer.

One of Kay's favorites

I see the moon and the moon sees me

God bless the moon and God bless me.

And just in case you may be wondering,

This baby will never be short on signs and bible verses...lol.

One of the great things about having grandchildren.

You can love and spoil them all you want!

And just in case you have a "little" that you would love to spoil some....

This sign is available for sale.

It is hand painted and distressed on wood.

It measures 25 1/2" x 25 1/2"

Cost is 125.00 and that includes shipping within the US.

Oh Baby!

Babies..
 Though they are small
they sure know how to fill a space!

Today I'm sharing a few tips on how to maximize your space.

An awesome idea are these clothes dividers.

Are they not the cutest!

My friends Fran and Fern over at watch me grow stickers

sent these over for Holden  SO SWEET!

Trust me, little clothes start adding up and they don't stay in them long.

These adorable dividers keep them nice and labeled.

                                                                  Y'all ... the sweetness!!

Who said you can't dress boys cute?

They must not shop with my daughter lol...

I have a new love for John Johns...

Blankies...

You know you will have a thousand or more so one cool way is to bag them.

My niece shared this idea with Kaylee and boy does it save some valuable drawer space.

What she used is a door hanger shoe organizer.

They are see through so you find just what you're looking for.

Fran and Fern also sent over these cute little watch me grow stickers.

                                                                     They just peel and stick!

                                                                  Thanks again for the sweet
care package from Watch me grow Fran and Fern

                                                           Now the hard part....

                                     waiting and waiting..........

AKA Nonnie

Mommy to be

My baby is having a baby y'all...

I hope I don't become one of those moms...

but honestly, I don't mind.

I hope all of you will be patient with me.

It's my first!

Kaylee was so sweet to let me take a few photos of her.

I told her she will want these one day.

It's kinda hard snapping pictures in the frrrrreeezzzing cold but she did great.

We hurried and made it back inside before the frostbite kicked in lol

I'm sure every Momma is proud ... but this girl... she has my heart!

Once we made it back inside and started defrosting, we got creative.

My Grandmother "Maw Maw" passed down one of her slips to Maddy.

It has to be at least 100 yrs old.

How special to have Kaylee wearing it today.

And sweet lil Leroy...

I think he will be in many of Holden's pictures.

I think I did a pretty good job for just messing around and no editing.

Guess it helps having such a pretty prop..lol

And now...

                                                                       We wait!!!

                                                                         xoxo, Susie
