Painted burlap hoop DIY

Y'all...

This craft was so much fun!

After making my two burlap wreaths, I had a bit of fabric left over.

No waste no want.

So I quickly found a use for it.

This project took only minutes and no painting skills needed.

If you can color in a coloring book..... You can paint this... I promise.

It's just painting within the lines.

You can download monogram fonts like this from here.

I drew mine out on paper and traced over it with a sharpie.

I placed my burlap inside of a wooden hoop and taped my pattern to the back of it.

I then removed my hoop and flipped it over.

This is where the fun begins!

All you have to do is paint right over your see through pattern.

It's that easy y'all!

No worries if the paint doesn't fill in all the holes.

Hang to dry for about 30 minutes.

Once dry, I popped it right back into the hoop.

I think these would make the sweetest wedding presents..

This was so easy and fun, I now want to paint a very large one for above my bed.

Trust me, you won't be able to make just one!

  1. Susie, that is so adorable! I bought a large embroidery hoop to work on a project for my step-mom, but once I'm finished, I may put it to use for ME!

  5. So glad I saw this posting today- this would be an awesome gift for my parents- this year is their 50th wedding anniversary. They want no gifts, no party in their honor- so I was really wondering what to get them. Mom loves primitive and country things, I think this would be perfect. I'm gonna give it a try...wish me luck!
