Oh how I love thee...
I have a few antique blue jars that I have found over the years and adore them.
I was always afraid to do anything with them from fear of breaking one.
So when I heard of Ball's 100 year commemorative jars, I had to help myself!
Now I won't be afraid to try my hand at few DIY's.
I'm so crushing on this one below.
She sells her blue beauties here on her Etsy.
And while I'm on the subject of "blue jars"..
I thought I would share these lil darlings.
My friend Sasha makes them and you can find them here.
I just ordered one and can't wait to see it.
I have been crushing on these for sometime now but she sells them as fast as she can make them.
So far I have used my pretties for flower vases and utensils holders.
And when I'm not putting these guys to work...
They are showing off in my cabinet.
I found my jars here.
I have also heard that they are now at Kmart as well.
I have two cases and I just can't wait to DIY up a few.
You can bet I will be sharing soon.
xoxo Susie
I have one old one and it is like gold to me! Guess where I got it.. the town we used to live in had a farmer's market. There is a lady there who grows and sells cutting flowers. If you buy a bouquet which costs about $3 or $4, you get to pick the container. I chose an old blue Ball jar. Isn't that neat? I love mine! Are the new ones the same tint of blue?
ReplyDeleteHi Susie - Love those teatowels!! I just got in the mail last week a dozen of the new "old" blue jars. Can't wait to play around with them. Yours look great.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Monday!
Judy
Thanks for the tip that these jars are at Kmart....bought some today. Your blog (and your heart) are lovely.
ReplyDeleteOh Susie, how I loooooooove those blue jars. I ordered two sets from the internet and they probably came out twice the price of real vintage but it doesn't matter because the colour is so beautiful! On a message board I read that Ball will have a single colour release each year and so far pink and green are also scheduled. Won't those be amazing too?!
ReplyDeleteMy treasured new blue jars go to work with me each day with my raw oats/chia seed/almond meal breakfast. No crafting for mine. lol
They are so pretty and much more vibrant than my aqua collection. Love them. I reallllly hope they come to Canadian stores soon. I keep checking lol.
ReplyDeleteHello Susie!
ReplyDeleteI just read your blog post and wanted to thank you for including my blue mason jar soap dispenser from my Etsy shop Judy's Junktion. These are all great uses for repurposing the beautiful vintage blue mason jars. Thanks again!

“Women really dress based on their body shape. For example, Black Bandage Dress I’m very athletic. I have bigger shoulders and bigger bust Herve Leger Dress and smaller in the hip area. So when it comes to Herve Leger, Dirndl Dress for me it’s really about A-line dresses because it gives me a hip but minimizes me on the top.”While there’s no doubt that Lubov and her husband, Max, design for women everywhere, you can’t help but imagine her stamping Halloween costumes a mini-claim on a certain white dress and capelet pair when it was in its early stages. It’s a look we can imagine every woman instantly coveting when it’s available in April.
