With every Christmas finale, I reflect and my heart overflows!
Even after 22 years, I still have to pinch myself and acknowledge the fact that I'm their Momma.
And just for Momma record keeping...
Jesse survived his first full year living on his own.
He grew a beard full enough to join the Duck Commanders film crew. lol
And.... he started night school on top of his full time job. So proud.
He is such a hard worker and never gives up!
Kaylee is in her second year of college and is starting to get into the swing of things.
She has really worked hard and her grades reflect it.
She also works partime whenever she can squeeze it in.
I can't wait to see where God leads her.
Madison.
My sweet quiet little Maddy.
She joined the adult choir at church this winter and loves it!
She is wrapping up her Cheer
leading for 2012/2013 school year.
Her goals are to take lessons and master a back flip!
So after Christmas we vegged.. HARD.
I did nothing.
We did throw a few things in a bag and headed North.
My Sister and Brother in law have a camp up there.
Deep into the woods you go.
No internet. No noise. No worries.
Maddy would live there if she could!
I think Heidi would too!
Only problem I have is checking for ticks when you leave the woods.
It just kinda grosses me out.
When we arrived late that evening they had homemade chicken soup waiting.
Yum!
And we woke to this going into the oven.
So pretty much to sum up our holiday..
We ate and hung out.
Thanks for hanging out with me in 2012.
Lots of new stuff coming in 2013.
Hope you'll stick around.
xoxo Susie
You always make me happy, Susie Q. Happy New Year to you and yours :) Nancy
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! As a fellow Louisianian, I love how so many of your posts are about our home state Ü So glad y'all had a great Christmas and New Year. Beautiful kids!
ReplyDeleteHi Diane! I could not find your blog to reply so I hope this comment makes it's way to you. Thank you neighbor for such sweet words on my blog. I love our state and people and love to share with all of my blog friends. I'm from the deep south, how about you?
DeleteHappy New Year Susie. My hubby and sons headed for the woods as soon as Christmas was over. Left me here alone for a day or two. Yes, I enjoyed it. :)
ReplyDeleteMy oldest son is 23. He also showed up at Christmas with a Duck Dynasty beard. He is doing an internship with a police department right now...his last year of college. We made him promise to get rid of it before he goes back to the police station!
Looking forward to the New Year & all the inspiration you give me :)

I just love your little family- your kids are doing so well because you're their momma- and Mark isn't too shabby either. Wishing you and yours all beautiful things in '13
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed having you at the little house in the big woods, it was a sweet surprise that y'all came.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing the picture of all your kids together...a handsome crew!! Looks like you all had a great little get-away....love the quiet time. Now what exactly is that delicious-looking apple circle dish? What's in it and is that crescent rolls or what? I love anything that has apples in it and if it's hot it's even better!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Susie!

Speaking of just adding your favorite jacket, Bandage Dress Lubov almost always wears Herve Leger separates.Perhaps because of Herve Leger Replica how we show our pieces, or just the assumed way of Herve Leger, Oktoberfest outfit people tend to wear our collections together, as one piece. But I like them as separates; it’s almost cooler,” she says. “I would put this jacket with a pair of jeans or a work skirt. And of course it all Animal Costumes but if you’re in L.A., you just wear the skirt with a T-shirt. The great thing about Herve separates is that it adds high fashion glamour to any number of basic pieces you already own.”depends on where you live,

Spot on with this write-up, I truly think this website needs much more consideration. I’ll probably be again to read much more, thanks for that info.

I’m impressed, I must say. Really rarely do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head. Your idea is outstanding; the issue is something that not enough people are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to this.
