Just wanted to drop in and share a commissioned piece I just finished.
She wanted Thanksgiving on the front
and
Christmas on the back.
How cute is that!
Two for one..haha.
I also loved her idea on adding the little stripes on the edge..
kinda connecting the two..
And when Thanksgiving has passed..
You flip er over and there you go.
Tis the season!
I really don't make two sided signs often and had to figure out how to hang one.
I used some tiny little screws with eyes and wire.
I could just think of a million quotes that would be so cute on a sign like this.
Maybe a Birthday and Easter?
Or
How about Happy Mother's/Father's Day?
The ideas would be endless!
Hope she likes it!
xoxo Susie

ReplyDeleteThank you Stacey!
DeleteVery cute! I love all the little details.
ReplyDeleteI think that was my favorite part of the sign too Chessa. The little lines on the edges. I may have to do that again.
DeleteI really love this. Could you tell me how much you are selling one like this for? I love the black and white on the edges...
ReplyDeleteI love your work. I have enjoyed my vintage keys name sign sooo much.
Thanks, Susie...

Hi Miss BJ! I'm so glad you are still enjoying your vintage keys. I would love to paint another for you any time. This sign "tis the season" measures 30" x 7" and sells for 45.00 shipping is included. Thanks!
DeleteI once took a "Peace on Earth" sign, turned it over and painted "He is Risen". It had a keyhole style nail hole on the back of the sign used to hang it. To integrate that with my new sign I painted around it with antique brass paint to make it look like a true keyhole. I then painted faux nail holes on the lateral sides. It looks as if I've turned an old drawer front into a sign. Two signs for one.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog!!!
What an awesome idea!! I think my favorite part is the little keyhole...how cute!! Thanks for sharing
DeleteYou are just so clever making a two sided sign like that! Your blog is so inspiring.
ReplyDeleteNow if it was only my idea..hehe. Thanks to sweet clients for allowing me to bring their ideas ti life. love my job :) and thank you for reading ((hugs))
