It's so much fun going out of town but it's so good coming home.
Home for me is Louisiana!
Just North of my hometown is a little village called St. Francisville.
If I had to move, I think I would call this home.
Here are just a few reasons why...
Brick lined sidewalks for summer evening strolls.
Welcoming iron gates and fern covered patios.
Summer porches for sippin' sweet tea.
Screened in sleep porches hidden in the back.
Trickling fountains and birds chirppin'
Congregations where everyone knows your name.
Ivy covered post office.
And the best southern cookin' around.
I love my Louisiana!
Hope if you're ever down south, you make a detour here ;)

I love my Louisiana, too (up north) :-)
ReplyDeleteThat looks like such a nice place.. maybe i can talk the hubby into a little road trip one day and eat at that little cafe.
ReplyDeleteso pretty! Is this close to Baton Rouge at all? My husband is going there for business later this month and me and the kids are tagging along
ReplyDeleteHi Anna!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is about a 30 minute drive from Baton Rouge. They have some really sweet shops to visit there too!
I love the pics Susie! I am down South (Ga) and we have some pretty houses like that too, but they are in Savannah Ga, that's about a 6 hour drive for me here in Atlanta! But I am hoping really hard that one day soon we will be moving.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to get out of Atlanta! ((:
I love your blog, and you have a beautiful family, your Maddy looks EXACTLY like you.. ... come to think of it, so does your sister!

Gorgeous photos! My ♥ belongs to La. as well and always will. We live in Grayson, but travel to Baton Rouge often to see our daughter. We usually go around by Alexandria because of the construction arnd. St. Francisville. It is a gorgeous place though Ÿ Is the construction finished? I hope so because our next trip will definitely be thru there Ü
ReplyDeleteI love all those homes! Simply Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSusie, you had me at 'Louisiana'! Love my home state; and all of the wonderful homes and scenery. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful houses, and I love the post office covered in ivy. I'd really like to visit one day!
ReplyDeleteHey Susie! I haven't fallen off the face of the earth! :)
ReplyDeleteI love all those houses...I wish I could come visit and you and Missy take me on a tour of all the lovely places around your little corner of the world. One of these days... :)
LOVE this place! My husbands friend has a log cabin nestled in the woods there and lets us use it occasionally...we can never get enough of St Francisville...but I am also in LOVE with Natchez Miss!

“I love the idea of movement, but this White Bandage Dress can be especially difficult to achieve with a knit because they’re all Herve Leger Bandage dresses going to be formed to the body. So we love to add movement Beer Costume with these bands that emulate fringe, and the shine of the beads gives a further illusion of movement.”Oh and what was Lubov herself wearing to work yesterday as I captured all this? An Herve Leger moto jacket: the perfect synthesis of what she calls “girls run the world” power and never-stop movement.

There are certainly a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to bring up. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important thing will be working in honest good faith.
