All good things must come to an end.
Or should they?
The BEST is yet to come!
much better :)
Well no doubt here that summer is a wrap.
It was good to us this year.
A trip cross country with my favorite girls, a week in Florida, birthdays, church camps,VBS...
I could go on and on...
Funny how school puts a hush on the world.
Play houses are empty and bikes are parked.
And houses stay clean!
Did I just here an Amen?.....ha!
Oh.., that was me ;)
Madison started her first day of middle school.
I'm ok....I didn't cry...too much.
Now Madison....she did great!
She has always been my social one and school is still cool...
Thank you Lord!
And just in case you are wondering..
Her lunch bag came from Wal Mart,
monorgramed by my sister. Thanks Miss!
This is her "Momma that's enough pictures" look.
Before we tucked away summer, our church rented our community pool.
How cool is that!
I love our church.
Madison brought along her bestie Jordan.
They just so happen to have every class together this year :)
So we close another summer and get ready for the fall...
Fall.
FALL?
Are you there?
Anytime you are ready.... we are here. Waiting.
Till then...
I will look back on these sweet moments with just a blur..
Taking it in... one breath at a time.
xoxox Susie~

I am SO glad I still have a little over 3 weeks before I have to say "so long summer"........
ReplyDeletesweet post! :o) we still have 2 weeks until school starts (and i can't wait!!!). we leave on our last minute beach vacation on saturday...that should make the last 2 weeks of summer vacay fly by!
ReplyDeleteThat Maddie is adorable!!! And yes, summer has seem to have flown by, but for the life of me, I will NOT miss this heat. Fall? BRING it!
ReplyDeleteSuzanne
Wow, school starts early for her. We still have a few weeks but the oldest is moving to college this Saturday. Yikes. time is flying
ReplyDeleteSent my son off this morning too. He is a senior this year. Fall, what fall?? LOL Susie, fall in Louisiana is still summer to me. I haven't been able to get used to it yet. We love winter in Louisiana. It reminds us of fall back east.
ReplyDeleteHi Susie! School already? Man, that's fast! Oh, my goodness. I can't believe that is little Madison! She is all grown up and so pretty. Susie, she looks so much like you. Look at her pretty hair!
ReplyDeleteYou brought a tiny tear to my eye thinking back on the times my children were still at home! But PRAISE GOD they're own their own now , married and my nest is empty! Did I just say that! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
A little teary eyed after reading your post Susie...so sweet! Madison looks so cute for her first day of middle school. My son will be starting 7th grade and my daughter will be a sophomore this year. Where does time go? Sniff, sniff...:(
ReplyDeleteI have a 9th grader and a senior this year, so I so feel your pain. Your post is beautiful and so is you sweet Madison.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe your summer is already over. We start back in 3 weeks...still too soon. My son is a rising freshman in high school and my daughter is a sophomore in college. It's amazing how time flies when you're having fun. Hope your daughter has a great year...Christine@basketofhydrangeas
ReplyDeleteback to school time already? I do sort of miss those days of shopping for supplies, labeling everything, the NEW book bag, even though the old one was fine! Since my kids wore uniforms, we didn't have that fashionable fun, but I can see that Madison gets into it. She is SO pretty, Susie. Watch out!!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
What a touching post. Very nostalgic for me...
ReplyDeleteAnd Madison is so so pretty, a natural beauty, she has a great look, I bet the guys loooove her...
Cindy
we have 3 weeks that are going to fly by Im sure :(
ReplyDeleteMadison has an amazing head of hair! :)
ReplyDeleteMy youngest is also starting Jr. High next week and my oldest starting high school! I think I may just cry. I dread the ending of summer even though I do enjoy spending my day more how I want - it's more structured and cold. And I hate that tradeoff!
I had to laugh...Maddie's pic with that "that's enough pictures, Mom" look. So familiar.....I have a bunch of those of my kids. And you know what....I WISH I had made some more!!!
ReplyDeleteShe is precious...Have a great year in school Maddie!
It's hard to believe that summer is coming to an end and schools are starting. What fun at the pool with your church family.
ReplyDeleteRuth
lovely post. this is the first summer I am NOT ready to send my kids back to school. They are getting older. I will miss them. But I will like my clean house too!
ReplyDeleteFrom the little girl in your first pictures on your blog to this young lady going to middle school...WHY do they have to grow up? Sound Man told Kiddo just tonight he wanted him to stop growing, and I had to agree. We started 7th grade this year. WHERE has the time gone?
