Drum'tastic!

I have finally joined the drum revolution!

Not that I was in any rush... ;)

But...

Our old gal broke!

Now my husband thought this would be just fineanddandy...

I think NOT..

Although I'm gonna miss the old girl and her tricks!

Jesse, aka handyman son, came to my rescue.

My hero~

I found this drum pendant at Lowes for a song.

And with a 10.00 coupon it just sounded sweeter.

Just one problem ...the color was beige

Oh.yes.I.did!

Painted that baby right up..I did.

I used the same bright white on my walls.

Hello darlin'

I'm toying with the idea of adding a ribbon trim or maybe painting something jazzy.

Did I just say jazzy?

You can still see the beige on the inside trim here.

I didn't want to waste my time if I decided to add trim.

Now if only my mix-matched stove would die ;)

Just kidding...maybe.

xoxo Susie~

SO PRETTY!!! usually i'm esctatic when things die around here so i have a real excuse to replace them. however, we are in the process of getting a new a/c installed... not exactly what i had in mind. is that grey on the walls also "cobblestone"?? i painted patches of it all over my kitchen, but i don't think it's going to work...i'm still on the hunt for a perfect grey!

I love that you painted that baby right up! My husband likes to tease our dog that he'd better keep moving or he'll get painted. I have the very same light and covered the drum shade with fabric to coordinate with my living room. Use something right out of the box? Pfffft. I say customize!!!

Brilliant! In all ways. The light must be soft and diffuse. LOVE IT!

I know what you mean about your stove. I used to pray (really) that my TV would die so I could buy a flat screen. I almost had to resort to pushing it on purpose out of the armoire. Love your new lamp.

Just absolutely love it!! Looks great and I don't think anyone except you will notice the beige on the inside trim. And, of course, all your readers would now that you've pointed it out to us!!! LOL

Looks perfect! I have a cream shade that I'd love to paint white. I'm curious how your white shade looks when lit. Do you have any photos to share with the light on? Just curious how my lamp shade will turn out. Thanks!
