Truly...

I guess you can say this perky yellow pillow started it all.

It's just so fluffy, silky and fun!

I found all three while shopping for curtains at Bed Bath and Beyond.

Now for the walls.

I started thinking about what I wanted above my bed.

Something that blended but had a lil pop!

I used the same Cobblestone by Martha Stewart for the grey stripe.

The yellow seems to demand a bit more attention in the photo's.
In real life it's a bit muted.

I'm starting to love my bedroom for the very first time...

truly i do ;)

  2. nice!
i bought a sweater in mustard yellow with a gray striped top to go with it for a friend...who thought I was crazy and that it didn't match...
i wondered why i had put those two pieces together...(sry about the long story LOL!) THEN i re-watched The Proposal and there it was! Sandra Bullock had on a yellow top with a gray striped scarf...I think she started the trend!
    The end.

  10. I love the yellow and grey color combination. It's been popping up in my wardrobe a lot lately (thanks to the cool yellow patent leather purse I just purchased). Your room looks totally serene with just that perfect punch of fun. Beautiful.

  11. Alright Susie, I'm commenting for the last several posts! LOVE the bench, the spray painted ceiling fan and this new sign for your room. You can whip up a sign in a heartbeat - we think alike in that area!

I've been wanting something at the end of our bed for a while - love what you did!

  16. Susie - you've had some great projects for your room and they all look great. Love the bed; love the repainted ceiling fan (I was just wondering last week if it was possible to paint a fan in place - and you've shown me that it is!); love the bench that you built, congrats on that; love the cute ruffly pillow, and the art work above the bed is wonderful and so personal - I like that! You have made quite a transformation. How exciting!

  21. I love the art over your bed! I kept on thinking-'That sound familiar'. Then I remembered Gone With the Wind. Scarlett: Oh Ashley, Ashley, I love you.
    Ashley: Scarlett...
    Scarlett: I love you, I do. :)
