Ruffles Anyone?
Maddy's gray walls needed a bit of pink fluffy fluff.
So I started with a travel size pillow insert.
And a neckroll insert.
I gathered up some petal pink sheer fabric and ruffled away!
Once I had all of my ruffles made I pinned them on.
Round n round...I go~
For the travel size pillow I just did one ruffle down each side.
You know those huge pillows at Wal Mart for just a few bucks?
I think Maddy's came in a bright aqua for 6.00.
Well...I bought a HUGE pillow case from Target (3.00) to cover that bad boy up.
Problem was it was just too plain...
So I pinched and tucked a few diamond shaped do'dads
like this..
And it turned out like this!
I saw one just like it at Target for 25.00.
The only difference were small white buttons.
Maddy didn't want the buttons so that made it extra easy ;)
And the fun began!
I started layer after layer..
The two square pillows in front of "Pinch n tuck" came from a sweet blog friend.
Then came single ruffle guy
Time for Puff Daddy!
love love love
After looking at the pictures, I think I may add a small pinch n tuck on each end
of the neckroll.
The sheer fabric I used has started to fray a bit...
Love it!
It almost looks like feathers ;)

Hi ya Susie!
ReplyDeleteCute pillows. Love the captions on your post too. Too funny. Maddy's room is going to be quite the young, elegant teen room. It's going to be lovely when you are done. Loving all the feminine touches.
OOOH, a sign giveaway. I LOVE all your signs. You made some a while back that were in an old PB catalog. Can't remember what was on them. I will have to look at your etsy and pop back on here.
The ruffled pillows are darling!! I also really like how you fancied up the big white one with your twists & tucks. I think I might have some pillow-making in my future!
