Twas days before remodeling...
And all through the room
Not a tool was being used, not even a broom.
The children were nestled all smug in their heads,
While visions of sleeping late all snug in their beds.
Daddy in his pj's, and I in his shirt,
still trying to digest that one huge desert.
When out of the blue, my head filled with clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the room I flew like a rocket,
Tripped over some toys and stepped on a socket.
The street light giving off a warm fuzzy glow,
Gave view to an object seen below.
When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But an SUV and 8 bloggers so dear.
Faster than the internet and clearer they came,
The driver smiled and sang out each name!
So up to the house faster they flew,
Each with a power tool,
It was then that I knew.
They were dressed all snazzy
ruffles and boots,
big fancy cameras for Heather to shoot.
Their eyes how they twinkled,
camera straps so sweet.
Supplies all organized and lined up neat.
They spoke not a word,
tweeted only a few.
Ripped open paint cans and knew just what to do.
My heart how it raced,
My head trying to conceive.
Without my darn camera, would blog friends believe?
Then it happened!
Like one cruel joke.
The neighbors dog barked....then I awoke!
No friends in the house
no new paint on the wall....
No worries here..
I'll be there Ya'll!
