My Life. The Novel.
Ever think of your life as a Novel?
My sister thought I would like these for my Christmas Cards. Ha!
Guess I have been reading way too much... "Twilight"
(which by the way I am almost finished with the last book :) )
My life...Sitcom maybe...
If I could really step away from my aging body, I would get a huge laugh I'm sure.
Not at the wrinkles I proudly possess....just the crazy things that cause them.
Example shown above....
While trying to get a family photo for our Christmas Cards.
My son is no Edward.
I have no idea what made him climb in that tree nor what went through his head.
He is 20 years old for Petes Sake....sitcom I tell ya!
My sister... snapping away while laughing out loud!
I could not fuss at him because I was too busy...
chasing after our 3lb dog while ...
My husband reminding me "why you should never include your pet in family photo"...
My cell phone was ringing...
Kaylee complaining she wore the wrong boots...
and Madison...precious child of mine... was freezing to death!
Really?!
My life.
Novel.
Sitcom.
Comedy Relief.
My life.
Funny how living it ...
live
It never seems funny at the time.
Step away for a few weeks. Recover from the drama.
And your prospective warps into a strangely sweet memory.
Almost like childbirth...ha!
So to you mothers out there with small children,
It's ok it their clothes don't match.
The lady in the grocery line gives you funny looks.
You could feed a third world country with fries alone from your back seat.
And Yes,
you have to sniff to make sure you didn't forget your deodorant.
Times like these will quickly fade.
Wrinkles wont.
I think it's a gift to remind us of our sweet memories and indurance.
By looking at myself in these photo's....I have had plenty :)
Thank you Lord!
Susie~

These are so precious! When I tried to think of words that would describe our family Photo shoot at Thanksgiving, "circus" and "zoo" came to mind! Just wait until you have grandchildren to add to the mix! I love the tree climbing and your sis did a great job by the way! Thanks for sharing them with us!
ReplyDeleteWhat great photos! With Indyand James Bond , I'd have to say on most days my life is an adventure/sitcom/comedy of errors.
ReplyDeleteThe pics are great! I to have 3 kids..however mine are 15 months, 3, and 6 right now and the fries, mismatched clothes dirty looks fits my life to a T on a daily basis
ReplyDeletethis is such a great post! The wrinkles are worth every single minute of it too! :)

I don't love wrinkles but my laugh lines I do, they remind me of how much fun and how many smiles that show up on my face on a daily basis! :) I had to laugh with the feeding a third world country with the fries in the car, yeah, that is soooo us!! You are beautiful inside and out! :)

ReplyDeleteSusie,
ReplyDeleteyou have a beautiful family. the pics look great and you don't look a day over 30! : )
I don't see wrinkles.
Love ya
The photos are wonderful and yes, the time goes by so quickly. Before I know it, Caden will be off to college and the house will be very quiet:(
ReplyDeleteWords to live by. My 10 year old has been giving me a run for my money lately, nice to know we will all survive, and even chuckle a bit looking back.
ReplyDeleteYou ended up with a beautiful family photo. Adorable -all of you!
You have a beautiful family. The family pics turned out great. It's crazy what we have to go through to get them, but it is so worth it! Thanks so much for your words of encouragement as well. My three are 8, 5, and 3 (girl, boy, girl). I was cracking up at smelling under your armpit, ect. I can add the horror of realizing I actually got to take a shower, fix my hair, and put on makeup, and then realizing in the car that I forgot to brush my teeth, and possibly put on deodorant. I try to carry gum with me, just in case, and I carry deodorant with me in my purse! I could go on, my poor kids, sometimes they don't match. As usual you've made me lough out loud. Thanks for sharing. I needed that.
ReplyDeleteLindsey :)

I love the photos! Beautiful family and beautiful life!
ReplyDeleteSusie, your post really tickled me! It is often the moments in life that are really crazy end up being the funny stories we get to share later! I feel like I'm living in a sitcom sometimes too! You really have a lovely family even if one member likes to climb trees! ;-) If you have a moment, stop on by, I have a giveaway.
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful family...inside and out! The commentary was perfect, along with those photos. Thanks for sharing with us out here in blogland! I don't know what it is about you, but there is familiarity about you. I think it is the love of family that exudes from your blog. That, I can connect with and understand! Sorry for sounding stalkerish, but I've always loved you and your blog, your family, and your take on life. Thanks for sharing it all.

Girl, your family is beautiful. Maddy looks more like you every year. And I'm glad you reminded me that even in the very hard times we will have things to look back on and laugh at. : )
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and a beautiful family. I can so relate to the wrinkles coming fast and furious as I approach the big 40.
ReplyDeleteYour post is too funny. My favorite line is "And Yes,
you have to sniff to make sure you didn't forget your deodorant."
