I like this Susie. It seems that I have gotten so tied up with "life" that I don't even get to enjoy "life". My words this year are simplify and exhale. How am I doing so far? Well, let's just say it is isn't easy! :) I am in with you on this journey! :)
I will enjoy His grace, His timing, His mercy...I will along with you, sister!
i love this post!! i love how just typing or writing something out can have so much meaning to yourself than just saying it. it feels more like it is set in stone when it is out there for everyone else to see!! good luck to you and your sweet release! :)
Ahhh, sweet release. Love that phrase. Trying to control everything, every feeling and everyone is exhausting. I hope I can let go (a little more) too.
This is my first time to your blog, and I love your post today, My thing for this year is to slow down, and quite being so stressed all the time, I'm always rushing to get everything done... It's something that I'll have to work on! Hope you have a wonderful week! I just joined as your newest follower!!!Blessings~~ Daphne
Sweet release~what a motto for the upcoming year. I know that often times I long to control and I need to let go and let God.Thank you for opening your heart to us and sharing.Ruth
Susie, Let Go. Let God. Your Friend, Deborah
Sweet Release. Thank you for sharing, that is exactly what I should do.
You know, you get to a certain age, I'm 57, and you come to realize that you can't do it all and it doesn't all need to be perfect. I started feeling this way sometime in my 40's and I can't tell you how liberating it is. I am a much happier person and I'm here to tell you that menopause is a sweet time of life.
Letting go is something I too struggle with,oh when you do the release is defintely sweet!
Sounds good...letting go. My word for this year is content. Hugs,Adrienne
Love your honesty...those of us who want to control life have a way of being taught that He; not we are in control :-)
Sounds wonderful Susie! What a great start to the new year!Nothing but good can come from there.. :)Much love,Deborah xoxoxoxo
Great words! This describes me as well! It makes for an uptight person. My goal for the year is "Let go of the details and enjoy life more!"Happy New Year!
Always so much easier said than done, but if even a little progress is achieved - it's a step in the right direction. I'd love to come along on that journey with you, but I'm afraid I'm still in denial about my need to let go. Perhaps, some time in the future - with gentle reminders and with view of a good example....perhaps, I'll make at least some progress.
Good for you!!!
Oh how I needed this post. I don't know if I can let go but I need to try. Thanks for a wonderful post:)
Wow! I just posted about this over the weekend..go check out my blog! Still praying and still trying..thanks for the reminder, His timing is better than mine.
What a beautiful post! Debt is holding me captive so our goal is to start on the journey to become debt-free for 2011! WE were inspired by Dave Ramsey. Love your site. Thanks for all the inspiration.
Such a wonderful and PERFECT post for this new year....it's so funny how when we are younger we demand so much perfection from ourselves and others ~ but as time passes we realize what is truly important in our lives ~ I wish you a wonderful new year Susie!! xxoo, Dawn
I have been struggling with naming my main issue in my life, and then it was like the Lord audibly said, "It's fear, Heather, dear." I want to control things and people because I'm afraid they won't like me or do what I want, or I won't get to sing as much as I want, or whatever. We'll go on this journey together, Susie girl. Have you thought about going to Relevant this year?
Beautiful post! Over the last couple of years, I have learned that it's important to "just be." A very amazing evangelist once said, "God didn't create human 'doings' He created human 'beings.'" I love this and need to remember this. It's so easy to get caught up in perfection, performance or comparing oneself to others...God loves us for who we are, not what we do. :)Be Blessed...
As a single Mom of 3 and going to school full time, I had to learn those wonderful words years ago! ;) Life is better when you can let go. Some may think I've let go of too much. But really, if it is too much, too hard, then it is time to "let go". I'm better for my kids because of it! Thanks for reminding me why I let go all those years ago. Good luck on letting go!Rebecca@RootsAndWingsCo
Dear Susie,Greetings from Canada's west coast. I am Renee, I live on an island here in the Pacific North West. Not too far, as the crow flies, from Forks. You Twilighters know what Im talking about. We also share creativity and and a love for God! Presently I am running a bible study. Eighteen women showed up for the present course. We met last Wednesday and the roof bout lifted off the place with pure joy. Women are being transformed and set free with the tender love of God. The course?? Heart Physics. Its a 30 day biblical meditation course. I did it five years ago and have not been the same since! I see that God made you a creative organised woman. This control thing you are struggling with is a heart issue. You are reaping, as we all do from the things that bind us, benefits. I highly reccommend heartphysics.com to you. You will be transformed by love and joy, not grinding your will against your heart that aches for control.Love the blog.Shalom,Renee closson
Your blog looks nice, even so it would be far better if you’ll be able to use lighter colors too as a professional design. This will make sure that a lot more readers come to check it out.Informative post by the way!online pharmacy
