Homecoming!
My sweet middle child.
Kaylee
She hates being the middle child.
I was a middle child too but I loved it!
Nothing like being smooshed with love ....I always say :)
A few of her friends got together before the dance at a friends house.
And the group grew...
They were so stinkin' cute!
They reminded me of a bag of skittles.
Or... maybe I was just real hungry :)
But anyway..
She has the sweetest friends.
I just adore this little bunch!
Oh the shoes!!!
My feet hurt just watching these girls.
Is it just me or has the heels gotten higher?
The first year I asked the girls to get together for this shot
they thought I was crazy!
Now they look forward to it..ha!
Nothing like starting a tradition.
Thank goodness they didnt have reservations at the same place ;)
I thought it was just so sweet how the boy's helped one another out.
I cant believe this will be her last Homecoming. sniff
The sweet girl next to her has been in her class from D-K on..
They even went to Girl Scouts together!..sniff
I'm not sure what Kay was doing in this picture..
I just loved the look on her face.
Funny how you look forward to them growing up.
Becoming awesome young adults.
Making you proud.
And just when you want to savor every little moment..
You know the time is coming.
Why is it so hard?

the girls look great, a bit grown up but I guess that's the goal. What's w/ the boys ear things though? That's something he'll regret when trying to get a job in the "real world" yuck...
ReplyDeleteI miss high school so much! They all look so beautiful. Hope they had a great time!
ReplyDeletethey all looked amazing! and whoa those shoes. they were all amazing. how they stay on them all night is a mystery to me.
ReplyDeleteJust darling. It is sad to see them grow so quickly but my 19 and 22 year old babies are so much fun to be around! It is all good in Mom land!
ReplyDeleteThey all look sooooo CUTE!! I bet they had a blast!
ReplyDeleteyes, those heels DO keep getting higher!! and strappier!

your daughter is going to treasure those pics!
Great post, beautiful girls, handsome boys (& fantastic shoes!).
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing :)
XOXO
Loved your daughter's dress. So unique...and oh my, those heels are something else. So high. I don't wear anything more than two inches myself.
ReplyDeleteThey grow up so fast, don't they?
Oh, how fun! Brings back a lot of memories. Hope they had fun.
ReplyDeleteAw...Susie! Your darling darling looks so beautiful and she looks like her mommy too! Love her gorgeous dress and look at those heels! Oh, my. I don't think I ever had any this high! :)
ReplyDeleteAll of the gals and guys look so pretty and what a wonderful thing they're all so close.
I know they all had a ball.
Here, sweetie, take a tissue! :)
You are a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I sent two daughters to Homecoming this weekend. When I commented about the shoes, my youngest one said- "Mom, you take them off to dance." I see.
ReplyDeleteSusie, she looks beautiful. You should be one proud mama. I'm sure it is bittersweet to watch them grow up and know when it will be their last homecoming, etc. I love the shoe shot and yes those heels look like they hurt BAD.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful girls! You made me cry thinking that my 11 year old will be there in the very near future...I want him to stay my little boy forever!
ReplyDeleteSOOOOO CUTE!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove you lady. :-)
Layla
She looks so beautiful! I can't believe how fast they grow and it is so fun to watch them grow into young adults but also sad to let them go.
ReplyDeleteSo glad we didn't have shoes like that in high school! OUCH!!! ;)
I had to laugh at Paige's comment for I was thinking the same thing and wondering if I had the nerve to say it heehee It looks like those ear spreader things to make the lobes large. Seriously, what are they? haha
ReplyDeleteAND of course, she's beautiful. Look at her mom :)
Your daughter is beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI love her dress..so very perfect for the occasion!!
She is a doll and a sweetie pie too!!
Love seeing all of the girls and guys all dressed up!!
These are some of the best days of their lives!!
Blessings~
Susie, your sweet girl is so beautiful and what a gorgeous dress! Such a fun and happy time from the looks of these lovely photos! My oldest daughter is 14 so I have this to experience in the not too distant future:) Thank you for sharing. Wishing you a wonderful week as always ~ Tina x
ReplyDeleteWow, what an amazing dress! All of the girls look absolutely gorgeous & I love the shoe shot. They all have such great taste & look so good!
ReplyDeleteI love all the beautiful dresses and those wrist corsages are HUGE! What a fun time in your daughter's life, I am sure she will treasure these memories.
ReplyDeleteShe is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI do not look forward to that, honestly. My oldest is just turning 12 and that time is coming too soon.
I just LOVE this part of my life, with them a daily part of it. While I am excited for parts of them growing up, selfishly I don't want this part of my life to end! I don't mind losing the control of them, it's the daily contact and closeness I will miss. sigh.
You are handling it sooo well! ;)

Precious pic's....and sentinents. I have a 16 year old daughter and two grown sons so I can relate.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful girl and great looking friends but I wonder how many times she tripped over that train?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Your daughter is so beautiful. What a great group of young adults! Makes me remember my Homecomings... Wow, now I feel old, I just had to do the math on how long ago that was!
ReplyDeleteI know you are so proud of her!
Susie, your daughter is gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteIts so funny to see the way things change, when I was in high school it was all about long gowns, mostly black or silver--not very many bright colors! Now its pretty much completely opposite! She looks beautiful, it is so hard to see our children grow up though!
ReplyDeleteI love all the bright colored dresses and that shoe shot is so much fun! Your daughter looked beautiful! I hope she had a great time!
ReplyDeleteI have two high school girls - it is interesting to see what kids in other areas wear to different events. My oldest ( a senior) is actually organizing our HS's first homecoming dance (in many, many years). They are all wondering what to wear - they've decided: not as dressy as prom, but fancier than church.

She looks beautiful! My son is 16 yrs. old and still doesn't drive or date. He is just a really good, sweet kid. I love him to pieces. He is growing up and doesn't need me as much but that is okay. The cycle of life, I suppose:)
ReplyDeleteYour daughter is gorgeous!!! I love all of the colors of the girl's dresses...it does look like skittles! :)

“Women really dress based on their body shape. For example, Herve Leger Dress I’m very athletic. I have bigger shoulders and bigger bust bandage dresses herve leger and smaller in the hip area. So when it comes to Herve Leger, Dirndl Dress for me it’s really about A-line dresses because it gives me a hip but minimizes me on the top.”While there’s no doubt that Lubov and her husband, Max, design for women everywhere, you can’t help but imagine her stamping Herve Leger Dresses a mini-claim on a certain white dress and capelet pair when it was in its early stages. It’s a look we can imagine every woman instantly coveting when it’s available in April.
