Somedays just call for cake!
Why not make it fun?
I had a large supply of posies left over from here.
They were just the colors I was looking for.
I took them apart and made these below.
Laid them on some string.
Thank goodness Madison had her booksack handy....ha!
Then I glued those babies down!
Cute!
I used some fruit kabob stick thingamagies.
Tied on a cute bow.
Ya'll this is soooo much fun to make!
So easy !
I made a box spice cake...no homemade here..ha!
Talk about making your home smell great!
I then stood back and smiled :)
It looked so sweet there...
I felt so Susie Homemaker'ish ..
Then Kaylee came home....
Got all excited because I made Cake
And then she found out it was spice!!!
Ugh!
Mom ....you know I hate spice!
Looks like more cake for me...
Saaaaweet!

ReplyDeleteSusy- I love your blog! I've not had much time for blog perusing and reading lately but having a sick day, I did today. I was so pleased to see your blog still feels like a blog, where one feels like they are taking a seat right with you. So many of my favorites have become so commercial feeling and lost that specialness. Thank you for keeping your blog welcoming and warm.

ReplyDeleteI love this! What a darling cake. And a darling daughter. She is so beautiful. I personally love spice cake (is that cream cheese frosting?), so I'm with you woman!
ReplyDeleteThe cake is adorable . . . but nothing compared to your kitchen . . . and surely nothing compared to your daughter. You are blessed three times with adorableness.
ReplyDeleteFondly,
Glenda

We're singing the same song. I made a pumpkin spice bundt cake yesterday (just sprinkled powdered sugar on top for "icing") and before I turned around twice I'd eaten about 5 slices out of it. It was autumn in my mouth.
ReplyDeleteLove your little festive touches!
Very cute...love the little banners!
