One rule to remember while decorating your home
1. There are no rules!
At least that's what I keep telling myself..ha!
Anyway, I have been on the look out for that perfect lampshade.
No luck.
I wanted the shade to fit more than just my lamp.
I wanted it to say "Me".
"My Style"
No luck.
So I started searching outside the lampshade borders.
Got creative
and dove head first in the trash!
Ok...
not really.
But I did go to the waste basket section at Target.
There I found
IT!
The perfect shade that said
"Me"
all over it.
It worked pefect with the style of lamp that I had .
I just unscrewed the finial on top
Poked it thru the basket
and
One lamp made just for me!
It shades the light just enough too.
I did make sure to place a low watt bulb inside
just because the top of the shade was enclosed.
So here's to my new swanky
"trashy"
Lamp shade!
xoxox Susie~

Hi Susie, been a while since I visited, but just in time to see that beautiful lamp shade you made. When you said "Think out of the box" I have a sign that says that, "How can I think out of the box, when I work in a cube" My craft room is small right now and that's what it reminds me of. I also love the flag you made. You are an amazing talented woman. Hugs, Pat
