We have welcomed summer at our home
with "open arms"!
Because we have humidity here so thick you can slice it...
we are reaching some very hot temps..
They say with the heat index included it feels 105
We are feeling it!
Lemons
The smell of them just cools my senses~
The decorator in me..ha
sees yellow and brown in our near future
Do you like Yellow?
I have never been a huge fan of the color
but I am starting to fall for it...
one slice at a time...
So what have I been up too?
Not a darn thing ;)
Making lemonade is my new pass time.
It's so much fun when you can jazz it up too!
I found this sweet drink despenser at Wal Mart!
I only paid $6.00 for it too.
It's not only the price that I fell in love with
It's the fact that it's
Plastic!
I know I know!!
With so many thirsty small "hands"
I dont have to worry if it get's knocked over.
It just makes our Kool-Aid
All the better :)
Living on a budget this summer can still be pretty....right?
Walking....that's another story I will share...soon.
How are you enjoying your summer?
Do you have a neat "summer find" you would like to share?
We would love to hear it~
Happy Summer!
xoxo Susie~
I LOVE that container and for only $6.00....WOW that IS a bargain. I'm going to have to see if my Walmart has these. Enjoy your long, lazy days. We have been hitting some temps. like that too.
ReplyDeletethat drink dispenser is really pretty, especially for that price!
ReplyDeleteI like yellow but in small doses of color. I have some fake lemons in my kitchen and I like the "kitchen lemon" hand soap from bath and body works.
Lemon is a great scent. I love lemon verbena soaps. My sun room is painted a butter yellow that makes me warm and happy in the middle of winter. Wouldn't a nice northernly winter wind feel good right now. Just for a moment though, still like summer better.
ReplyDeleteDebbie
Glad to know it's not only South Carolina where it's scorching. I've been hiding in the house!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your lemonade and stay inside! :-)
Susie, I bought one of those dispensers at Wal Mart and filled it with different teas. Gave it as a Bunco prize a couple of months ago. It was a huge hit and of course I had to blab about how cheap it was. :) It's so pretty for the price!
ReplyDelete$6.00 are you serious? So cute! I'd love a cool glass of that right now! I have never been a huge fan until I found a great yellow for my outside furniture and now I love it!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! :0) Being on a budget can always be pretty :0) Hope you enjoy your summer!!
ReplyDeleteSusie,
ReplyDeleteFound your blog on another blog...you know the story. Your blog is lovely and I am happy I found it. I love yellow....it is warm and happy and is the color in my kitchen.
Thanks for posting!
I love the container. The G'kiddow's would love one of those, too!
ReplyDeleteWe've had some storms come through and cool things off a tad...mid 80's...still muggy though. A tall glass of pink lemonade would be delightful, right about now.
We are at the lake and I have internet..yes, I do...wasn't sure if we would when we left home this morning.
I am in love with these drink containers that have popped up over the past couple of years...I have two and now, looks like I'll be adding to the family. This is so cute, thanks for letting me know where you got it...and $6, wow. Love your pics...I've cooled off 10 degrees just by viewing. Have a great one and keep on making that lemonade!!
ReplyDeleteHey girl!
ReplyDeleteI have that dispenser! I used it for that baby shower I threw a while back...everyone loved it and for only $6.00! Just can't beat it! Oh, and I know what you mean about N.O. I have the same love/hate relationship! :)
xo,
Adrienne
I love that new koolaid dispenser.. and I was thinking it was glass. I need to go find one.
ReplyDeleteHeaded to Walmart for the container!! Love lemonade in the summer!
ReplyDeleteVery refreshing, I’m going to Wal-Mart and buy one.
ReplyDeleteI hope our WalMarche is carrying that cute dispenser. Thanks! And it is extremely hot and humid and awful here in Georgia, too. It feels like August.
ReplyDeleteFunny thing, I am having a bit of a love affair with yellow too... Cute drink dispenser and your pictures are cooling me down we are in the high 90's and I do not welcome it one bit... ugh...
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen these at our Walmart. I will have to look more closely.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your summer
Pam

ReplyDeleteLoving that drink despenser and loved it even more when you said it was plastic. Too cute.
ReplyDeleteA nice tall glass of lemonade sounds good right about now.
Stay cool Susie. ; )
Okay, I might just have to make a visit to Walmart soon. That dispenser is so great!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jill
LOVE your drink dispenser! I saw them at my Wal-mart (I was thinking they were more than $6 though?) and talked myself out of getting one. The next time I went to Wal-mart they were all gone. :(
ReplyDeletelove it, too! i just snagged one for a dollar (but it's far less attractive!) Yours is totally worth the extra 5!! I thought it was glass!
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking of you (and your daughter) today when I came across this blog:
http://www.dietdessertndogs.com/
Please ignore the first photo, I didn't think it looked very good! But the rest of the site has some killer recipes I thought would help her with her allergies. ;)
You.Are.Kidding.....You must have a "fancy" WM cause ours only carry the "necessities of life" nothing more!!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are BEAUTIFUL! Wish I could come have a glass of lemonade with you!!
this is gorgeous...what a great container. my kids keep asking me for one whenever they see it...it looks so perfect with lemonade in it all the time, that would be perfect.
ReplyDeleteHi Susieness! Oh, my goodness! I love this drink thingy! It looks like glass! Now I do love me some yellow! I have a lemon tree in the backyard but it doesn't produce lemons until December! Lemonade at Christmas time! :)
ReplyDeleteWell, as far as summer goes...with Mr. Precious retiring in January, we're painting our bums off! Well, his is gone - mine is still all pooched out there! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Would have never guessed it was plastic. What a great birthday gift with a few glasses to go with it for my friends this summer. Love the look and the price.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your lemonade.
such a sweet post. I love the lemon color for summer...it looks so cheery and fun!
ReplyDeleteI sooooooooooo wish I would've seen this post before I went to TJMaxx and bought a dispenser for 19.00 that is glass!! I do LOVE it and my daughters plan to use it for a baby shower for the other daughter, but we haven't yet used it...maybe I need to check my Wally-World and do a quick return of my TJMaxx one!!! LOL
I love your pictures...the yellow with the brown is pretty sweet too!
I have a love/hate relationship with Wal-Mart. I'll admit it. I hate them half the time, but then I am the first to love their great bargains. I love your W-M bargain. I got great red and blue plates there last week too.
ReplyDeleteLori L
P.S. I have always loved yellow. No hate relationship there!
Susie,That dispenser is really cute...on my way to Walmart. I could have used some of your lemonade today with heat index of 107!
ReplyDeletexo, Sherry
I thought it was glass at first too. Very cute and great price! I'm going to have to go see if our local Wal-Mart has one :)

ReplyDeleteLove the elegant dispenser! You can't beat the $6 price tag either. I am going to scout one out for gatherings in my garden.
Since you asked, check out my post to see my latest 'summer find'!
Your Friend,

ReplyDeleteI too found a great drink dispenser at WM. It is metal and red, white and blue. So old-fashioned looking. Love yours too. Hot here is Arkansas too. Try not to melt!
I'm headed to Walmart to get me one, too! Love it! Here's my summer find: I made pillows out of napkins.

Yummy! I LOVE Lemons! Everything about them - the color, smell, taste! I put them in water and sometimes eat them straight. (I know...bad for the enamel on the teeth)...we are just waiting for more consistent days of sun...temps here are in the 70's (if lucky).
ReplyDeletei am with you! we are sweatin over here! i love the pictures! and i am heading to walmart tommorrow to get me one of those pretty drink dispensers! i sure hope they have one! stay cool!!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLovely shots of fresh lemons and pretty drink dispenser ~ looks so elegant and refreshing! Spring is still lingering here in our neck of the woods. It's grey, wet and chilly. We even had a heavy hail storm this afternoon ~ crazy!
ReplyDelete6 bucks...I'm so going to Walmart tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteSusie,
ReplyDeleteI can't believe this was only 6 bucks. I can't wait to pick up one at Walmart. I love these little dispensers and have been wanting to get one. Thank you so much for letting us all know about it!!!
Hope you are having a great summer!
Hugs,
maria
6 bucks? That is crazy! Now I need to head over to Wal-Mart tomorrow and pick one up!
ReplyDeleteI love that drink dispenser; I love the price; and I ESPECIALLY love that it's plastic! I bought one at TJMaxx for about $12 and it was broken within days. Ugh. Yours is pretty AND practical!!
ReplyDeleteI love the pitcher. Very cute and I would load mine up with sweet tea:)
ReplyDeleteI have been away for 10 days and I am behind in all my blog reading. I feel left out but I am trying to get caught up!
Happy Summer!
Love your lemonade dispenser! It has been hot with that thick air of summer here as well. I am not complaining, though, it stayed cool so, so long this year.
