I'm trying to sneak...
sneak some girlie stuff into our bedroom.
You know
A ruffle here..
A flower there..
I made this Felt Flower Pillow for our bed.
It's not too
Girlie....I think.
I thought you may want to sneak one too.
It's real easy to make.
My husband bought this felt for me the other day at Wal Mart.
He had no idea!
You can find it in your craft center for around .35 cent's each.
I cut mine into strips like this.
Then I bunched it together.
That's it.
Just take your strip of felt and bunch it and pinch the end.
After you have it bunched
stitch it tight and knot it.
That easy!
You can make loose bunches
for larger flowers
or keep it tight for a smaller ones.
You can even sew two together to make one big flower if you would like.
After I had enough flowers
I sewed them onto a plain white pillow.
I made the pillow out of scraps that I had.
Each flower will be different
and that's just fine.
In fact
That's perfect!
Knowing my husband...
He probably wont even notice
that they have ruffles on our bed.
I really think he doesn't mind
Really.
He likes to see me happy
"with his fan on"
Ha!
Felt is so easy to work with!
At first I didn't think I would like the texture
of the felt.
You know...
it's kinda fuzzy.
But I was so wrong.
I have a new love for felt.
It's fun to try new textures.
You just never know.
enjoy~
