This trip touched my soul in so many ways...
It filled my creative cup full to the brim....
It allowed me to meet so many new faces of blogs that I adore...
That's me above...crazy hair and all....
Like Miss Sweet Pea on the left.
And some sweet girls from Rubbish.
Not to mention spending days with my sister.
No road trip is complete without her...
always a story there..like no water
and big glasses..ha!
What better way to end my trip..
Friends!
My best friend Misty just built a beautiful home not far from Round Top.
Lucky girl.
On my way out of town we made sure to stop and see her home and
have lunch at Jason's Deli..
While we were there she surprised me with my other best friend
Christi!
So I say farewell to the great state of Texas...
and rest my feet...
maybe to return in the fall (fingers crossed).
I did bring home a few goodies and hope to share them soon.
For now
I'm up to my eyeballs with
sign painting
slipcover makin'
cottage cleanin'
yard workin'
famiy lovin'
Thank you Lord,
Life is good...
Enjoying the journey!
Susie

ReplyDeleteSo glad you had a good time! I want to browse through the booths...looks like some great stuff! And those Texas bluebells...lovely!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a blast. I love your black shirt in the first picture. A cute shirt always distracts from unruly hair...although yours didn't look the mess you thought it did. Anyway, thanks for sharing your trip with us.

I love all the lavender! I bet it smelled great! :D
ReplyDeleteSo glad you shared your fun and photos with us. I love Round Top area -- it is actually the first place my foreparents settled after leavin Germany and landing in Galveston in the 1800s. Maybe??? that's one reason I am so drawn to this area and it always feels so restful there. Even though, at least twice a year, it's plum crazy !! :) Glad you had such fun, especially with your best friends and sister. Nothin' better.
