This was a first..ok
not really.
I have been known to change my look
Often.
Too often some would say.
So up above you will see my newly made over make over!
You may remember my trip to Round Top when I purchased these huge screens on top my car.
You can visit that post here.
I made quite a few and sold some here.
I saved this one for myself and liked it ok.
But...
You know me and my longing to lighten things up.
I wanted to give it a bit of a "Frenchie Flair"
I get so much inspiration from this girl
Her name is Kasey and you may have seen her awesome blog
I want to move right into her farmhouse
stay awhile.
visit her friends..
and take a trip with her to Ikea.
where was I.....oh yes!
So I took a drop cloth
and painted some "Frenchie" on it..
Then I had fun adding all of my junk treasures to it once again.
Have you ever just started falling in love with your house all over again?
I think I have found my look.
What's your "look" ?
xoxox Susie~

Oh, it's lovely! I like it so much better with the French Flair!
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love drop cloths from Lowes? For 9 bucks you'll be amazed as what one could do. I've go some pillows in mind here for the Veranda.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing S-q!
with love,
Oli
Oh my sweet friend you have such vision. I feel about your site the way you feel about Lola B, and to think you are just as sweet as you are talented. I can't believe you made that from dropcloth. Your birdie tags are so cute on it. Hope you have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteCha Cha
oh my golly gosh...wow!!! that is fabulous!!!! you are one creative chickie :)
ReplyDeleteOOOOH, I love it. And I'll be checking out her blog later. Blessings to you!
ReplyDeleteLOVE it! I have a pillow I just purchased from PB about a week ago that would look fabulous with it!
ReplyDeleteThat is one spectacular mini makeover! Stealing....
ReplyDeleteMy look? I wished I had a look. My look used to be your look (bright and airy) now I'm in this house and it's all dark (and new...it's hard to change new stuff).
Still, I love your look!!
I liked it a lot before but I LOVE the makeover! I bet you won't be able to keep these around for long if you sold them.
ReplyDeleteSarah
It looks great Susie! I love how light and airy everything looks!
ReplyDeleteI love them! The look is great! I know what you mean about changing your look, I recently re-did 3 rooms in m house, a whole new look in each room! It is so much fun! Stop by and peek!
ReplyDeleteMissy
What a great job. You have such a great eye for things and you come up with ideas for for your stuff. LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteOh, I like it so much better in the white. The chalkboard is framed so nicely, now. Great work!
ReplyDeleteI love the new creamy color. And the bird tag is too cute! I bought some drop cloth from my local hardware store, washed it about 3 times and have made some cute table runners. I still have enough left to make about 1000 pillows!! I love the stuff!

I love your look! The message board/chalkboard is so lovely and fun, too! I love how you added the French style to it. My look? I've been trying to figure that out for so many years! I like too many styles!
ReplyDeleteMichelle
it is hard to put a finger on what my style is exactly...eclectic, colorful, vintage, flea market find, and lots of colorful quiltyness. see i was not even sure how to explain it. i love the message board and what you did to that drop cloth. i have 5 stashed away in my closet waiting to be turned into something amazing.
ReplyDeleteI love it Susie!! You know I am lightening up my home too so my look is very similar to your look. :)
ReplyDeleteThere you go again, Susieness! Being marvelous! I love you new project and your home is so charming! I love seeing it.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
J'adore it, Susie!!! ;) My current look says "cluttered, messy family with small children lives here." It is fab. ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the new frenchy look! It totally "makes" that project perfect!! My look I'm working towards...Fresh Classic Style. Now you can sit at your kitchen table with a cup of coffee and a fav magazine and look up and sigh in loving contentment at your new message board makeover! :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Stacey
You have such beautiful ideas, Susie! Absolutely perfect makeover!
ReplyDeleteMy look is cozy and comfortable, with a bit of country mixed in.
Thank you for your sweet visits to my blog. You are an encouragement to me! Hope you have a wonderful week. :)
Blessings~
I love it! Much better lightened up. I really like the striple you also added to the fabric side.
ReplyDeleteFantastic!
ReplyDeleteI am not sure what my look is at this time. Somewhere between cottage, traditional. I am revamping a little bit over here. Hoping to get some painting done soon, and lightening things up a bit. Jackie
ReplyDeleteI love it! I really love what you did to the fabric and in fact my wheels are now spinning. I may be trying something similar soon--thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteLove it Susie...still trying to figure my look out. I am one who needs lots of help and looking at blogs does help me in that area...I just wish I had the eye to put it all together.
ReplyDeleteTell me where you got your pot rack? I have been wnating to get one but being in this small town not much luck...I am going to have to hit the road for one.
The french look is really in right now-I've love what you have done. I wish I had half your energy-I mean that! My mom is a tweaker just like you, her house is always changing and always for the better-When I think it can't get any better it does! Just like yours!
ReplyDeleteRobin~♥
Ah Susie! I just love your makeover!! (I need me one of these!) And Kasey, she's my girl! She has some serious style!!
ReplyDeleteSusie! This is awesome! I totally love it!
ReplyDeleteI get my inspiration from you!

ReplyDeletehellooooooo...
ReplyDeletei think i need one of those.
just saying....
i might even share some of my french wine.
xo
Oh, Susie! You just have that magic touch, girl. It's so adorable! I love every style - I believe that is called eclectic - ha!
ReplyDeletefabulous! what color is that paint, gorgeous, light & airy...it made me feel like i was on vacation.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the french flare! Looks awesome. I hate my kitchen...it needs your touch. :)
ReplyDeleteMy look is in total transition and I am currently not at all in love with my house. I love your house though :). And I like the lightened-up look of your screen/board/thingy. (Also LOVE Kasey!)
ReplyDeleteWell, I really liked the black one, but I love, love the white one! And I think I'm copying your style as I also love it! (just kidding..) My old style was that crafty country look & I'm trying to update my home. I'm going with more gold/mellow colors, some tealish-blue (is that a word?). I'm also using a bird theme with a lot of floral/nature accents. Time for this ole lady to update! I really do enjoy your blog posts.
ReplyDeleteOh Susie, I don't know what my look is right now...and us getting ready to move.....talk about overwhelming!
ReplyDeleteToo cute! Love the painted drop cloth!
ReplyDeleteLOVE, love, love! OMG, Susie, it turned out incredible!!!!!!!!! Where ever did you find the cool stencil...it just totally finishes the piece!
ReplyDeleteYou're so dang talented ~
:) T
I love the transformation! And I love those tags so much that I bought a set from your store. :) I can't wait to get them! You have a great blog. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI really love this! Seriously you rocked it!!
ReplyDeleteI love lots bright color myself, but something about the simple white...yup it tugs on me too! I move too much so I'd say my look is created around displaying my children's arts (crafts, pictures, books, etc). I don't want to buy things to fit this home, when a new one will be coming along way too soon. ;)
Rebecca of the R&W Gals
You got-it-goin-on girl! I love your new looks. So pretty.
ReplyDeletehugs
Sissie
Love it,did ya save me one of the screens? I need it for my craft room or maybe the wall by the ice box ...
ReplyDeletethe before was great, but this new look is definitely more your style. Thanks for sharing another inspiring project!
ReplyDeleteLooks great! What stencil or font did you use?!
ReplyDeleteGreat transformation. I love the new look!
ReplyDeleteOooo lala!! I love it! It looks gorgeous:) You're so creative. I wish I had your style. I just asked my husband what style he would consider our apartment and he said that it was a lot of different things. I'm always wavering between vintage, country, ecclectic and retro. One day I'll get it together;)
ReplyDeleteHey Susie. It's just amazing how you turned those screens into such treasures. I just love your kitchen. Please come spend a week working on my house. Ha-ha.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs...Tracy :)
CUUUUTE! I like the new look on your screen. Susie you have WONDERFUL "Vison" for things. It's a fabulous "gift."
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful blog :) Besos, Rose
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty. I always love your blog posts!
ReplyDeleteAs always, I love it. This version is so light and whimsical. Do you do a craft everyday? How do you prioritize which ones you will tackle?
ReplyDeleteoui oui, this is very good!
ReplyDeleteand i love all the pretties you hung on it.
I love the made over make over! : )
ReplyDeleteI honestly have no idea what my "look" or "style" is. I need your help! : )
Round Top? Population 70? My husband attended a music festival there for a few summers a couple of years ago. I didn't think any one outside of the classical music world had ever heard of such a place. :-)
ReplyDeleteoh susie! love it!!! you did a wonderful job! now i want one! xo
ReplyDeletei'm pressing my hand to my computer screen hoping some of your talent and ingenuity will rub off onto me!
ReplyDeleteI love it. I love your kitchen. I love that your kitchen looks so shiny and clean. I love the bunny in the cage that you can see in the 4th picture down. I love you :)
ReplyDeleteSo love this look. Your home is beautiful. I am trying to figure out what my look is. I love light, whites, frenchy, metal baskets and a few doodads to dress it up. Does that sound like a look.
ReplyDeleteRuth
absolutely *love* this!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, Kasey is marvelous, isn't she?
xx
love it! such a cute idea :) susan
ReplyDeleteLove it...love it...love it!
ReplyDeleteSusie~
ReplyDeleteLOVE the "new" chalk / treasure board! I think we all have white on the brain as I too find myself gravitating towards the white and creams (and silver accessories)
