Trumeau Mirrors..DIY

Trumeau mirrors have caught my attention in a grand way.
To be quite honest I just dicovered their formal name.
Last week I knew them as
"Fancy Mirrors".
This week Trumeau~
So just what does Trumeau mean?
{A mirror having a painted or carved panel above or below the glass in the same frame}
A "Fancy Mirror" I still say
but it's fun to say "Trumeau" too~
Can we build this?
I think we can...
Inbetween birthing puppies that is~

I'm off to build a "Trumeau"...
                                                 I think....
                                                                   xo Susie~

I have always loved these mirrors and have bid on several at antique auctions. They all went for way over my budget. I am excited to see how you recreate this look.

I am in love with these mirrors as well. I always called the "French Mirrors with a panel on top." Close. Anyway, I'm curious to see how you make yours. I have a large mirror panel left over from a project and I would love to make one of these. Can never have too much mirror... Can't wait!

Oh, and the puppies are gorgeous.

If anyone can - I know you can. Can't wait to see your version - I think I will like it even more than the fancy french original - beacuse it will have the Susie touch.

LOL, I used to call them tiramisu mirrors just because Im silly and didnt know how to pronounce the word.
I can't wait to see what you come up with.
When I was at the Paris flea market I thought I would find them everywhere....nope. I ended up with a mirror but not what I was planning on buying.

Love the puppies, so cute how fun!

Awwww, I just got on here & saw the puppies. Wish I was there to hold them & smell their puppy breath. There's nothing better than a puppy.

I have NO doubt you can build a Trumeau mirror! Can't wait to see what you come up with.
