Not just for kitchens anymore~

I am having so much fun with this bathroom ya'll!
It's neat to go outside the box and find things that work

We love bath salts in our house and I have a huge glass jar next to my tub.
Unfortunately the kids dont have that kind of space in theirs so I had to think on a smaller scale.
I found this sweet little sugar pourer for 1.50 and knew right away this could work.

Some yummy soaking salt!

I made sure the opening would be big enough for my salt and it was perfect.

Soaking or bath salts come in so many colors to choose from. We like the Eucalyptus Spearmint and it just so happens to be clear and that works great for me.
The little flower on the shelf came from Target. It's not like those net ones you see. This one is made out of some sort of foam material. I liked the texture and the 1.99 price tag ;)
I'm working on another kitchen item for this bath and hope it works out....if not..plan "B" is always close by~
xoxo Susie~

Hi Susie!
Hope you are doing well.
I am loving all the unique out of the box things you are doing in the bathroom. It's what makes it yours...and of course it's always fun to make it all over on a budget. Makes it all that much more meaningful.
Can you update us on your friend Jane? How is she doing?

Cool idea! Now please share where you get your bath salts...I have not seen the ones that you mentioned...living in the boonies is probably why. Does Walmart carry them? Oh please share and can't wait to see what else you have up your sleeve!

Too cute!!! What a great idea! I bought one just like that at Homegoods, & didn't think of using it for anything other than sugar :). You're too creative!

Accidentally stubled upon your blog a few weeks ago and love it...from your humor and faith to your knack for interior design and ability to replicate anything out of Pottery Barn with a real world budget. And as a side note, I painted my dining room last weekend. (I always paint when my husband travels for work - keeps me sane and focused once the boys go down.) My color of choice? Comfort grey...thanks to you. Keep up the great work!

Almost forgot my original reason for leaving a reply - I actually keep sugar on my bathroom because it is the best exfoliator when mixed with face soap. I need to pick up one of those for the bathroom as well!

I make my own bath salt for plain epsom and essential oil. But mine is in one of my Grandmothers old canning jars. I love picking it up every night and know that it spent much time in her hands. She was force to can her garden veggies every year inorder to feed her family. I love that it was use to substain my family. I know I just got sappy there, but I love your bath and that is a cool solution, can't wait to see whats next. Thanks for the sweet comment on my blog the other day, you are a dear.

God Bless,
Cha Cha

Hi Susie,
It was so nice to see you over at my blog yesterday. I don't know how you do it all but just want you to know we are all thrilled you do.

I love your idea for the Sugar Pourer. I mix cinnamon and sugar in mine and put it by the toaster for easy cinnamon toast for the kids. They love it!

When you come over here to visit your dad someday let me know if you have a little time, I'd love to meet at a coffee shop for some girl talk.

Take care sweetie,
Robin~♥
