DIY Fabric Flower Pillows....

I love these fabric flowers. I went to the mall yesterday and they were everywhere. From shoes to scarfs to mittens and hats. They were in every corner I looked. I even saw a huge leather one on a purse....LOVELY!!  As we all know I cannot sew ....I can stitch and pretend but that's about the extent of my sewing ability. These are my Fabric flowers...on a pillow not sewn by me...I know yall are falling in love with this pillow.....If not yet you will be when I tell you that it was only $5.00 at Wal Mart. EVERYDAY!!!So if you cant sew like me this is your ticket. I tell you though....I dont know if you can even sew a pillow this sweet for under five dollars.I added some of my little fabric flowers and this pillow has a whole new take on life. You too can make these sweet little flowers. I will show you how here or you can buy them from me here.I sewed a great little pin onto the back of the flower so you can put them about anywhere!You can pin them on your pillow and when you are ready to wear that cute little knit hat just pin that baby right on and you are ready to go.I think they would look really cute on a plain white tee too....

These are going to be hot for the spring....I just know it!

  5. that pillow is too cute. I love the ticking flower. I saw your post on how to make these. I am hoping to try and make some over the kids Christmas break. I won't have to run them anywhere, I can just sew and play with fabric till my hearts content.

  15. You know I love flowers! These are cute as a bug's ear, Susie. I use to make something similar when I was embellishing a crazy quilt. I bet you're right on the dollar! These will be hot in 2010. (Hard to even believe I'm writing 2010...)

  17. Those just make the pillow so cute! And they're portable! :)

    I love Wal-mart bargains, girl! We just got our new dishes from there...the Christmas white dishes for $5 for 4! We got two sets of plates, salad plates, and bowls for $30! Can't beat that! And they are so pretty!

  19. Oh Susie... you already inspired me to do this exact thing not so very long ago with rough edged burlap-type of fabric and I put three of them on a pillow that I made from two cloth napkins! They look so pretty and I think of your inspiring site every time I walk by them...

  25. These are so cute! I think they need to be plastered all over my daughters twirly skirts I am making for Christmas outfits. I'm thinkin about 15 of them. THey will NEVER want to take them off! Thanks for sharing!
