Friendship...

Friendship.. That's what I found when I met Layla from The Lettered Cottage. We have laughed together...shopped together..and celebrate together. She and Kevin are just the cutest couple and are not afraid to tackle DIY projects at The Lettered Cottage. You can visit here to find out just why they are celebrating.

A while back Layla asked me to make her a sign for their little cottage. Excited was not the word...NERVOUS was a bit more like it. It had to be perfect for my friend. She and Kevin knew just what they wanted and that made my job easier.

Now if I only had their photo skills..here are my pictures..

I love the colors used here...

I think it looks perfect in their cottage!

I can just see Layla reading a book and drinking her orange juice out of a fancy glass...hehe~ You can go here to see more pictures of their sweet little reading room.

I have been blessed with new friends everyday and have had the joy of painting another special sign for a very special family. Here is a little sneak peek..

She has a very touching story that goes behind this sign and made it a honor to paint.

Thank yall for allowing me the privilege to become a small part in your lives and homes. Im blessed~

Just awesomely lovely....I made a little 'peace' sign for my family out of a drawer front I found at the ReStore. I don't do any freehand painting, just stencils. :o)

Your work is lovely Susie! I love that one you made for Layla and Kevin. I think we all love it so much because of the story behind it. For me that would make painting the signs that much more fun. Just knowing what it means to the recipient would make it a joy for me to make. It obviously does for you too. Smiles. isn't it wonderful to be doing what you love everyday? Not many folks can say they enjoy their job.
Have a blessed day dear friend!

Love your work, Susie. Back in the olden days of graphic art before computers, I worked with a couple of seriously old-school sign painters. Your work always reminds me of that time... there's a warmth you get with hand-painted that you'll never get with vinyl lettering no matter how special the sentiment.

You do beautiful work! Your newest sign must be for a couple that wears claddagh rings for their wedding rings...as my husband and I do. Heart for love - hands for friendship - crown for loyalty.
