Can you tell I'm in need of a vacation?
Bad! My decorating has gone to the beach! I mean if my husband doesn't hurry up and get me outta here I just may cover our walls in sea grass. Replace our floors with old wooden planks from a boat. Hang a tropical net over our bed. Hire a cabana boy to bring me my sonic drinks...{you know that last one is really not a bad idea}!
...but for now I must stay put and allow Madison to complete dance classes and art lessons....and try not to set up a salt water aquarium in the middle of our kitchen. So just please hang in there with me while my brain has gone to the beach and left my body washed up here in my backyard. OOOOOOO gotta go. Ally , our wonder dog has just gotten one of my neighbors chickens....AGAIN!

I am SOOOO with you! I am so in need of a beach vacation! The last time I was at the beach it was 2005! WAAAAY past time to go back! Here's hoping you can get a quick trip in before too long!
I have some shell framed pictures like that... while they do not go in our farm/barn house..I am saving them for my dream house! I used to have them in our former house.

I'm badly in need of a trip to the beach too. We are very landlocked here in Arkansas. *sigh*

The beach sounds really good to me right now!!! We just got home from a 2 1/2 hour ball practice. If it was between the beach or ball practice.....the beach would win EVERY time!

I'm thinking "beach" too. I just put a photo of shells on my blog header and I'm dreaming of aqua for a beachy bedroom redo! Since I only live 30 minutes from the beach, I don't know why I don't just get in the car and go out there for a few hours. ???
If you follow my blog you will see where my heart and mind are constantly...at the beach! It is the place that feeds my soul, and I feel closer to God there than anywhere else on earth. Now I am just trying to figure out how to turn my 40 year old ranch-style home in TN into a beach retreat. Hmmm...

I totally know how you feel. Scott and I are taking a vacation in about 3 weeks but have nothing planned and can't make up our minds where we wanted to go...yet! He's in Dubai again so I have to wait until he gets home on Tue. night and try to figure it out and make plans but I can't wait. I need a VACA bad!!!

Of course, ever since I've started seeing beachy houses I've been coveting one and since I can't have one, I'm thinking my house should be one and I'll settle for a big ole pool instead of the ocean. But I can dream.
