WORDS....

SUMMER IS HERE!!!

It is the best of times....

It is the worst of times....

It is the best of times....

It is the best of times...We now have a new little addition to our family. Her name is peeps. She follows Madison everywhere! She even sleeps in her Barbie house from time to time.

So many projects in my head... So many berries to pick....oh the joys of summer!

  1. Had to laugh at the mess in Mad's room :) Our middle daughter, on the days she didn't clean her room she had to keep the door closed. Yeah, we didn't know what her room liked until she moved out :) Now? She's an immaculate house keeper. There's hope yet, girl :)

  2. Oh that is so funny I walked into my daughters room to put her washing away and just let out a big sigh as I pretty much saw the same vision as you.
She wants her room painted and made a little more grown up. What do you do? Close the door and run is what I say and hope that nothing chases you out the door. God love the little people where would we be without them.
We are all normal and so is most of the mess.

  3. My jaw dropped, litetally, when I saw Madison's room! Too funny! We spent yesterday cleaning little girl rooms so we could get summer off to the right start.

  4. Oh how I remember having a room like that when I was a little girl!

Yay for summer! Though I have no vacation time until my wedding in September and have to work all day, I can't wait for summer evenings and weekends!

  5. I think everyone has a room like that in their house. That's how my room looked when I was little. I'm much better now; there's hope. :-)

    Have a great day!

  6. Good Morning Miz Susie,
It appears little girls are just as messy as little boys *smiles* Or even big boys for that matter *sigh* cause my old enough to know better son's room is a trainwreck. Yup we just keep that door closed! *smiles*

  7. I think it is so funny to see the posts with "real life" pictures. Just makes me love you even more Susie! What will you do with the blackberries? Cobbler maybe? Blackberry cobbler is my very favorite. It is my summer dessert of choice, kind of like pumpkin cheesecake in the fall.

Then, off to the beach for a week of R&R. I can't wait! I have a great recipe for cobbler if you want it. Just let me know.

  9. College boy came home two weeks ago and evrything is still sitting in the same spot! Ick. It's worth it to have him home though.

Just close the door and walk away. What else can you do? Go pick berries. :)

  11. Well if you think that's bad you should see my 20-year-old son's room...I worked so hard last year, pulled up carpeting, painted hardwood floors, bought new furniture at IKEA, painted whole room, decorated it and NOW it is the pit of doom!! Oh well, I can always close the door. And yes I love summertime...it just goes too fast.

  12. I've been wanting summer to be here for the past 2 months! We are almost finished with school (last week), and The Bob went out the door this morning giving me my marching orders, "The windows need to be cleaned, the flower beds need work, there's lots of productive things to be done..." I'm thinking that's not so much what I had in mind for summer! I was rather thinking pool, book, sleeping late. We have blueberries, but they are looking like they have another month before they're ready.

  13. Very cute! Oh how I relate to those photos of "the worst of times". I spent the better part of the morning trying to make my house look like it had not just been hit by a tornado, and my kiddos aren't even out of school yet, they just had a three day weekend. Ha!

  14. Oh good - we're not the only ones with a room like that! haha My 16 yr old daughter's room needs a "condemned by the dept. of housecleaning" sign.

I'm ready for summer too! Bring on the projects! :)

  21. Leah Kate has a walk in closet that I was tempted to do a post on last week. Her idea of cleaning her room is THROWING everything in there. It's a total disaster.

    Love the baby duck!

    Blessings,
    Mandy
