It is the worst of times....

It is the best of times....

It is the best of times...We now have a new little addition to our family. Her name is peeps. She follows Madison everywhere! She even sleeps in her Barbie house from time to time.

So many projects in my head... So many berries to pick....oh the joys of summer!
Had to laugh at the mess in Mad's room :) Our middle daughter, on the days she didn't clean her room she had to keep the door closed. Yeah, we didn't know what her room liked until she moved out :) Now? She's an immaculate house keeper. There's hope yet, girl :)
ReplyDeleteOh that is so funny I walked into my daughters room to put her washing away and just let out a big sigh as I pretty much saw the same vision as you.
ReplyDeleteShe wants her room painted and made a little more grown up. What do you do? Close the door and run is what I say and hope that nothing chases you out the door. God love the little people where would we be without them.
We are all normal and so is most of the mess.
My jaw dropped, litetally, when I saw Madison's room! Too funny! We spent yesterday cleaning little girl rooms so we could get summer off to the right start.
ReplyDeleteOh how I remember having a room like that when I was a little girl!
ReplyDeleteYay for summer! Though I have no vacation time until my wedding in September and have to work all day, I can't wait for summer evenings and weekends!
I think everyone has a room like that in their house. That's how my room looked when I was little. I'm much better now; there's hope. :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Good Morning Miz Susie,
ReplyDeleteIt appears little girls are just as messy as little boys *smiles* Or even big boys for that matter *sigh* cause my old enough to know better son's room is a trainwreck. Yup we just keep that door closed! *smiles*
I think it is so funny to see the posts with "real life" pictures. Just makes me love you even more Susie! What will you do with the blackberries? Cobbler maybe? Blackberry cobbler is my very favorite. It is my summer dessert of choice, kind of like pumpkin cheesecake in the fall.
ReplyDeleteMy youngest son's room looks liek that--just no Barbie's and babies!! Love Peeps! Too cute!! I am still counting down the last 2--2--weeks of school!!!We have until next Thursday!!! Mercy me!!! Then, off to the beach for a week of R&R. I can't wait! I have a great recipe for cobbler if you want it. Just let me know.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Susan
College boy came home two weeks ago and evrything is still sitting in the same spot! Ick. It's worth it to have him home though.
ReplyDeleteJust close the door and walk away. What else can you do? Go pick berries. :)
ha.
ReplyDeletelove a good messy room....
xo
Well if you think that's bad you should see my 20-year-old son's room...I worked so hard last year, pulled up carpeting, painted hardwood floors, bought new furniture at IKEA, painted whole room, decorated it and NOW it is the pit of doom!! Oh well, I can always close the door. And yes I love summertime...it just goes too fast.
ReplyDeleteLeAnn:)
I've been wanting summer to be here for the past 2 months! We are almost finished with school (last week), and The Bob went out the door this morning giving me my marching orders, "The windows need to be cleaned, the flower beds need work, there's lots of productive things to be done..." I'm thinking that's not so much what I had in mind for summer! I was rather thinking pool, book, sleeping late. We have blueberries, but they are looking like they have another month before they're ready.
ReplyDeleteVery cute! Oh how I relate to those photos of "the worst of times". I spent the better part of the morning trying to make my house look like it had not just been hit by a tornado, and my kiddos aren't even out of school yet, they just had a three day weekend. Ha!
ReplyDeleteOh good - we're not the only ones with a room like that! haha My 16 yr old daughter's room needs a "condemned by the dept. of housecleaning" sign.
ReplyDeleteI'm ready for summer too! Bring on the projects! :)
Kayla's room always looks the same...drives me crazy!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little duckling!
Hi Susie! Oh, how funny seeing Madison's room a mess. Brought back so many memories for me of my kids! 'Clean up your room now!' It's clean! 'No, it isn't!'
ReplyDeleteAre you saying you hav a little ducky now!? How sweet.
Take care and be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Thanks for proving that you are a real person with a real family. :)
ReplyDeleteAny chance you'd share where you got that rug?? (the one in the picture with your toes and the sleeping dollies) =)
ReplyDeleteSure! I bought the rug at overstock.com for a song and a happydance....no shipping! Smiles~
ReplyDeleteHow funny! Lexi's room seems to get in that condition quite regularly!
ReplyDeleteLeah Kate has a walk in closet that I was tempted to do a post on last week. Her idea of cleaning her room is THROWING everything in there. It's a total disaster.
ReplyDeleteLove the baby duck!
Blessings,
Mandy
We must have the same designer! A very similiar room in our house. Your post made me smile!
ReplyDeleteJulia
Hmmm, I thought it was only boys' rooms that got messy! : )
ReplyDeleteThat baby is sooooooo sweet! Does she really follow Maddy around? How sweet!
Hope you had a good weekend!
Had to laugh. That looks like most of my downstairs right now, except ours is the Fisher Price Loving Family house, and not Barbie. Yet. ;)
ReplyDeletePeeps is too cute Susie! ;)
ReplyDeleteI just adore your fun and inspiring blog!
Looking forward to the summer. In a funny way, I miss those messes. Sometimes my house is just too quiet. Little peeps is cute, and I bet Madison loves her. Jackie
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling! Nothing can compare to summer time messes, except Christmas Day!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy it!
oh no!!! what a mess!!! i guess you just have to embrace it...because the summer has only begun!!!
ReplyDeletei love the new feathered pal! so sweet!!!
Well it is ok, it is 1027 and he said he is back at your house. I really can't wait for us to get started on that little project. Britt does not think we will really do it. Well we'll show her!!
ReplyDeleteI have some ideas I want to throw your way, will call ya on my lunch break
Love Peeps, he or she is adorable! I could stick it in my pocket and bring it home. Too cute!
ReplyDeleteVenture back about 30 years, and that room could be mine!:) Go Madison!:)
ReplyDeleteYou have so many wonderful ideas! Love them! I just love visiting your blog! Because I love your blog, I want to pass along an award that was given to me. Feel free to accept it or not. : ) My blog has more details about the award.
ReplyDeleteThat looks much like my daughters room!
ReplyDeleteThat is why I am sooooo glad to be able to shut my daughter's room and keep on walking! By the way....LOVED that her doll was laying down a mess next to a wheel chair. ha!!! so close, yet so far away!
