Fancy is not my middle name...

I wish I could say that I wear pj's and slippers like this everyday. This is what I wore on PJ night while at Blissdom. This is what I wore trying to be all cute in front of hundreds of people that didn't really know me.

Well I think y'all know me a little better than that. My favorite pj's this morning gave way to a rip....
They are not just any pj's..I wear them all the time. I mean I wait for them to come out of the dryer...love em!

I could have...should have...just put them to rest BUT I couldn't. I just gave them a little tlc by cutting off the rip..

and threw that part away...

Awwww my sweet pj's. It's like falling in love with them all over again!

  4. I am the same way! I love my old, ragged, super soft and super comfy Hollister pants...They were bought on clearance a while back and I wear them so much...Zack and the girls are sick of seeing them..They are green and so I get called everything from the hulk to swamp thing when wearing them..(they aren't a pretty color green)

  7. A good pj is hard to find. It is better to have loved and lost than not have loved at all.

    Thanks for sharing.

  12. When you find the perfect ones, don't you think we should have the sense to go back and buy forty more so that they have back ups for when life happens? Why do I never do that????
so cute, Susie who's not a floosie......

what is blissdom? some secret blog cult?

  14. Hey Kasey and anyone else out there wondering.... Blissdom is a get together for bloggers and they have guest speakers where you learn how to make money and new friends on your blog. It's kinda neat because I was able to meet a ton of wonerful women. As far as the money making it was not for me. I like to make my friends the old fashion way too....earn my friendship. I did have fun but I dont think it was for me. I had a stomach ache for days before and after just trying to be perfect. Soooo not me! I think the next time I want to meet some friends I will do a shout out and we can all meet up somewhere....and be real...and not worry about having fancy pj's...hehe. But that's just me~

  24. I'm bad about wearing my pj pants to paint in - shame on me!

I do have my good "going out" pjs for when we travel. Thank heavens I had them on one trip - the hotel fire alarm went off at 2 am and we were evacuated. Nothing like standing on the street in Buckhead in your jammies!

  25. I know! I had couple of nightgowns that I LOVED so much...they were from Land's End and they were soooooo soft. Then they each got a little rip in the seam around the neck or armhole...and it was down hill from there. : )

Sound Man finally bought me new ones that I love almost as much, but I still have my ratty ones! : )

  31. Susie,
I'm so glad you said that about Blissdom. Because since I'm back in the blogging world, I've already thought several times about going back. I had no idea one of the things it was about was making money from your blog. But, that greatly explains things I've seen chaning in the blogging world...particularly after getting back from Blissdom. Anywho, now I'm still in limbo. You know Heathahlee will probably go, and we had the BEST time. I don't want to miss my Heathahlee time. You're right, we should get together with a shout out :)

Oh, and I understand your PJ love :)

Aaaaaand to anyone who reads this who went to Blissdom, I AM NOT bashing Blissdom. Nope. No bashing here. Just like Susie, probably just not for me.

  32. You have your cut-off pj's and I have my hemless, tattered bathrobe that drags on the stairs and causes me to trip every morning! And to
think all that I would have to do to remedy this would be to pull out the sewing machine and run a hemstitch- NOT! Sue

  33. Oh, I love things like that. Waiting for the dryer to finish up a favorite pair of pj pants. Soft and warm.

  34. My pj's are heading to the same place. I have worn them for so long that the material is so worn out. I know it's only a matter of time.

  35. I've got a pair that I just love too. Oh man, I've had them for nine years now. Nothing beats those babies.

    ReplyDelete
  36. LOL I had to laugh at your post! I have a pair too, and they're not going to stay on my body much longer! - the fabric around the elastic waste is all wearing out - there's about 3 inches of elastic exposed! LOL I was looking at them the other day trying to figure out how I could rescue them............

  38. I had a pair of pj pants that I LOVED. They started getting holes in the seams and the waistband, but I just couldn't give them up. I finally tossed them, but haven't been able to find a pair that are even close to comparable ever since. Sad!
