Just in case you ever wondered if they really work...they do!

While tending my flowers the other day I broke a piece off of one of my plants.

I was extra saddened because it had a tiny bud on the end. I have been keeping a watchful eye on it and it is really doing great. Just one more thing I can add to my list of things you can put into a cloche. The thing it was intended to hold. A tender plant in need.

I must tell you I'm kind of enjoying having the tiny sprig of life so close in sight. I'm going to miss it when its time to transplant it outside.

I also wanted to share with you this neat little ladder my Dad gave me the other day.

It's a small ladder made for a chicken coup. The chickens and roosters use this to climb up to their nesting box and roost.

I fell in love with it so my Dad insisted I take it home. That I did and have it leaning up against the side of my home.

.....just in case you are thinking about getting yourself a lab puppy....think...then think some more...smile~
I have yet to put a plant under a cloche, but am very curious about it!
ReplyDeleteLabs....I don't want to hear anything negative! LOL We are about to inherit my dear BIL's 5-year-old untrained yellow lab.
I still have to get me a cloche! Can you believe I still do not own one?!
ReplyDeleteOOooh, I love dirt!!
ReplyDeleteNow get some sweetpeas and plant them around the ladder.
Can't wait for the queen anne's lace to open up here.. still months to go.
No baby yet..
I have to get a cloche!
ReplyDeleteThat ladder is to die for! I can see a few ideas for it around my house. : )
As the mama of 4 dogs, I've seen that trick before!
Looks like you're enjoying the great weather! Wonderful you were able to save the plant and use the dome for what it was intended!!! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteI have a small plant under one of my cloche's. My kitten would NOT leave it alone!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that small little ladder. What are you going to grow climbing it?
Guess what??? Poodle pups do the SAME thing to bags of dirt!!!!!!
Will ya root me one when ya finish yours??? Dad did not give me a little ladder LOL..Now ya need his chickens. Thanks for dinner the other night, it was great LOVE YA have a great day, will call ya after work. MISS
ReplyDeleteOh honey, NO lab puppies for me. We have the sweetest lab on the planet but she came to us middle aged. She was passed the digging stage. No bad habits.
ReplyDeleteNow I love your ladder. I'm envisioning morning glories or something growing on it. I hope your hydrangea works!
Love that little ladder & labs are so sweet - you can't stay mad long.
ReplyDeleteOurs once shredded a whole new jumbo size pack of tp - it was everywhere but he was so cute caught in the act.
Darlene - I don't own one either - yet!
ReplyDeleteSusie - love the ladder. It would look great with a climbing plant growing on it. Maybe some ivy?
Thankfully little Gizmo isn't a digger. That would take time away from him chasing squirrels and trying to catch the cardinals at the bird feeder.
I love my lab puppy to death, but she is TROUBLE!
ReplyDeleteOur yellow lab is going to have puppies in three weeks...can't wait. :)
ReplyDeleteSweet little cloche...and what a cute ladder!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute ladder - I would love it inside with quilts hanging over it. I also love your cloche.
ReplyDeleteLove the hydrangea in the cloche. I just planted 2 in my own yard. They are my favorite flower, and I just love them. Also LOVE LOVE LOVE the ladder your dad gave you. It looks great there. I have so much more to do in my yard when I get back from vacation. By the way, a 2 year old does about the same thing as a lab puppy to my top soil, sigh.
ReplyDeleteI am in. love. with that ladder. It's exactly what I could use for my bathroom redo. Hope the flower blooms for you!
ReplyDeleteWe had a lab once, and he outgrew us. We had to let him go to the country where he had lot of space to run. Love the cloche and the beautiful bloom. Jackie
ReplyDeleteI have a ladder just like yours that I've had years . . . always wondered what it's life was like before joining our family. Love thinking that chickens used it to scoot around their coop!
ReplyDeleteLove that ladder! And I had to GOL (giggle out loud) about the lab puppy comment...you could also put in there Golden Retriever puppy!
ReplyDeleteI want a cloche too!! I'm always late getting in on the "in" thing,, oh well. We have a yellow lab that is almost 9 years old,, the absolute BEST dog ever..looks just Marley from the movie. we had or tried to have a chocolate and black lab in previous years and they were AWFUL! Labs make really great pets. Dont give up!
ReplyDeleteWe were just chasing our lab around the neighborhood yesterday....ahhh the sweet things that come with having a 90lb.dog baby. Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteI love the ladder!
ReplyDeleteWhen my parents first got their current dog Maggie-Mae she ate 1/2 a bag of potting soil after dragging the 25lb bag (her being about 20lbs herself) around the entire house! So the picture made me laugh!
Gorgeous worn ladder....love it!
ReplyDeleteLabs...lol they are cute but boy do they like to dig!!
Cute ladder. I would love to have one...with the chickens and coop. Oh well, hubby is deathly allergic to chickens, so that is never going to happen. I'm still working on him to let me have goats when we buy a house. :)
ReplyDeletelove that little ladder!
ReplyDeleteYour posts always make me smile!
I thought I might be one that was knocking you off since it happened to my own computer. Plus, one day I saw my button and the next I didn't. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's the church video that I have on there, and unless the computer is the latest model, it freezes. Oh well...I love having the worship on there, and was told that it only restricts a few. I have swapped it out so maybe that's why it loaded now. Now I can't even use my main computer for my blog...I've hijacked my hubby's. :)
At least it's not a virus. :)I've put every spyware and anti virus thing on mine to avoid it.
oh, you know how i love cloche's. i have about 15 of them all over mi casa

...i love having plants indoors...especially the bathroom. my airplane plant has grown so much from the humidity and filtered light that i think it might take over the place. we have a chicken coup and yep, we have a ladder and yep, the chickens pop right up that thing to go into the roosting nest. xo, mickey
ReplyDeleteLOL! I have two Lab "puppies", I say puppies b/c they are 18 mos & still all puppy. Chew, chew, chew. Even my house is not safe, yes the house itself, not just the stuff in it. Love them to death & they love back unconditionally though. :)
ReplyDeleteI need to try that too! :) Imagine using something for it's intended purpose. :) That little ladder is so cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little ladder.
ReplyDeleteLabs...We got one....She's not a puppy anymore, thank goodness. It was rough with everything she got into, tearing up and ripping it to shreds...
your blog layout is so clean and pretty! :)
ReplyDeleteAs the owner of a Goldendoodle puppy I feel your pain - I really, really do - good thing they are so darn cute!

First and foremost, let’s get one thing straight: Herve Leger Dresses“There’s an incorrect assumption about Herve that it’s only for evening,”Herve Leger sale Lubov told me up on the 18th floor of her Oktoberfest Costumes Times Square showroom and headquarters. “It can be worn anytime! People also assume that it should fit really tight, but personally I wear it one size bigger because I like the comfort of it while still getting the silhouette.”Herve Leger Replica These are the dresses that are coming into our stores and online now, and these are the dresses that are going to show up come Saturday, because as we pointed out in our runway report last season, an Herve Leger show is full of Herve Leger dresses.
