  1. I had mine taken out a few years ago. Take the pain pills - there's no prize for not taking them. Mashed potatoes and milkshakes will get you through! I'll be thinking good thoughts for you.

  7. I am so sorry! I need to get all 4 of mine out. I keep putting it off. First, I was pregnant. Then I was nursing. Then I was pregnant. Then I was grieving. Now I'm trying to get pregnant, but really have no excuse in between cycles.

But I just had one of *those* moments, when I read Aubrey's comment about losing the baby fat on her face!!! OH.MY.GOSH. I never thought of that, and now I WANT to have the surgery!!! I have the chubbiest, baby fat cheeks ever. Bring it on, dentist, bring it on! :)

Dude, Aubrey is gorgeous, by the way!!

    You're gonna do great!

  18. You'll be fine, Susie. They give you the happy gas and you'll be oblivious! : ) Now, as for afterwards, I don't recommend eating macaroni...you might get some caught in an open socket and panic that you'll have food caught in there forever...not that I know about anything like that.

I'll be praying for you, though!

  23. I'll say a prayer for ya!

I had all 4 of mine removed a few years ago. They were all impacted so I had to be put to sleep for the procedure. Just do what they tell you and you'll do great!

  35. wow Susie. I know how you feel. I had mine done several years back and the finished product was me looking exactly like that poor little animal in your picture. I looked like that for 3 days because mine had to be cut out! Feel better soon.

  38. Good Morning Miz Susie,
I'm very afraid of anything requiring a visit to the dentist and you're definitely in my prayers! I still haven't had my bad tooth removed *smiles* When they explained there would be a hole and I couldn't sneeze for awhile well let's just say that freaked me out real good! You're much braver than me! Hang in there Girlfriend!

  39. Ask for medicine. Lots and lots of medicine.
Rest, Relax, Sleep. It will be fine. I will be praying for you.

  41. It will be fine. I had all my wisdom teeth +1 pulled at 19 and I was just fine, no swelling at all. Think positive! I can't vouch for the meds though because I only took one and it made me see pink elephants so I just dealt with the pain.

  42. I had mine surgically removed when we were only married 3 months (the teeth were impacted). Ouch! But I have to admit coming off the anesthesia was a little bit fun -- my sister, mom and husband wrote down all the funny things I said and did. :)

I found that jello, oatmeal, and yogurt were my allies.

Best of luck to you as you recover!

  43. I had mine done in the fall and it was just fine. The anticipation of it was worse. I hope it all went well and you are resting up.

  45. I hope you feel better soon. I was told not to drink from a straw after I had mine removed. They said it would cause a dry socket which is very painful. I know you think it couldn't get any worse!!!!! I doesn't take long to get to feeling like your old self again!

    Hugs,
    Jenny
