hi, im susies daurghter maddy
I had a good day and thank you for all the comments made.
I didn't go through that much stuff but friend issues.
Again thanks for the prayres and thouts!
love maddy
Susie here... I really just don't know how to thank y'all enough. Madison and I read each and every comment. We were both brought to tears by each and everyone of you. Thank you for sharing your stories with us. It did help and showed Madison that she is not alone. She came home from school yesterday all smiles. Prayers work! They all played together at recess! That's a big accomplishment for her because she was spending everyday in the library from fear of the playground. Thank you from the bottom of my heart~ ps.. As hard as I tried to comment all of you back, I ran out of time. Please know that I appreciate each and everyone of y'all~

So happy to read that things are looking up for sweet Maddy! What a doll! I'll be keeping everyone in my prayers today as well!
ReplyDeleteOn a side note, Susie can I tell you how much I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my signs from you!!!!!!!! They make me smile every single day! Our house is being painted, but once it is done, and everything is back in place, I will post the photos of your awesome work! :-) LOVE it, and love you!
Oh Miss Susie - I am so thrilled to know that she has a wonderful day. It's amazing how resilient our precious blessings are -especially when they have special mommas to help them through it all. :)
ReplyDeleteYay for Maddie! I hope she has another great day today, and we'll all keep her in our prayers.
ReplyDeleteYou can't keep a good girl down! I would never have thought to share our messages. You are a really great Mom! I hope things keep looking up for sweet thing!
ReplyDeleteThat's great. She's a real sweetheart. I got home too late last night to comment about everything but I'm so glad it's working out.
ReplyDeleteY'all have a great Friday.
Glad to hear Maddy had a good day. I'm sure Mom did as well. I hope today is an even better day.
ReplyDeleteKris
What a huge blessing for Maddy!! I have a 10 yo Maddy myself!! She's the one I homeschool.
ReplyDeleteGod is just so amazingly good isn't He?? I would never have imagined the loving community I've found in blogland!!
May you and your family have a glorious weekend! I'll continue to pray about this for the weeks ahead!
Joyful blessings,
Becky
Thank you for updating us. I'm so very, very glad and happy for y'all.
ReplyDeleteahhhh...she's so sweet. and you know, prayer DOES work. and you what else does, good role modeling! teaching her to reach out for prayer is HUGE! good work on that girl momma!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that she had a good day yesterday! I prayed for her and those "friends" this morning in my QT. I pray that she will continue to know that the Holy Spirit is with her and will be there to hold her hand when she is afraid and not with her adoring family. Keep us posted, and please give Maddy a hug from me today!
ReplyDeleteLove ya,
Susan
I just knew it would work out...have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad she had a good day!
ReplyDeleteAwww that is great!!! Maddy I am so happy for you. Keep going and stay strong. :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't get to comment yesterday, but I read the post and I thought you both handled things beautifully.
ReplyDeleteMaddy, you're a beautiful, bright little girl and you have an amazing mom!
Mandy
YAY Maddy....it does sound almost exactly what Lexi was going through at the beginning of her 3rd grade year. In 4th grade everything has been pretty smooth. I am so glad that all has been worked out. It is good to have MANY good friends instead of just one best friend.
ReplyDeleteWhen we're down, GOD is our best friend and HE comes thru for us, doesn't He????
ReplyDeleteLoved Maddy's post, and I'm so glad to hear the struggle has eased up for now.
Suzanne
Oh Maddy, I'm so glad to hear you had a good day!
ReplyDeleteSchool days don't last forever...the best part of Life begins AFTER you graduate. Some girls don't realize that and try to squeeze everything in too soon and end up with regrets. Susie, you are such a good mama...your children are so blessed to have you!
Warm regards,
Wendy
When you have time, please come read a story I posted about my husband and keep him in your prayers.
ReplyDeleteOh I'm thrilled to hear that Maddy had a wonderful day!!
ReplyDelete{hugs}

What an amazing daughter you have there Susie!!
ReplyDeleteI missed yesterday's post, but I just wanted to say that my little sister was bullied when she was even younger than your darling daughter. It was a horrible experience for her. And my mother stepped in to help. That made all the difference. Your family is your priority. Please make no apologies and know that you did the right thing in putting your baby girl first. Blessings!
ReplyDeletePraise our God Who cares about everything in our lives from the major to the minor! Always remember what He has done for you, Maddy! He's always faithful!! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI missed the last post, but I am so happy to hear things are improving for Maddy. For the life of me, I just do NOT understand the bully thing. What is wrong with someone when they think it is in any way acceptable to treat a person badly like that? It infuriates me. How inspiring that Maddy can rise above it all and see the bigger picture.
ReplyDeleteIsn't God so nice?!!
ReplyDeleteHi Suzie, I read your blog faithfully but have never commented. But this subject is so heartbreaking I wanted you to know we are praying. There is a fantastic book called "Odd Girl Out" by Rachel Simmons and well worth the read if you have girls (of any age). Your daughter is precious, she has your (family) support and God's strength to get through anything life will throw her way.
ReplyDeleteMaddy is such a sweet heart. Any kid should be happy to have her as a friend. I'm glad she had a much better day.
ReplyDeleteGlad she had a good day!! What a sweet girl.
ReplyDeleteThat is so awesome. I am happy to hear she had a great day, I will pray that they continue!
ReplyDeleteYou can let her know that she just brought me to tears just now, too! : )
ReplyDeleteI'm SO glad she had a good day! So, so glad! When a child is hurting it's just so painful to watch, especially when you as a parent can't "fix" it. (But it looks like you did by standing in the gap for her!)
So sorry to hear about the troubles your dear daughter is having at school. So glad to hear she had a good day.
ReplyDeleteYour previous post was fantastic. They are the ones who need you most. We'll all still be around.
Ruth
Being a kid is such hard work these days! Glad to hear things are working out better.
ReplyDeletei didn't get a chance to catch up with your blog until today. it is so hard to be a kid in this world today. i teach kindergarten i can already see it starting. they are worried about name brands, who has seen what movies, music that is way to old for them, and they are much more aggressive than i remember kids being when i was young. i feel so for your daughter. i was the victim of school bullies when i was young. it took me until high school to learn that they are the problem and i'm ok with just being me. so glad that your daughter has such a wonderful, close family to depend on. i did too, and that helps so much. i will lift her up in my prayers. may you all have a relaxing and blessed weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh, Susie, I apologize - I've been so busy I haven't been by in a couple of days. I was trying to catch up tonight and have just read about little Maddy! Oh, I'm so terribly sorry! Kids can be so mean and it just upsets me so. I'm so glad she's had a better day today.
ReplyDeleteYou, Dear One, are exactly right - family has to come first! As much as I love Blogland and getting up my posts, sometimes I just have to stop and take care of others around me. Sometimes, even just myself!
I know you're a great Mother and God does too and Praise Him - He does answer prayers. I'll keep y'all in mine!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :0
I'm so happy to hear that today was better! I have always told my children to behave in a way that they know is right and treat others the way that they want to be treated. People will still be mean, but you have to be proud of who you are.
ReplyDeleteYou're obviously a wonderful momma and Maddy is truly a beautiful girl and I can tell she has a good heart. Stay sweet and never let the uglies get you down.
My stunningly pretty, and very sweet soft hearted daughter was teased mercilessly in school for a few years. She became a woman of compassion and grace.
ReplyDeleteHang in there gals. God sees those tears and hears your prayers and wastes nothing.
I drop by your blog often to read your cute little posts. Your last one brought tears to my eyes. I am a teacher and it just breaks my heart to see children go through that! I will be praying for her (and you...and those that are treating your daughter that way) and I know that God will make all things better! Maddy is in God's hands and there is no safer and more secure place. God bless! :)
ReplyDeleteMaddy is beautiful. I love her "thank you"~so sweet. She is so blessed to have you as a Mama! So glad for a good day!
ReplyDeleteIt was so sad to read what your little one was dealing with, I'm glad things have turned around for her. Puts things into perspective for certain.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if I've commented before, but I love your blog and read it often.
Have a lovely weekend with your family!
hi...i blog stalk you and never comment but i had to today. i have a mady too that is 17 and we have dealt and deal with these same issues. way to go maddy for praying for those girls! that is very sweet of you to do. you are a doll!!
ReplyDeleteway to go mom for teaching her the best way to deal with bullies.:D
Ahhhhh...wonderful post!! So glad that things are looking up! Lunch in the library can't be much fun. :( I will be praying that this will be the END to the bullying!!
ReplyDeleteSusie, I received my signs yesterday afternoon!! :D They are so awesome!! Can't wait to put them up! I will have to decide on just the right spot. After I hang them, I will take pics and then post them to my blog! Thank you sooo much. You are so talented!! God bless.
I am new here! What a great blog :)
ReplyDeleteHey Susie! I took a break from the blog world and just stopped by to get caught up! You've been busy:) Just wanted you to know we recently have had some third grade issues as well. It's absolutely heart breaking when your child is hurt. I feel your pain and hope things are definitely looking up for Maddy. Things are better here as well-thank goodness:)
ReplyDeleteSusie, I am so happy and deeply relieved to hear that Miss Maddy had a great day at school again!
ReplyDeleteYea! Big smiles and high fives from my house to yours!!!
Many hugs, Les
Happy to see Maddy is doing better :)
ReplyDeleteLove what you are doing with her room... the stencil is perfect
