So if you want to peek...

Madison decided on a very rich chocolate brown. My girl has such good taste! You should have seen her room while I was painting. It started off a mint green and as I was painting the brown I felt like I was in one big Andies mint, hehe

Awwww sweet husband. Don't let him fool ya though. I did all of the painting myself...thankyouverymuch~

Madison was so glad to see the pastel colors on her ceiling fan come down.

She is just so excited!

I love how the white just pops now with the dark brown.

This is only day one and the room is painted. The walls are still wet in this picture,I couldn't wait. Today and Tuesday the kids will be home due to living in Louisiana. Darn that Mardi Gras. Oh well..it just gives her a couple of days to clean out all of her toys that are now visiting the living room.I cant wait to show y'all the pillow she picked out. It was her inspiration for the entire room

The color of the room is beautiful! It's hard to see them grow up but something we all have to do! Enjoyed the pictures, can't wait for more!

Oh I love that color! I need to be more brave in my color choices like Maddie.
Beautiful! You tell her that we are very proud of her bold taste. I wanted to go brownish in my kitchen and didn't have the nerve. It will be very sophisticated. :)
Love the color...isn't it great when you find that one thing that inspires a whole room? Can't wait to see it finished! She is just too cute!
Beautiful and sophisticated - can't wait to see the pillows.
I was so worried about going so dark and so I chickened out. How will you keep her room from being too dark? Godd lighting i guess.
I love the Chocolate. So warm and yummy!
I love the color...and I love Andes mints too! I can't wait to see the finished room1
LOVE the chocolate walls...she did GOOD!! I can't wait to see how the rest of Madison's room turns out. ♥

She does have good taste! And what a cutie! I can't wait to see everything!
I can't wait to see the rest of the room. Such a sophisticated color choice for her age...
Love that color! We are in the midst of trying to figure out what to paint Kayla's room. I am at a loss and so is she. She wants one color then another...Who knows what it will end up being.
Morning, Susie! OH, the walls look gorgeous! Madison has good taste and is the most beautiful little girl! She's growing up, sniff sniff! I know how it feels! But you're a tough cookie, Dear Susieness! ;)
Can't wait to see the rest of the room.
Be a sweetie,

Can't wait to see the rest of the room! It is going to look great!
What a sweet girl with great taste! I can't wait to see what the two of you have been cooking up.
Beautiful color, indeed! I have no doubt that you will make it gorgeous! Can't wait to see pics.
Love the color!
Can't wait to see it finished now!
Oh how neat! Her own 'big gal' makeover to her room. LOVE the color! Can't wait to see the rest.
She sure is cutie! What colors will she be using with the brown? Can't wait to see her new room!
Oh I just thought about something...if you want a custom rug in her room to match her new colors, let me know. We just got in a brown carpet that we could use to make her a custom rug...maybe with her initial in the center. Did you see the rug we did for Rhoda??
ah, your baby! It looks good and I'm sure there will be girly touches when all is finished!
Great color..I guess your beautiful daughter has her mothers taste!
She is so pretty, Susie. Takes after her Momma. : )
I can't wait to see what y'all do with her room!
Love the brown - but I can so understand where it's hard to let them give up their "younger" room. I am already trying to put off Graham from this and he is only 6! Why do you have to stay home? I guess I don't get the whole MG thing - isn't it only really in NewO? I thought ti was odd to see MG party things in our Wal-Mart this morning. Who celebrates this out west? (I guess I am clueless on this topic!)
I'm loving her new room. My 8 yr. old will love it too - especially if it's paired with pink. They are her favorite colors.
Look forward to seeing what you are going to do.
They do grow up fast don't they.
that is BEAUTIFUL! her taste has gotta be in her genes:)
This room looks great...even though you didn't want to make it over (which is understandable). I love the wall color against the white doors...very nice.
Again, great job.

What a gorgeous brown!! Madison has great taste! :o)
We are out for two days, due to living in MS! :o)
Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne
For a minute I thought you were in my daughters room. They have that same color going on.
Susie, love the color of her room. She made a great choice. I think it will make me sad too when I have to redo my babies rooms in their choices. A sign they're growing up. Your daughter is a beautiful girl by the way.
I can't wait to see your beautiful daughter's beautiful finished room.
I love the color your daughter chose. I am thinking of doing a chocolate in my living room. What a cute girl!
Ugh. I had to delete my comment because I accidently posted it before I was finished with it. ANYWAY, thank you for leaving me some comment love on my blog return. It was very kind :) I also have to say that you and your sister were two of the absolute nicest and sweetest people that Heathahlee and I met in Nashville. And yes, next time I'm staying up late with y'all!!
And to echo others, your daughter really is beautiful.
Will you please tell me the brand and exact color that is??? I would LOVE to use that in my son's room!!! GREAT color!
AND she is gorgeous!!!
Looks fabulous!
I've added you to my blogroll favorites list.
You have a beautiful daughter. I love the chocolate brown color she picked for the walls. Can't wait to see the rest.

Wow, Susie...that really is a grown up color! We just got a great deal on a rug tonight that would look great with that color...hee hee! I hope that everyone is feeling okay at your house! Big hugs, friend. God bless.
LOVE the chocolate brown. My living room is a deep chocolate brown and I love it. Everyone thought I was CRAZY for painting it this color, but as soon as they saw the finished product, they all loved it too. Can't wait to see those cute inspiration pillows!
p.s. Your baby is beautiful!
The chocolate brown looks great in the room! Can't wait to see the rest!
