Giving Thanks~

Our family spent Thanksgiving in the country this year. My sister has a camp and this is what we saw on our way there~

I think God was showing me the beauty of his works. Im am so thankful!

Last night we had some of these..

around the fire and then..... my batteries died. No pictures just memories. Hope all of you have made some great Thanksgiving memories too~

Deck the halls...and lights!

So you want to decorate your light. I started with a bit of garland.

I just worked it in and out until it looked good and even and then gave it a good fluffin'

started with some dollar tree snowflakes..

and a few more

I found this beautiful ribbon at the Dollar Tree too!It looks white here but it is such a pretty blue~

more snowflakes...

Icicles that my Mom and I made years ago.

It's starting to come together.

Needs more snowflakes!

Im loving this blue so much I want to paint, ugh! Miss Pat at the backporch has the dining room I dream about. Hmmmmm.

All That Glitters...

Love those glitter words but Im having trouble finding them. I did find Believe but it was $$. So Im making my own. I found an image on the net so I copied one.

Found some foam board...

Traced...

I used this to cut it out...

Cut it out...

I also made that Believe I saw....

Some great glitter~I took some glue and spread it across the top of the word. Added some glitter and...

Let them dry...

Attached a satin ribbon and there you go!

Believe in large silver glitter

The foam board is the size of a poster board so you can make plenty... and I did!

The Broadmore Show...

I had to laugh this morning because if I didnt.. I would for sure need tissue.
Day started as follows...
Get Maddy up and dressed for school ( not an easy task)
Get to school to find that it's picture day with Santa
Problem is.. Maddy is in her uniform, ugh! No worries just rush home and change right.
Attempt to leave the school parking lot only to get an ugly look by one of the PTO Moms . Why? Not sure. Maybe because I didnt sign up to help out with picture day. I just smile and return home.
Rush getting Maddys picture day look on~
Run back to school.
Come home and see this~ No kidding, I didnt stage this. This poor dear has been moved all over the house. Do you think someone would turn her on...NOT!

I have been getting ready for another show. It's Friday and Saturday and Im almost ready.

I made a few new things. These picture frames..

I love this color green~

So my boxes are full again and ready to be loaded into the car. My precious husband is taking off a day from work to help me. This is one big show in Baton Rouge. If you live close enough I would love to see ya. Ahhhh...a cup of coco would be nice about now~

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas...

This is my matching garland. It stays with the natural theme of our tree.

More feathers and nest.

On top the mantel my nativity.

Here is what the tree looks like at night. Pictures really do no favors for Christmas trees.

You may be wondering why I decorate so early...
So many craft shows
Time spent with family on Thanksgiving
Helping out with the 3 grade Christmas play
More craft shows...
I have to squish it all in when I can.
I adore the Christmas Holidays so now you know. Hope you enjoy the early peek~

Christmas..Naturally Beautiful~

*** If you made it here by Kelly's Shower, welcome. I went to leave a comment and like a dodo I put my name in Mr. Linky. I adore Kelly and enjoy reading her post every morning. Many sweet blessings on her, Scott and precious baby Harper!

Yes...it's gone to the birds! Why do tress always look better at night? Guess you get the entire feel of the lights. I wanted to show you in the daylight so you could get a good look. I will show the nighttime look next...much better~

Lot's of these...

handful's of these..1.00 from Walmart

a mess of these...on sale at Hobby Lobby

Gold fern...from last year

All together now~

Some feathers

Fluer's galore..last year's stash

full?

Never enough...

Top it off with a large nest from spring decor and more feathers..

Natures best...

It's full now. Im working on a matching garland. Just waiting for my eggs to dry.

Wanna peek at somemore?

Come back... there's plenty~

Girls Night~

Last night the girls went out on the town... Kaylee..Missy..Britt

Had supper at a neat little deli...Kaylee and I

This is Britt..my niece. I adore her. She is so cute and tennie tiny. Oh and she can eat all of this and never gain a pound!

Britt and Missy aka...sista I adore her too. She keeps me grounded and is my normal when my world seems crazy. In short...she gets me~

This is her pizza. I ordered a cold wrap.... I ate her pizza.

Please dont hate...but yes we did go here. I saw a great idea I want to try soon. Will share

We each walked out without bags but books... check out hers (jewerly)..mine (pottery barn)..so us!

Kaylee...no books just bags. See why I have no bags!

She does too~ What a great night we had. We get to do it all over again Wednesday. Yes Indeed~ Just a note...Madison stayed at home but had a great night too. She recieved a box from American Girl...it was a girls night!

The unseen room....

The unseen room. Most of us have one. Mine holds way too much but I just cant seem to part with my past...and my mothers past...and my.. well you get the point. If you wanna looksee what hangs over our little heads stay with me.

After the scary climb up the rickety ladder you are hit with this...

dollhouse from my mothers past..metal? those were the good ole days. I have her family too

along with her dolly highchair. How did I end up with this stuff???

mixed in with the past lives our Christmas village. Not the fancy kind just good ole Walmart

Now because our photos are coming up in the wrong order, ugh! You get to see Maddy and our new ornaments. There is a story there..

back to the attic..old rocking horse!

Now that you have seen my attic I guess I can call you family. See all of these boxes next to Maddy. I got them for a song last year after Christmas. I never get to buy after Christams cause Im like the rest ..broke. But I couldnt pass these little darlings up. I think I may have paid a dollar a box. Oh yes I did! I bet you cant wait to see...

Take a look at this p.i.t.i.f.u.l..l..l tree. There is nothing full about it. It's tall and it's on hinges. You dont have to water it ( I have wood floors). I bought it at Hobby Lobby cheap.. the year we were building our house. So now you have seen my attic, cheap ornaments and sad tree... Oh just wait!

There Here!!!

There here... there here!!! My Christmas cards! Can I tell ya how much in love I am in. My best friend Misty took these pictures and made Christmas cards for me. Oh yes she did! My measley little photos of them just do it no justice. There is the front of the card.

and again the front. You cant see the pretty colors but its muted browns and my fav blue...ahhh

when you open the card you see Jesse to the left and Maddy on the right. You lift Maddys picture and the card opens to this...

Now you see Kaylee on the right. Love it!

This is the center of the card and its the sweetest blue ever...

when ya close the card and look on the back... here ya go. My pride and joy!
Thank you Misty for doing such a fab u lo so job! If you live in Texas I hope you go and check her out. She is on my sidebar....Let the Holidays begin~

A wish, A dream, A fake boobie?

I didnt have a new post for yall today till this morning. Here goes...
Wishes...dreams...we all em'. We always see what other people have and think we need the same. We long to be like the girl nextdoor or nextblog I should say. We all do it. We just long for stuff we dont have. This morning I woke up to Ken on my counter. He made me start thinking about myself. I feel so blessed! My prince did come.....

My dream house was built...a much smaller one but it holds my most precious things. My family. That got me to thinking it's ok to want and to dream but it also made me see just how much Im blessed with. I may never win a giveaway or take a trip around the world but Im happy to be me.
Now I bet your guessing where the boobie comes in....After feeling so blessed and putting a smile on my face I began to clean my counter off (sorry Ken but you gotta go). Under Maddy's bed is where she keeps all of her Barbie stuff. Her dreams..her wishes... Oh how I hope they all come true for her. She is 8....ladies. With that same smile on my face and now wondering what my sweet babies dreams and wishes are I return Ken... to find this!

Tucked way back between her Barbie dream house and her very extensive clothing and furniture line....**!!! G.A.S.P.**!! What in the world! It's her sisters bra and one fake boobie (not mine)....ugh! Why oh why cant they stay little and have sweet little barbie dreams.... Boobies! Is that what 8 year olds wish for now? Oh my goodness. Note to self...again! Be Happy with what the Lord gives you! He know's just what you need....when you need it~

Let's make one!

While at the craft show I did something I never do... Buy something! I couldnt resist so I bought three of these babies.

They are oil candles. Lovin' the fruit in them.

I figured I could make some of these for gifts and thought you would want to join me.

Here are a few pictures of some that they had for sale. I stuck with the cheaper ones like these two.

Im thinking I want to make mine with no candle. They use an oil that doesnt smell so whats the use I say. I just like the way they look.

Look at these... We could get some mason jars and age the lids...Are ya getting me?
You can buy the wicks at Walmart and the oil too. Maybe we could drill a hole in the mason jar lid for the wick... "wheels turning now"!

I would like to make a few with just the fruit and oil. You should see these in person. Beautiful! The oil just makes the fruit pop.

You know we are all going to be waiting for Hobby Lobby's fruit to go on sale now. Watch out Miss Kitty (blog friend) here we come. I will be working on mine and if you want to join I hope you share your finished masterpiece. Wonder what different looks we can all come up with. Im making my list....

12.00 Tuesday!

Were open!!! Yeah. It's Tuesday so I thought it would be fun to have a few tassels for 12.00. This brown and green sweetie is one of those 12.00 tassel. Isnt she cute. I named her Chocolate Mint, hehe. Now you know my favorite icecream too.

Here is another one for you for 12.00. I named her Little Miss Fluff. Her name gives away her secret.

Lime N' Pink...sweet!

Another Rooster... He is oh so plump!

I pulled this tassel fringe out of my stash. It looks so good on this wooden tassel.

Christmas is around the corner so I thought I would add a cute snow bunny.

Miss fancy Feathers... oh she is!
So here is just a preview of what I have in the shop. There is so much more so I hope you go and take a peek. I have so much to share with yall. Gifts that you can make... fruit in a jar candle....check back cause yall will want to make one of these babies!

Wanna looksee...

Oh what a week it has been! My oldest turned 18 and I feel a bit strange I must admit. It feels as though I was just sporting that age around and remembering my Mom knew nothing... Yikes! I have become my Mom. He is still my little boy, although we had a momment today and he gave me one of those hugs every mom dreams of. I had to stand on my tippie toes. He is still my baby....smile

This weekend my sister came over and we took some pictures of some of the sweets that shes makes.

Im not sure If I ever told yall but she sews like an angel. She makes things that only float around in my head. Things I want but never can make.

After much pleading she opened her own Etsy with the help of her sweet son. Awwww, smile

Just look at these adorable little vintage aprons. Our Grandmother use to make these for us. I still have all of mine and would love to display them in my kitchen .

Missy finds the sweetest fabric to use...I just love these cherries. Maddy is 8 and this apron looks so cute on. I think she wants one for Christmas... hint hint Aunt Missy.

It would tickle my heart if you would take a minute and pop in to visit her. She would love it! She has a real job and isnt able to post as often as she would like.

So if you wanna take a looksee at her sweets just go to my side bar and you will see her "Missy". At her blog you will find her Etsy... I know Im long winded but I have missed yall so much! I had a show this weekend and was so blown away.. Lets just say God answered some prayers! Our show was GREAT! Now I get to start all over again and make more. I have a few more shows ahead. Im still trying to get some things together for my Etsy... I think I will have a cool sale if I can get some made. Trust me ... the prices will be great! I know how times are getting tight around the holidays... Let's just call it $12.00 Tuesday! Hope to see ya there! Psss.... not sure what happened to the order of my pictures... went a bit wacky. The last one is a close up of the Christmas stocking.... Take care~
