Done, well almost done...

Rembember when...

Well here she is DONE! well almost that is. We have a few touch ups of paint yet to do but I couldnt wait to show yall

Have you ever wanted to see the inside of a house so bad you peeped in the window? Im guilty... It was a model home of course. So now you wont think too bad of me, smile

I still have to glue the little door knocker on. Her door knobs even have little keys. How cute is that... (they were not included)

Front porch I wish I had...

Now comes the fun part

As you can see Maddy has started moving in already.

This was not included but we just had to have it. Oh.. I mean Maddy needed it. It even lights up...(when we figure out how it works)

Hope yall enjoyed our "little tour". We will have to save up some pennies before we start on the indside but thats ok. the fun is worth the wait.

Building a daughters doll house...

I mentioned yesterday that I bought Maddy a dollhouse "KIT". Here is a look at the instructions....This is what they didnt say...

1. Your dear child thinks that you are wonder woman and can bulid this thing in a day

2.That you should have taken a class for this kinda stuff...you know in college..child development...Dollhouse construction..

3.That this "KIT" contains all the pieces "unfinished" all gazillion pieces that is..

Ahhh the sweet railing for the porch. Well we just wont go there. That was around one of her many breakdowns because Im not working fast enough..

4. Back to what the instructions dont tell you...This is a project for the strong at heart..

5. That I learned my daughter is as impatient as I am. She was moving furniture in while paint was still wet. Yes, I do that too...doesnt everyone, smile

Drake is even a bit impatient these days...
6. One lesson that this doohouse has taught me that the instrutions failed to mention..... Between many bouts of tears, paint stained hands, super glue wounds, fits of impatientness.. from both of us.... We have had many laughs, memories to save, and a real wooden doohouse to play with and pass down ....that is if I finish it one day. Hope yall com e back Monday and maybe Maddy and I can give you the "Tour". Have a great weekend! You know what I'll be doing..

I Cherish This Because...

This broken bowl belonged to my MawMaw.I have so many memories of waiting for her to finish mixing so I could lick the bowl. She Passed away 6 months after her 100th birthday. How could I throw that broken bowl away...

I enjoy collecting these. I like how they make my cabinet sing ....

These tea towels I found in Canton Ms. on the square by my booth. I cant wait to see her new ones for the holidays.. I did buy a few...

Im looking forward to this... Maddy and I bought it yesterday at Hobby Lobby. We started working on it last night

This is what Im not looking forward to... I never knew it had so many pieces. It's fun watching her get exicited about this house. Guess yall know what I'll be doing for days, maybe weeks, hehe....
before I leave to start my day I just wanted to say... Thank you, Susie H~

Love Thy Neighbor...

I am literally shaking right now as I type this post. I started blogging at the beginning of this year. I have met so many nice people along my little journey. I have shared many ideas and opened my heart and home to everyone out there. I have also shared my love for crafting and the story of why and when I started making my goodies
I know that I am not the original tassel maker. Tassels were on this earth before Jesus. They were used to show off a status symbol on robes worn and in homes. Now that was a very long time ago...

I did not create these designs... Oh how I wish I could say I did... these are made by a company called Far Hill Studio's. I saw these and was very inspired and wanted to make my own for alot less money.

I came across a friends comment from someone accusing another tassel maker, Im assuming me, of stealing her ideas. That was so very hurtful to me...

I would rather end my blog today then hurt a persons feelings. Tassels are not worth my friendships I have made along the way. I am a christian and will humbly act like one. I strive to be a proverbs 31 woman. Please know that this post is not written to be hurtful in any way.

I am trying to make my way as a stay at home mom on a budget just like so many of us but my feelings and my dignity are worth way more than a tassel sale. It is my prayer tonight that this will all work out and hurt feelings will end here. Thank you for taking your time to hear whats on my heart. Your friend, Susie H~

Be Anxious About Nothing....

I made this little plaque to remind myself ... Be anxious about nothing Phil 4:6
That means when I see Kaylee's room looking like this...

and her closet looking like this..Im to remember what the Lord said.. be anxious about NOTHING...

So I just take a deep breath and enjoy life through a childs eyes

I find myself so caught up in this crazy life I feel like Im spinnin' sometimes
So Im reminded that it's gonna be ok and I dont have to panic like when I got up early this morning to no electricity. I have so much to be thankful for and to smile about. Now I just have to keep reading that plaque over and over...be anxious about nothing... Have a sweet one today my friends Susie H~

A Dollar Saved But A Foot Short...

Have you ever wanted a certain look but couldnt find it in your budget?... Thats me wanting these...
I love Ballard but the price is just a bit much for me

I had to hit Walmarts curtain clearance instead

I found these babies but they were about a foot too short

So I got me some of this..

And did a little of this..

Please dont look too close

I just pinned this up here..

So this is what you get..

I know it's not Ballard or even close

but I stayed in my budget and for that Im proud!

My weakness...

***I wrote this at 2am MONDAY MORNING... Guess this is another thing I can add to my "gotta figure draft thing out" on my list. Have a sweet Monday ladies....
Some people love chocolate.... why cant I be normal? Why cant I crave something good to eat or drink or even wear for heaven's sake... Oh no, that would be just too easy. Instead I have to shop here..
Do you want to know my weakness? It's fringe and fluff stuff. One of my favorite stores is P.Tree Textiles in Baton Rouge. I try to stay out of there as much as possible but sometimes I just have to give in to my temptation. I met the sweetest lady there.. I would have taken a picture of her but I would like to return and shop without her thinking I was a total freak. You know what Im talking about ladies.. Do yall have a hard time going anywhere without your camera now? Like who really wants to see what groceries I bought..

I just cant help myself.. I have to show all of you what my indulgence is...

You may be thinking what in the world...

Who could resist this stuff. Just look at her sweet little pom pom self....

And look at this yummy brown sweetness... who needs chocolate when they can have this...Now that I have a new friend at the store and all of this sweet stuff... my little head is justa spinnin'. I cant wait to get my hands on this and create some new tassels for all of you to see..

About Last Night...

I was going to have a really cool post today full of pictures of great stuff for around the house. But after doing this last night I changed my mind
Kaylee has been at LSU all week in State competion for 4-H.. This is me being proud of her
