Oh yes, spring is here and that means Canton Mississippi's spring craft show is near. I love this show! We attend both the fall and spring . The spring show is a bit smaller but small by no means. I have been in the shows for a little over five years now. I started out with copper now on to new things. For the last two years I have made my plaques and house blessings. My Mom gave me a book on tassels some time back. I have been playing around with them as well. They go well with my house blessings and are so much fun to make. I love ribbons and tassels and bows... So I try to use them in any form I can. I have wanted to post my little darlings on my site from time to time. I may just go for it. I have seen other blogs with their sweet treats for sale. As a matter of fact one of my favorite blogs that I visit daily makes tassels as well. Maybe thats why I love her so... We have everything in common. She even has the same Sherwin Williams colors in her home as I do. Now that's scary. I think I have met my twin. Our styles are so much alike. Im sure you know just what nest I fly so often to. Yep, The Nester. I would move nextdoor to her if I could. She's one of those gals that you just have to love. Her tassels are to die for. I would buy her out if I didnt have a house full of my own. If I can get off my lazy patootie and snap some pictures I will show you some of my sweet treats headed for the spring show. Maybe just maybe... I may get brave enough and post some of my little darlings for sale. Smiles, Susie

Madison has stuck with a name(I think). It's Lizzie. She has moved right into our hearts and Madison's bed. I hate to see when Madison goes back to school on Tuesday. I guess I will have to just kitty sit. I dont think I would mind a bit. She is just so darn cute. After reading FiFi's post on adopting It touched my heart. We knew we wanted another cat but just didnt know when. As you may remember we lost ours a while back. It was just so hard on all of us I wasnt ready . I guess we were just waiting on Miss Lizzie. When you walk into that animal shelter get ready. It's hard not to take them all home. Maw Maw even came over to greet her new Grandkitty. So if you have room in your house and heart...think adoption. Trust me , you wont be sorry.Susie
It's ok you are in the right place. I just thought it was time to let go of the brown. I have been a busy bee getting my house all in order and thought it would be nice for a change here. I kinda like the clean crisp look of the white. What do you think? I only wish it would be this easy to clean my house. Just think about it, with one tap on the key you could have your walls painted, clothes washed, grass cut.... Well, It's not working so I better do it myself. Oh to dream....Susie
You bet! I cant take the credit for this sweet idea cause it's in every magazine you see. But.... I can say that I did this little charm for next to nothing. Now you may say that the plates dont line up or they dont match. One may even be a little off. Thats the beauty of it! It doesnt have too.:) I will have to tell you ladies that I have change it about three more times. Just too lazy to take more picture. You get the idea. So if you like, help yourself and copy. Just a little hint. Try out a flea market or garage sale for you treasure's. As you know mine came from the Grand Good Will. Im in love... It makes me smile. Im now looking around for my next big project. I could pick from so many things in this house. Im on the hunt for an old bird cage. Guess I better hit some sales. Many blessings your way my friends, Susie

Today we adopted a new kitten for Madison. Not sure on her name as of yet but that and pictures will soon follow. I have a project that I want to do over my bed. So where do I shop for the needed items? You got it! The Good Will Store. Not only did I find my treasures for the project but I was able to drop off some of Madison's outgrown clothes. I also heard from a friend that I was very worried about. Time just seems to steal so much away. Im grateful that she found it in her heart to let me know that everthing was ok. My daughter is happy. My son caught a few fish and returned home safe. God is good! Hope you gals drop back in soon to check out my bedroon project. Take care my sweet friends, Susie

Picture's just do not give this sweet loveseat it's glory. I know the pictures make it look like a big candy apple. (I could eat one of those right about now), anyway..It's a rusty red color in person and doesnt look as bold as the pictures. I think I will have to add another post to fit all the pictures in. It started out with the sassy little curtains above my sink. They even have a little bling on them. That was my first taste of color. I then found these plaid cuties that I hung in my dinning room. I know you must be screaming country by now but stay with me. I then found the loveseat. Now my silk drapes that took me about three weeks to make had to go. I found some plain Jane curtains at Wal-Mart that were just begging me to bring them home and add a little zing. That's just what I did. What do you think? I also found two pillows the same (rusty) red at Wal-Mart for 5 sweet dollars. Cant get better than that! The checked pillows on the two sofas I made a few day's ago. The fabric came from Hobby Lobby. Now ladies dont look too close yet. I didnt iron the drapes or hem them yet. I just couldnt wait to give you a peek. If you do look close you may just catch a peek at one of my dust bunnies dancing on my floor. I love Ballard Designs... you may have heard of it. Thats where I got some of my ideas. Their curtains on page 61 cost $79.95 a panel. Mine just under $20.00. If you have not seen Ballard Designs trust me and give them a visit. You wont be sorry. Hope you enjoyed! Susie
I know it's late but I just couldnt wait. I have been doing a little of this and some of that in the house. Buying a new loveseat for our den just rocked my world. As you remember my den is boring beige along with our leather sofa. Boy did I jump in deep. My loveseat is rusty red... Need I say more. That means big changes for the hub of the house. New drapes or in order and pillows etc... I have been working on a few things and cant wait to share. My daughter says she feels like we have moved to a farm and its too country. It's "FRENCH COUNTRY" and I love it! So cozy and fresh. Hope to see you back soon so I can share all of my big changes with you! Goodnight, Susie

Madison jumped in bed way too early this morning. She is always afraid to check out what the Easter Bunny or Santa brought. She will not go in the Den until we go with her.I think she is afraid that they might still be in the house. Oh what fun to be a child..
White eggs lined up all in a row. Just waiting to get their holiday burst of color. Madison and I are the only ones left in the house that want to take part in this fun. I guess that's what age does to you. I still feel the need to dye eggs. I will never grow old,I will never grow old....
Tommorow as well as today has started a flood of memories. My sweet brother Wesley was born 29 years ago. Wow the years just fly by so quickly. I remember the day and location that my Mom told me of his coming. To be honest I was not that happy. I was the baby. I thought I was doing a good job at it. Well here he came... Bald and chubby just like they should be. I of course gave up the role of the baby and proudly became his "mother hen". He made the perfect baby doll and was always up for playing dress up. Yes, I did sneak a dress on him a time or two. Not a day went by that my Sister and I did not keep track of him. Not always an easy task. As the years flew by we watched him grow into such a caring, giving, courageous man. I think the roles changed and we started learning from him. He took life by the tail and never let go. Many of my life's lesson's I have learned from him. Today I feel both blessed to have known him and sad to have lost him. He will always remain a huge part in my life. I miss him more than words can say. Happy Birthday Wesley. I love you......
I know... I am such a slow poke. Well not really, I have been on the ball for the past two weeks. I had two shows back to back and that kept me pretty busy. Here is my big idea. I hope you like it. I have a new found love for cloche's. I love how they come in so many different shapes and sizes. You can do so much with them. I thought I could make my very own and I did. Now I would love to share them with all of you. They are so sweet and would even be cute to place a little Hersey's kiss inside. What a neat gift for a teacher or friend. Enjoy, Susie
