This elf has been busy~

I made one of these and gave to my friend. She is a teacher at Madison's school. The other teachers saw and placed many orders... Yahoooo!!

So my house has turned into Santas workshop once again.

They are stacked here...

and there...

Some have extra fancy painting...

This is why I decorate early for Christmas. These little darlings are all dressed up in their bows and are ready to be dropped off this morning with Madison. This weekend I will be attending a Womens Brunch at our church and about fifty local boutiques and stores will be there to sell their sweets. I was asked to be one of them. Fun! This will be my last show for the year...I think~

Love the signs! I like the ones that have the designs on them.

I also think your idea of the pop quiz for the movies was great. Our family is watching a movie tonight, but before it is watched we are going to see how well we know the movies:) It will be fun!!!

Ok...you have painted, decorated, made signs...when do you ever sleep and what do you have up that creative sleeve of yours next? I just about finished with the decorating (a few little places to tweak) and now my camera is acting up so no pictures yet. Have a great weekend and good luck with the show...the signs are fabulous!

Im in love with them...Did you hand paint those beauties or use a stencil? You are so crafty...And you have great taste too~! I was planning on making roman shades for the game room and put on the bottomof the middle window Est. 1990 and a star at the bottom of the side windows...And on the big window across the room (by the bar) have it say The Old Saloon at the bottom...What do you think? Any suggestions? Oh and email me I want to ask you a question.....Meme

WOW! Once again I am so impressed. They look incredible. It amazes me how fast you can make something so beautiful. I would take days to make one, so I would have to get started in January to make that many signs! They look great though!

Oh how cool! Very pretty!

Do you just use pine slats? If so, I don't think I've ever seen pine look so nice. You did a great job!

I've been making signs for a few months know, before I "knew" you!!, and I seriously don't know how you whip these things out so fast. You must have some amazing and efficient process that I have not discovered yet. Because mine always take A LOT of time and detail. That's what I was emailing you about the other day, lol.

I just got an order yesterday for 4 signs, that I'm about to start whipping into shape, but I'm also getting some stock Christmas ones together too, so I can have some on had to offer when orders come in {and hope that's what they wanted, lol}. Otherwise, I'll just have to give them as gifts.

Anyway, if you wouldn't mind sharing your amazing and efficient process with me, I would LOVE to hear it! {You can email me}

Marie said...

I love your signs!!! I'm so happy you are doing so well selling them. They are beautiful. Are you selling them on etsy? I should look... I tried to buy a sign 1.5 years ago similar to that and the girl took my money and never sent me the sign. She is still in business on etsy and ebay and it bugs me to no end.

Missed you!!!! Thanks for checking in on me. :o)

Susie,

I love these. Do you hang these on an exterior wall? And how do you hang it up? You should do a class on your blog on how to make signs like that. Just a thought. Love your blog and love the new grey walls. I'm loving the grays and blues these days and have been thinking about where to incorporate these colors in the new house.

Thanks,
Deb

so sorry to bug the HAPPY ELF! First-good luck on your show. I hope you do awesome. rephrase-I am sure that you will do awesome!!!
I have a question about a past post. Remember those cute fruit candles that you picked up at your last craft fair. You were going to make some of your own. I was wondering if you did and if you could let me on some secrets on how to do them.
What kind of oil do you use. I am with you-I think I am just going to put the fruit in the oil-no candle.
So-do you just basically put the fruit in the jar-pour in the oil and call it good? Do you do some kind of seal on the top?
Maybe I am totally lame and I should know how to do this-but how do you age mason jar lids?
It's my moms 50th birthday on the 27th. She has everything. and she doesn't want us to buy her anything. I thought that these would be perfect!
She will love them! I am thinking that I will love them as well-so hopefully they don't cost too much to make!
thanks so much for your help!
Good luck on your show! Make lots and lots of money so you can go and buy you a fabulous new purse!! You deserve it!!
