This is what my child is giving her teachers for Christmas. I hope they like them.

They have seen and bought everything I make at her school. It had to be something new and it had to be fast!

I had one piece of left over wood and cut it in half.

So they each get an 8x8 handpainted piece of goodness.

I didnt intend to wait till the last minute to make my teachers gifts. They are giving my kid the greatest gift ever....an education for petes sake! What was I thinking~

So just in case you are interested in one for your little self..

I will have them for sale after Christmas.

I will give a shout out when my Etsy store will be up and loaded again

I would love to hear what you think about them and if you have any suggestions. Dont you feel a giveaway is needed! Yes indeed... stayed tuned for that~

What wonderful gifts! The teachers will be thrilled!! Lori
ReplyDeleteGreat! Those teachers are going to be excited to say the least! You do such a great job! Jackie

ReplyDeleteOutstanding...the teachers will be so happy.
ReplyDeletethey will love them!
ReplyDeleteI think they're great! And as a teacher, if I were to receive one of these, I'd be so thankful and appreciative. Great job! What kind of wood do you use?

ReplyDeleteOh I love them!!!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Miz Susie,
ReplyDeleteI wonder do you ever make anything that just doesn't turn out gorgeous? How lovely those are! And everyone appreciates a personalized gift, I know I would. I can think of about 10 spots in my home where one of those would look fabulous...And I have a very short (5 letters - fast & easy to paint) last name, something to keep in mind if I happen to be lucky enough to be chosen in a future giveaway for one of those beauties! *smiles*
Love them! I might have to steal the idea for my son's teacher...but I still have a few days left..afterall they aren't done with school till tuesday..so I expect Sunday I will start panicing. LOL
ReplyDeleteThose are wonderful! And yes, I would love to have one!
ReplyDeletelove them! and put me on a list! i want one sooo much!
ReplyDeleteI think any teacher would be thrilled to get one of these...so much better (and more personal) than the "teacher" realated gifts they usually get. How many coffee mugs and apple themed items can one person need?:)
ReplyDeleteSusie,
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful gift. I was waiting in anticipation as to what you were going to show us gals, you always have such great ideas and nice work.
Merry Christmas
Cheri
This is a wonderful gift for ANYONE not just teachers!! Love the look of it. When we can order them would it be possible to order whatever letter and word we want, ex. a capital 'F' and the word Faith, a capital 'L' and the word Love, etc. etc?? Can't wait. Love the things you come up with. LindaSonia
ReplyDeleteOh I LOVE these!!! Do you freehand the name?
ReplyDeleteJust BEAUTIFUL! as always!

Take a break & enjoy the weekend.
Gsh Susie...I need to go back in education and somehow manage to come to your area and hopefully teach your children....I love everything you make and after the first of the year I am going to get me those cute tassels you make....
ReplyDeleteThose are fabulous! Wonder if I'd get some cute loot like this if I started teaching again? I did personalized gifts for my son's teachers this year too. Any gift with thought and time put into it is appreciated so much more. I know you're daughter's teachers will love their gifts. Great job!

Those are beautiful, the teachers will be so happy. Please let me know when they will be in your shop, I want one for my mantle.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful...I know the teachers will adore them!
ReplyDeleteI have to say, your "handwriting" (painting) is so precise. Whenever I try to paint something like that, I get the shakes. LOL
Well, speaking as a former teacher - I would have absolutely loved those for a gift! Very nice!! PAM
ReplyDeleteThose are DARLING! I can't wait until you have them listed in your store...and what I love the most is that they are painted and not vinyl...you are a talented lady!
ReplyDeleteI love them! Her teachers will, too! How thoughtful you are! And did I hear a giveaway mentioned? : )
ReplyDeleteI want to order one or two!!
ReplyDeleteLove them!!!! I'm sure the teachers will too.
ReplyDeleteWow! I love all of the signs you've made. I may be doing some Christmas shopping for 2009 after your etsy store is stocked.
ReplyDeleteYou are one heck of a talented girl! They are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, you make THE most fabulous things!!!! I can't wait to see them in your store....I'm sure I NEED one!!!!!! A giveaway sounds wonderful to me!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love that! I wish I was one of your kid's teachers! What a fun gift to get! One of my roommates (when I was single) was a 2nd grade teacher and she would come home with tons of mugs full of candy! We always laughed at how many Christmas mugs we had in our kitchen!
ReplyDeleteThey are wonderful...put me on that list when they are for sale. My sister and her husband are hitting their one year anniversary and I need something good. :)
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome. I'd love to get one, do you think a last name with 10 letters would fit? I miss my 6 letter maiden name, especially considering my first name has 8 letters. Yep 18 letters in my full name now. But I digress. The teachers will love these.
ReplyDeleteThis is something I would definitely buy. It's very crisp but elegant. Take care and how nice for their teachers.
ReplyDeleteLovely! you are so talented!
ReplyDeleteClassy....for a teacher gift...;)
ReplyDeleteLove them.....would THESE little babies be part of the little giveaway?????
Suzanne
love love love them!!!
ReplyDeleteThey're very pretty! I'm making signs for Maddison's teachers {this year's and last year's b/c we love her}. I intended to start earlier, but here I am finishing them today, hours before I will deliver them.
ReplyDeleteLove these!
Would love to do lunch when you come this way! :)
ReplyDeleteI love these.... Every year I make something personalized with the teachers initial... They go crazy over the gift just for them... Yours turned out GREAT!!
ReplyDeleteOOOHHH! I love that - my daughters name is Kennedy and she loves "fancy" stuff - and she's only 9!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful gifts. You do such great job!...Pat H
ReplyDeleteI haven't been by to see you much lately. Life is soooo busy right now.
ReplyDeleteI do think a homemade gift is in order for those special teachers.
Especially your gifts.
Believe me.....I have been taking back LOTS of "returns" of "unwanted Christmas gifts" from teachers already.
I don't think they would be displeased with this item at all.
By the way......"Happy Birthday" my friend.
Merry Christmas.....
Joyce
How fabulous! I'm a teacher, can I order one asap? : )

Jo

ReplyDeleteOH my heck I love that!!! WAY cute!!!
ReplyDeleteI love those signs. What a great idea. They must have loved them!!!
ReplyDeleteI think they are fabulous just like everything else you do! I would love to win one!
ReplyDeleteWell, as a former teacher, I have to tell you that it beats the usual bath gel & candles. Although those are great, something handmade and personal is just that much more meaningful. It goes to show you too that a fab gift doesn't have to cost a fortune. Great work! Love them so much I want to marry them...
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to stop by and wish you a very Merry Christmas! I enjoy your blog so much! Love the teachers gifts too!
