This is a sight that we dont get to see often. Snow in the deep south is not a frequent visitor. But on this night..... yeah!!!

Maddy's playhouse was covered....

In front of Maddy's playhouse....

What a funny little face~

Kaylee taking it all in...

Jesse with his red nose....

Down here we have no need for snow clothes... we just had to make due. It was funny cause after all of their gloves were soaked.... I started missing my hot mitts????

Drake was not to sure of this white stuff....

He was not too happy~

So we played and enjoyed and drank many mugs of hot coco

Guess it will be another twenty years before we see this beautiful fluff stuff again. We enjoyed it while it lasted~
I just found your site and I love it! We are transplants from Houston living in Florida and we miss being in your neck of the woods (roughly I am guessing). I will check back often!
ReplyDeleteHow fun!!! Love the pics! I am freezing today too... but no snow! And, yep, I have already had a cup of hot cocoa!
ReplyDeleteWe still have not gotten any! All we get is black ice. :(
ReplyDeleteLove snow, looks like you had lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteYou really did get a lot of snow, it's beautiful. How fun for you and the kids to play in it. We had flurries on Wednesday but they just melted when they touched the ground. Boo hoo!
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm in Mississippi, but we are in the north part of the state, so it missed us completely. Glad ya'll got to enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteHooray for snow!! We finally got some here also (rare for us so late in the year) but it now feels like Christmas. The boys are already out sledding! What fun!
ReplyDeleteWe've yet to have our first accumulation of snow, this Fall. Had aplenty last winter. There are predictions of ice then snow, for tomorrow night through early next week.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the snow. We love it!
My parents in Houston had snow too....they called me giddy with excitement saying it was SNOWING!!! It is so beautiful and how neat that you had some in December! Looks like you got quite a bit of it in your area!
ReplyDeleteYou had the pretty snow! The kind that makes everything look all fluffy! Enjoy it while it lasts!
ReplyDeleteHow fun!!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I heard on the news that it hit y'all. Drake is so cute desperately trying to find a dry spot. That's just what my dachshund does. :)
ReplyDeletewe get a little too much for my taste, but the pics are pretty!
ReplyDeleteWell heck, being here from the south, I'm very glad YOU'ALL got the snow this time :)
ReplyDeleteI have a Yorkshire Terrier too. He looks just like DRAKE, same puppy cute, etc. Sr. Winston Churchill is our pup's name. He is our 2nd Yorkie; I mean, what other kind of dog is there???
Merry Christmas!!
Blessings,
Sher
We had fun in it too. Us LA people sure don't have "real" snow clothes. We looked like a bunch of rednecks in all our layered gear. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou have a great BLOG!! Love all the pics!
ReplyDeleteI will visit you often!
Your place looked gorgeous in the snow. We were like a bunch of kids over here. Like we ain't neva seen snow before...wait we really hadn't...lol. The kids loved it and it sure put me in the Christmas mood. As far as the clothes go, I had the nerve to go out in socks and flip flops!!! It was fun. Hope things are well with you and that you have a very Merry Christmas. Cards in the mail :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun, Susie! We didnt' get any white stuff here in B'ham. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWe never see snow here. What a beautiful sight. I know you enjoyed that treat. Jackie
ReplyDeleteHoly cow, you have more snow than we do in SE Michigan at the moment! What fun!
ReplyDeletevery pretty pics! I'm glad you got to have some white during Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI love snow...in pictures! LOL
ReplyDeleteMy parents are in Austin, and my mother emailed me last week saying THEY got snow! We didn't here in DFW, but they did. Weird!
Enjoy!
I'l trade ya! It's snowing here as we well, speak. The news is on and it is covered in white cold stuff!
ReplyDeleteYes...I heard about the snow in Houston. It looks simply beautiful in your pics! Is it all gone?
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Miz Susie!
ReplyDeleteI bet y'all had a ball playing in the white stuff! It's the same here, about every 4 or 5 years we'll get a dusting and everyone goes nuts. I grew up with the stuff so I'm happy to have it only every once in awhile *smiles* Your Drake looks so cute walking across the snow! And the kids look like they are having a blast. Great picture of the birdhouse, love that, possible winter bread and butter card picture perhaps? Or maybe enlarged for your winter decorations? I love it. Have a wonderfully blessed week!
We got some too!!!!! Not nearly as much as you though. However, like you we were making the most of it! Your pictures are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI'm near the coast in Louisiana and we were up at 3 am playing in the white stuff!!! What fun we all had. Love your blog!!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband was in Mississippi all weekend and said he couldn't believe it! His flight was delayed because of the weather and it was freezing!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't snow just make you feel like Christmas!! What a great day!
ReplyDeleteOh, Susie!
ReplyDeleteYou got our snow!!!! The weather men had been promising and promising and, the, poof! I watched it dissipate, on the radar, as it got closer to us, but.... the southern part of the state got all of it! Somebody goofed!!! ;*)
I am glad to see that y'all got so much -- that close the town down amounts!!!
I also loved your Christmas Vacation movie night! What a great idea!!! We love that show, too!
Since you like Chevy Chase (we do too!), have you seen Funny Farm? We just love that show and quote it all the time!!!
Okay, I'm gonna shut up, now ... but next time, please share some of that snow!!!
Merry Christmas,
Julie
Looks like y'all had a blast! I live in North Mississippi, and we usually don't see snow like that, either. This past March, we did and I know exactly what you mean about the clothing situation! Here's what I did to help with the wet glove situation...I keep latex gloves to use while cleaning, and we all put those on under our gloves. That helped tremendously to keep our hands dry.
ReplyDeleteI am SOOOOOO jealous! : ) We're fixin' to get lovely freezing rain. YUCK!
ReplyDeleteI love this bird house!!
ReplyDeleteWell, here in Chicagoland we are in a winter wonderland. Lots of snow and an ice storm on the way and then more snow. It's so much fun to drive in when the streets aren't plowed (ha ha)
ReplyDeleteThats why I drive the big mama truck. : )

Speaking of just adding your favorite jacket, Bandage Dresses Lubov almost always wears Herve Leger separates.Perhaps because of Herve Leger Replica how we show our pieces, or just the assumed way of Herve Leger, Oktoberfest outfit people tend to wear our collections together, as one piece. But I like them as separates; it’s almost cooler,” she says. “I would put this jacket with a pair of jeans or a work skirt. And of course it all but if you’re in L.A., you just wear Herve Leger Dressesthe skirt with a T-shirt. The great thing about Herve separates is that it adds high fashion glamour to any number of basic pieces you already own.”depends on where you live,
