  1. I do think they are a wonderful, loving family. I can't even imagine caring for that many children. I know they don't pay for things on credit and wow that is just hard to believe. I am going to try to watch that special tonight.

  6. It's great to see the Lord work through this family even though most of society thinks they're crazy. Michelle said this morning that her children are like flowers & you can never say that there are too many flowers - they're all a blessing.

  13. You know, my husband is the oldest of 12 - all of his brothers and sisters are highly educated, warm, polite, wonderful people. It takes a lot of work for a household like that to run but when everyone gets together it's one of the most joyful things ever. I'm sticking with my 3, but hats off to those who can do it, provide and raise well a family like that!

  15. I totally agree with everyone. I admire and enjoy hearing, seeing, and listening to the way they are living their life. The children appear to be truly loving, smart, and compassionate with each other and I applaud the way they handle their finances. I am sure the reality show helps out a great deal BUT it only came along in recent years, which by that time they had, what, a houseful of kids :)
If they can buy through thrift shops and hand me downs, we can learn much from that. Can't wait to watch tonights showing and I, too, have popcorn and cokes on hand!!
Oh, and Susie?, doooooo let us know when your Etsy shop is up and going. I've saved some Christmas money just for you!!!!

  31. I just read about her 'secret' of whispering to the children...boy, I wish I had known that one when my kids were little...I'll try it with grandkids someday. OTOH, my 9 YO already practices this...she knows the world stops if we can't hear what she is saying...but it also gets her into trouble...if I can't hear what she said to me in the front seat and she is in the backseat...speak up child!
