The unseen room. Most of us have one. Mine holds way too much but I just cant seem to part with my past...and my mothers past...and my.. well you get the point. If you wanna looksee what hangs over our little heads stay with me.

After the scary climb up the rickety ladder you are hit with this...

dollhouse from my mothers past..metal? those were the good ole days. I have her family too

along with her dolly highchair. How did I end up with this stuff???

mixed in with the past lives our Christmas village. Not the fancy kind just good ole Walmart

Now because our photos are coming up in the wrong order, ugh! You get to see Maddy and our new ornaments. There is a story there..

back to the attic..old rocking horse!

Now that you have seen my attic I guess I can call you family. See all of these boxes next to Maddy. I got them for a song last year after Christmas. I never get to buy after Christams cause Im like the rest ..broke. But I couldnt pass these little darlings up. I think I may have paid a dollar a box. Oh yes I did! I bet you cant wait to see...

Take a look at this p.i.t.i.f.u.l..l..l tree. There is nothing full about it. It's tall and it's on hinges. You dont have to water it ( I have wood floors). I bought it at Hobby Lobby cheap.. the year we were building our house. So now you have seen my attic, cheap ornaments and sad tree... Oh just wait!
You are such a tease Miz Susie!!! I absolutely can't wait to see all of your Christmas decorations....I know it is going to be fabulous!!!!!
ReplyDeletesuzy did you sneak in my attic and take pictures!!!! oh I want to see that tree and ornmaents I love a good bargain.
ReplyDeletejulie
I bet you will end up with one gorgeous creation there! Can't wait to see. Jackie
ReplyDeleteWhy do I get the feeling that something wonderful is about to come out of these things you have shown?! Looking forward to the rest of the story!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to see that someone else has a full attic like mine!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tour of your attic. I bet you can turn that sad little tree into something brilliant!!
ReplyDeleteLeslie
I can't wait to see what you do...I'm sure it will be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI am staying tuned for the next chapter on this tree and lovely treasures hidden in those black bloxes.
ReplyDeleteI just know you'll make your tree look fabulous! And oh how I love your Christmas cards...sooooo pretty!
ReplyDeleteCan I just say I love your attic :)
ReplyDeleteOh I can't wait to see! I love bargain ornaments! UH-we don't use our attic. It scares me. And I am afraid things would melt in that little space. Jealous of all that great stoarage space you have! And what fun treasures it holds!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you will turn that pitiful tree into something that we will never believe started out like that.
ReplyDeleteYep, we have one of those spaces too...just not so unseen. It's our back porch. Hopefully hubby and I can tackle that after the Christmas tree comes in. It's back there too! I know yours is going to be spectacular :) Could you email me when you get a chance? I want to ask you about your painted concrete floor. Thanks!

FUN! Nothing like decorating a "new" tree! Can't wait to see it! I also have inherited grandmothers, my mothers, etc STUFF. It fills my basement. So hard to throw away for some reason too!
ReplyDeletehey charlie brown just wrapped a blanket around his and it looked great...try that with the ornaments!
ReplyDeleteLove the metal doll house. My sister and I had one just like that when we were growing up. In fact, my Mom still may have it in HER atttic!!!
ReplyDeleteSUZIE! I love that dollhouse. I recently saw a doll house decorated for Christmas! OHMYGOSH it was so darn cute. Yours is adorable. How fun! Love that room and all the little goodies in it. I bet you will outdo everyone with your Christmas decor and I for one CAN'T WAIT! hahaha, have an awesome day!

Hi Susie that was a fun tour!! I can hardly wait to see all the decorations.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see those ornaments Susie. Thanks for the tour and the kind comments on my blog.
ReplyDeleteLisa
Your attic looks SO much better than mine! We are such pack rats! : )
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see tha magical things you will do with all that stuff:)
ReplyDeleteOh, that IS a sad tree. ~giggle~ Is your mom like mine? Mine calls me to help her "clean out" the attic and guilts me into taking junk she no longer wants in her house. She makes me think it has sentimental value. Then my husband slaps me with a dead fish right across the face. Lol. Just kidding. But that's probably what he WANTS to do!
ReplyDeleteWe have a fake tree also. It's much more environmentally friendly and less of a fire hazard. (we live in the desert)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your C-mas decor. Are you going to decorate before Thanksgiving. I need some ideas girl. :-)
Hello Miz Susie,
ReplyDeleteI think it's wonderful that you have treasures from your Mother and Grandmother. I have precious few things because our home burned in when I was 12. So I think there's nothing better than having tangible history within reach *smiles* Enjoy it. Thank you for the peek into your attic treasure trove!!!
Susie, you are very brave to let us peek into the attic. Our attic is soooooo bad I don't even go up there. And I had a metal dollhouse, too. It was ordered from the Sears wishbook and came with plastic furniture. I honestly don't remember what the family looked like who lived in it.
ReplyDeleteHolley
I can't wait! :)
ReplyDeleteMy unseen room is really scary right now with much decorating going on! Can't wait to see your tree decorated.
ReplyDeleteI bow down to you my friend! You are a brave woman to show off your storage area. Although, you really do have some neat things up there!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you're ready for Christmas decorations. Just think of Christmas decorating makes me tired!!
Your attic is our basement! I did take photos of the corner where the Christmas stuff is, a couple years ago. I felt so brave!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see your tree decorated.
Cute photos of Maddie.
I can't wait to see it all put together -- I just know you'll make it all look beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteI believe you took a picture of the top of my stairs!! We all have these rooms. Don't be too tough on yourself, you're normal...lol.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day and nice to meet you...
Nicole
Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteM ^..^
I don't have an attic but if I did it would probably look like yours. lol
ReplyDeleteLast year I hit the Target after Christmas sale and bought a tree for $1.97.
We put it up today and although it's cute. I have to get used to it.
I can't wait to see what you come up with.
I just helped my mom and dad move to their new place. Their house had attic storage like this and it took us longer to bring all of that stuff down and pack it than anything else, partly because of the rickety ladder we had to go up and down. I thought we'd never finish!
ReplyDeleteWe found all sorts of "treasures" we'd forgotten about, though, which made it kind of fun. I never knew what we'd unearth next. I even discovered a box filled with old photos I'd never seen before.
Have a wonderful weekend, Suzy! :-)
Great creative job

Speaking of just adding your favorite jacket, Bandage Dresses Lubov almost always wears Herve Leger separates.Perhaps because of Herve Leger Replica how we show our pieces, or just the assumed way of Herve Leger, Oktoberfest outfit people tend to wear our collections together, as one piece. But I like them as separates; it’s almost cooler,” she says. “I would put this jacket with a pair of jeans or a work skirt. And of course it all but if you’re in L.A., you just wear Herve Leger Dressesthe skirt with a T-shirt. The great thing about Herve separates is that it adds high fashion glamour to any number of basic pieces you already own.”depends on where you live,
