The unseen room. Most of us have one. Mine holds way too much but I just cant seem to part with my past...and my mothers past...and my.. well you get the point. If you wanna looksee what hangs over our little heads stay with me.
After the scary climb up the rickety ladder you are hit with this...

along with her dolly highchair. How did I end up with this stuff???
mixed in with the past lives our Christmas village. Not the fancy kind just good ole Walmart
Now because our photos are coming up in the wrong order, ugh! You get to see Maddy and our new ornaments. There is a story there..
back to the attic..old rocking horse!
Now that you have seen my attic I guess I can call you family. See all of these boxes next to Maddy. I got them for a song last year after Christmas. I never get to buy after Christams cause Im like the rest ..broke. But I couldnt pass these little darlings up. I think I may have paid a dollar a box. Oh yes I did! I bet you cant wait to see...
Take a look at this p.i.t.i.f.u.l..l..l tree. There is nothing full about it. It's tall and it's on hinges. You dont have to water it ( I have wood floors). I bought it at Hobby Lobby cheap.. the year we were building our house. So now you have seen my attic, cheap ornaments and sad tree... Oh just wait!

Oh I can't wait to see! I love bargain ornaments! UH-we don't use our attic. It scares me. And I am afraid things would melt in that little space. Jealous of all that great stoarage space you have! And what fun treasures it holds!
I'm sure you will turn that pitiful tree into something that we will never believe started out like that.
Yep, we have one of those spaces too...just not so unseen. It's our back porch. Hopefully hubby and I can tackle that after the Christmas tree comes in. It's back there too! FUN! Nothing like decorating a "new" tree! Can't wait to see it! I also have inherited grandmothers, my mothers, etc STUFF. It fills my basement. So hard to throw away for some reason too!
hey charlie brown just wrapped a blanket around his and it looked great...try that with the ornaments!
Love the metal doll house. My sister and I had one just like that when we were growing up. In fact, my Mom still may have it in HER atttic!!!
SUZIE! I love that dollhouse. I recently saw a doll house decorated for Christmas! OHMYGOSH it was so darn cute. Yours is adorable. How fun! Love that room and all the little goodies in it. I bet you will outdo everyone with your Christmas decor and I for one CAN'T WAIT! hahaha, have an awesome day!

Oh, that IS a sad tree. ~giggle~ Is your mom like mine? Mine calls me to help her "clean out" the attic and guilts me into taking junk she no longer wants in her house. She makes me think it has sentimental value. Then my husband slaps me with a dead fish right across the face. Lol. Just kidding. But that's probably what he WANTS to do!
We have a fake tree also. It's much more environmentally friendly and less of a fire hazard. (we live in the desert)
Can't wait to see your C-mas decor. Are you going to decorate before Thanksgiving. I need some ideas girl. :-)

I think it's wonderful that you have treasures from your Mother and Grandmother. I have precious few things because our home burned in when I was 12. So I think there's nothing better than having tangible history within reach *smiles* Enjoy it. Thank you for the peek into your attic treasure trove!!!
Susie, you are very brave to let us peek into the attic. Our attic is soooooo bad I don't even go up there. And I had a metal dollhouse, too. It was ordered from the Sears wishbook and came with plastic furniture. I honestly don't remember what the family looked like who lived in it.

Your attic is our basement! I did take photos of the corner where the Christmas stuff is, a couple years ago. I felt so brave!

I don't have an attic but if I did it would probably look like yours. lol
Last year I hit the Target after Christmas sale and bought a tree for $1.97.
We put it up today and although it's cute. I have to get used to it.
I can't wait to see what you come up with.
I just helped my mom and dad move to their new place. Their house had attic storage like this and it took us longer to bring all of that stuff down and pack it than anything else, partly because of the rickety ladder we had to go up and down. I thought we'd never finish!
We found all sorts of "treasures" we'd forgotten about, though, which made it kind of fun. I never knew what we'd unearth next. I even discovered a box filled with old photos I'd never seen before.
