See what I made very late lastnight. Yep! Those yummy squares called rice crispy treats. It was late.. I ate a few

Ok it's now morning and look what I have done! Dont be too hard on me people. One did go into my daughters lunchbox and I can promise you my precious love ate one on his way to work. Ok, so I ate the rest... Show some love. Im stressed, smile

I have the guys waiting on me to get their fuzz on...

and "GG" is waiting for some action. Well maybe one more for the road. Im off to the post office. Gotta love cool days when you can wear sweat pants!
This cracks me up because it's SO something I would do! I noticed about two weeks ago, I had made a desert and I was waiting for my husband to come home. I didn't want to cut myself a piece yet...so I was getting up for a little bite everytime a commercial came on...either there were alot of commercials or i was taking some big 'ol bites!! :) OOPS!
ReplyDeletehehehe I love those squares! Darn, now I want one!!! hehe. I love those roosters, I cant wait to see when they are done! :)
ReplyDeleteI won't be hard on you because I've done it, too! It's just that they're so delicious! :)
ReplyDeleteOh YUM! I haven't had those in forever...
ReplyDeleteI adore rice crispy treats. I eat way more than I should when I make them. So I don't make them. LOL
ReplyDeleteHow yummy, and those sweats are a great thing. I have a wedding to attend tomorrow, and can't exactly wear sweats to it though. Have a great weekend, and get your workout with that glue gun. Jackie
ReplyDeleteToo funny I love them too! It cool here too I get to wear a sweatshirt I am so happy!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry...i noticed Palin's hair too!! she was looking good last night!! :) Maybe I should dress up as her for halloween!
ReplyDeleteI love home made rice crispy treat bad things is when I make them I end of eating almost all of them to -- so don't feel bad. thanks for sharing -- Much Love
ReplyDeleteAnissa
Hey, you've shown more restraint than I would have! I can't wait to see those roosters all gussies up!
ReplyDeleteUgh...that's what "preview" is for...I meant "gussied". Sigh....
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly why I don't make them often. I have a family of five and I am the one that eats them all.
ReplyDeleteFunny! My husband says they're mostly air, so you can beat yourself too much over eating them. LOL
ReplyDeleteMy friend and I would make these in high school and then cut it down the middle and eat it all! :) I told myself it was "basically" fat free because the rice krispies are fat free!!! I guess I forgot about the butter and marshmellows that went into it!
ReplyDeleteNo judging from me! If they were at my house there wouldn't be ANY left in that pan!
ReplyDeleteThat is why I have started making smaller batches of things! To save my self! ;D
Yum, I love those rice K thingies! Now I want some too!
ReplyDeleteI just got the biggest kick out of the disappearance of those wonderful RK treats. I can't have them around, because I am also very guilty about eating the whole batch. (And I have!)
ReplyDeleteA question about the wonderful treat buckets---does the acrylic paint stay on the plastic--did you seal it with anything? I am crazy about what you did! Dana
I love those too! Yummy! Rice is good for you, right? LOL!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the love yall. I knew you would understand. They are just too good to eat one! Dana asked about the paint for the buckets...Hi Dana! I just painted it on and it stayed pretty good. This will be her third year using a painted bucket. I did have to touch up a few places this year cause she played with it and it ended up in her toybox. You could spray a sealer on it if you would like. Im just lazy like that, smile~
ReplyDeleteTHANK GOD for sweat pants!!! :) They hide a multitude of sins! LOL! I'm wearing the dreadful things, or "racing strips" as my husband unaffectionally calls them as I type! LOL! ~Rhonda
ReplyDeleteOh rice crispy treats are the best! Good luck with your work. Sorry you are stressed.
ReplyDeleteLast year a friend of mine gave me a little trick to make speedy rice treats. I'm warning you that if you love these special little treats that this could be very bad:)
ReplyDeleteIn a small bowl (like cereal bowl size) microwave 4 large marshmallows and a couple tablespoons of butter. Microwave for about 10 seconds. Watch the marshmallows because they puff up really big! Remove from microwave and add about 1/4 c. rice krispies. You can add more depending on how crunchy you like them.
So, there you go... rice krispie treats for when you have that craving but don't want to make a whole pan! At least this way, you can deny a little bit easier that you haven't eaten a whole pan!
I can't wait to see the "after" roosters. Guess I'm headed to the store to get ingredients for rice crispy treats now, they look so good!
ReplyDeleteQuick question Miss Susie! I think in one of your old posts you painted plates to hang on the walls in your house. What kind of paint did you use on them?? I have a project that I am thinking about and I don't want to mess the plates up! Please let me know if this wasn't on one of your posts!! Thanks a ton!
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you with all the trouble out there with our economy, etc. My...that WHOLE gallon of Mint Choc. Chip Ice Cream is looking pretty good about now. LOL!
ReplyDeleteM.L. : )
You crack me up! I TOO made rice crispie squares yesterday and they are almost gone... brownies the day before... hummm... wonder what today will hold??!!!
ReplyDeleteyep, been there, done that...more times than I care to remember. Now, since I have no restraint at all, I just say "who cares" and add peanut butter and chocolate. And guess what. I bought 10 bags that were .25piece at CVS because they had to sell them in a week. hee heee
ReplyDeleteyou are SO good! i just remembered that it was Kimba! thanks so much for helping me out!
ReplyDeleteDid you save me a little itsy bitsy taste? I love those rice krispie things I think I'll make me some. Do you want me to save one for you? I love your buckets in the previous post and the birds are awesome.
ReplyDeleteROFLOL ...That is the exact reason I can't make stuff like that...I EAT it ALL!!! Don't stress Miz Susie just craft away and you will be fine!! I got to wear a sweatshirt for my morning walk on Thursday....LOVED it!!
ReplyDeleteoooooh. I love Rice Crispy treats. I'd chose that over a piece of cake any day. I can't blame you for snitching a few. I hate being on a diet. BLeh.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a healthy, cereal based breakfast to me. ;~)
ReplyDeleteHave you made them with the chocolate flavored rice krispies?!?!
Or how about adding peanut butter!
Those things are really addicting!!!
Don't you just hate when that happens? LOL
ReplyDeleteThose darn things are just too good and because they are soooo light, they never feel too heavy in the stomach. . .so we just keep eating, and eating without ever feeling full.
Me? I just stopped making them. When I do, they haunt me. . .all. . . day. . . long!!
Blessings,
Sher
Oh my goodness! That is exactly what I do! I can.not stay out of 'em, especially if they're nice & gooey warm. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI hope you ate a few for me!!! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYep, Thats me!! So I think alot of us are guilty of this. But they look sooo good. Thanks for sharing (and making me want one)Have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteOh I would so be in trouble with those rice crispy treats around!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the rooster tip and for your kind comments! Your wee plaques with fine feathered friends are soooo sweet! I couldn't paint that nicely to save my life! I'm sure the Rice Krispie treats fueled your creative energy! They never last long around here either!
ReplyDeleteSweats and rice krispy treats....off to a great start!
ReplyDeleteNew here! I'm the Janitor over at BATW.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog. heading over to browse your etsy shop. The holidays are coming up!
I have eaten a whole bag of Oreos on more than one occasion!! Sometimes you start and just can't stop. You think it will be enough with the next bite but NO!
ReplyDeleteOh, Hersheys makes a chocolate covered peanut butter and chocolate cookie I found last night--similar to Tagalongs. I ate like 8 in the car!
ReplyDeleteRice crispy treats are pure evil. Really, really yummy evil. I made pumpkin bread last night and ate wayyy too much of it! Yay for sweats!
ReplyDeleteHi, Nice to meet you! I came here thru Darlene's Days. I love your blog. You are so very talened. I have just finished my first tassel and hope to make more. I love them. I don't know if I can make them like you - yours are so full - how to you do it? Anyway, love your site. Thank you so much for sharing. Stop by and say hi.
ReplyDeleteCheryl
COming to your blog for the first time through Queen Bee. You are quite a talented lady. Your daughter is gorgeous! Glad she had such a good time with her date and friends.
ReplyDeleteYep, Yep, Yep...I'd have done the same thing! It was cool here, too, but now it's warm in the Midwest again. What is going on this fall?!? ~ Les
ReplyDeleteIt's funny because when I read that your "GG" needed some action I was waiting for a picture of an older lady. My children call their two great grandmothers "GG". I would start calling my glue gun that if it weren't for the fact that I think my grandmothers would be offended :-) Take care and you are so amazingly talented. Very admirable.
ReplyDeleteGreat creative job

“Women really dress based on their body shape. For example, Herve Leger Dress I’m very athletic. I have bigger shoulders and bigger bust bandage dresses herve leger and smaller in the hip area. So when it comes to Herve Leger, Dirndl Dress for me it’s really about A-line dresses because it gives me a hip but minimizes me on the top.”While there’s no doubt that Lubov and her husband, Max, design for women everywhere, you can’t help but imagine her stamping Herve Leger Dresses a mini-claim on a certain white dress and capelet pair when it was in its early stages. It’s a look we can imagine every woman instantly coveting when it’s available in April.
