Fall Table...

I wanted to do some sort of table setting but on a tight budget it makes getting creative all the more....

Found these very ugly cheese trays at the thrift store. They are the same size even though the picture makes them look weird.

Gave em' a good cleaning

I also found these white plates there. They will get me through any holiday. Love em'. I paid about .75 cents for them...sweet!

Didnt want to spend any on placemats and when you have to buy 6 it does add up. I just turned my old ones over.... new look!

Remember all of those Dollar Tree pumpkins I told yall about. Where this is what I did with mine.

Added that ugly little cheese tray dome.... beautiful!

I mixed and matched all of my pumpkins cause that's what fall is all about to me. Color....

I didnt have enough glass domes to go around and thats ok too. I will have fun adding to my collection. I wont even worry if they dont match. Thats the joy of it! I'm having a monogram "H" put on each napkin but I couldnt wait to show yall. Im also going to add some pretty glasses too. I will show yall when it's all done. I have just missed yall so much . Im off to clean my yard some... Ick!

  15. That's a great idea to put the cheese dome on a white plate--I have a cheese dome I have stashed away because I'm still searching for a glass plate to do a different project...but your post fired up my creative juices. Thanks, Susie!

I missed your last post...boy did those pictures look familiar...Years ago, 89 or so, we were hit hard by HUGO...pine trees popping off and uprooted tremendous Oak trees...messy yards...lost power for 3 weeks...yes 3 weeks...it just devistated all of SC and took a while to get things running again...the yard work took forever to finish...just take your time..it'll get done...ya'll are lucky...and hopefully this next one will miss you...looks like it so far:)

  37. I finally went to a dollar store today. I was looking for the white ceramic pumpkins, alas, none. They did have the small orange ones though. I should have taken your advice earlier.
Yes, it is a struggle to get back to normal, I don't know why. But thank you God, that Ike is not headed our way. I'm praying for Texans right now!

Glad all is well. We in San Antonio area are getting ready for IKE. A bunch of people from Corpus are coming to stay in the schools here for refuge. These hurricanes just turn the place upside down!

  42. You'll be seeing those cheese domes more and more at goodwill because they were all the rage when I got married almost 30 years ago. We got three of them as gifts and returned them all. It's about time for people my age to be cleaning out the home they raised their children in and moving on so those old gifts are about to become thrift store finds. I love what you did with them.
Glad things are looking up at your house.
