You always see whats inside so I thought I would take yall around back. This is my backyard...

If you take this trail you will meet the swamp...

It's been kind of dry here so the swamp has very little water but it still looks so peaceful to me..

I love it back here... just not the snakes!

The cypress knees are really neat. They grow next to the tree.

Some say it's how the tree breathes... Not so sure about that but they also say if you cut down the knee the tree will die...

It's very quiet back here....

Now you have seen my backyard and my muddy feet...

Time for a pedicure!
Looks peaceful. I love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely backyard! If I had such a place right out my backdoor I'd drink my morning coffee out there every day. You are blessed to have such a peaceful place to go explore that belongs all to you! I wouldn't like the snakes either, I'm a big scare-dy cat when it comes to bugs, creepies and crawlies. Your nail polish looks like it matches your flip flops ~ how cute is that! Thank you for sharing your beautiful back yard with us :)
ReplyDeleteWOW! Now that is a backyard! It's beautiful. :o)
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't ever leave there Susan. I love the art of the trees. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour pedicure is way better than mine.
Susie, I was looking for a pet picture, instead I see a tranquil place which is your back yard. I love cypress trees and I am fascinated by those cypress knees. I wonder if cotton mouth snakes are a problem. They love places like that. We lived very near an area where cypress trees grew and we would get snakes in our yard sometimes. I love the beauty of nature right in your own back yard.

I love that backyard, so tranquil. I have heard that about the cypress knees too. We love stopping on the Trace and looking at the cypress trees. They are so beautiful. Enjoy the pedicure!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful backyard1 You are braver than I am....I would have on boots if I thought any snakes were anywhere near! LOL
ReplyDeleteI found you through Nancy of My Crafty Little Page (Pet Show). I did love your tour of your backyard--to the swamp. Do you have alligators there? I don't know where you live, but when I see the word "swamp" the first connection I make is of the big-toothed kind? :-) I peeked at your previous post and saw you were really a gal I could like--anyone who paints furniture black is a keeper in my book. Oh, and to think you made that sweet table from a Walmart find is even better! It was nice to meet your!
ReplyDeleteI was admiring your backyard a great deal...but then you mentioned snakes. Ugh!! That's a deal breaker! ;)

Susie, Your backyard and swamp looks so magical and peaceful! I bet it has been a fun romping grounds for your kids! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your table! What section in Wal-mart did you get it? It is super cute! ...and the $$$ is even better!
Hugs, Rhonda
Wow! You have an amazing backyard...just beautiful! Thanks for trapsing thru the mudd to take all those wonderful pics for us :o)

Beautiful back yard....it is nature at its finest!! We live on an acre and have a small creek at the back (dry at this time of year) and yes we occasionally see a snake or two...YIKES!!!
ReplyDeleteSWAMPS? We don't have swamps in S. Calif. But you probably don't get too many earthquakes either (smile). Loved the tour of your back yard. I especially loved the tassel you sent to The Berry Patch. I saw pics of that on her blog, oh my. It is beautiful! The black birdie tassel would look great hanging from a black basket handle filled with fall gourds!
ReplyDeleteLoved it!
Blessings, Debbie

I'm getting a pedicure today. Do ya want to go with me? O'yea you probably don't live any where near me. You have beautiful trees and we have cactus. :(
ReplyDeleteBrandee
Looks like a pretty, peaceful place. I hope you have a little spot to sit and enjoy it all.
ReplyDeleteI would love a place that had trees and a trail like that. I agree about the snakes, though. I probably wouldn't ever let my Kiddo out in the yard! But it does look very peaceful.
ReplyDeleteThis truely does look so peaceful! Thanks for sharing. I sure do admire your tassels everytime I come by. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Susie! These fuzzy faces, what are we going to do with them? Did you check your comments from yesterday - last night I left you a message that I'm giving you a little award. Go check it out!
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
What a beautiful backyard. It looks so peaceful and inviting. We don't have cypress trees up here but I love them
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! My kids would love it!!

Great back yard Susie-Very peaceful.
ReplyDeleteHey...Yup, you read right-Our daughter Brenda is getting ready to have a baby boy (She already has a 6 year old/our grandson Landon) I JUST got a E mail from her saying the baby (Carson) dropped today-So her breathing is easier yet she isn't sleeping much. Her last day of work is tomorrow. I cannot believe that this time next week I will be holding a precious little pumpkin.
AND...I always have my camera with me...I may not take pictures of the meat guy at Fred Meyers like Jan does but I do always have my camera! Big smile.
Even with all this rain we are getting EVERY single day (have you noticed the huge thunderstorms???) the water levels jere are still low. Crazy.
ReplyDeleteWatch out for the water moccasins...ugh. I hate that.
Especially in those little flip flops..girl I would have on the mud boots back there. HA!
The cypress trees are always so awesome...and pretty but have your ever tripped over those silly knees?? Or is that just me? Sometimes they hide....then just pop up where your walking. HA! HA!
