Master Bath...

Isnt it fun to peek in someones bathroom... I love bathrooms! Is that weird?

Now you can say that you have been in mine..

I made this... just stuck it right in there... no glue..

As you walk in my bath right behind the door is the shower. One day soon I will have this taken out and a new one done.. With pretty tile... cant wait!

This is right by my tub... I love the light that it lets in

it also has this neat ledge that I put stuff on. I do put pictures in everyroom!

This jar came from TJMaxx.. it holds my bath bubbles..

Looks even better with a tassel!

my sink...

We changed out the ugly mirror and put this one in. I got this one from Kirklands.

I made this Flure De Lis with wire...I think every room should have a little lamp. Dont you...

Another picture...

Thought you may want to see me and hunny... a few years back when we were in Jamica... did you check out that hair on me!...

What bath tour is complete without a peek at the paper...Do you roll over or under?

I had this tall wall with nothing behind the "seat"...

Fixed that for dollars.... scrapbook paper rocks!

Never enough cabinets

The closet door... I guess you thought I would take you in there... Trust me. It's the black hole... If you go in you may never come back out... I would like to see you again, smile....

  1. Love your bathroom & all the cabinets. Our master bathroom is sooooo small and in desperate need of being gutted & expanded.

  2. Your bathroom is beautiful! My master bath is in dire need of being decorated. It always seems that those places company will never see are the last to be decorated (at least they are for me). Such wonderful inspiration!

  3. Wowser, what a big master bath you have! Love everything, from the little lamp to the artwork above the commode to the handcrafted wire fleur de lis to the framed photos...beautiful! I wish I had a bath all to myself, we only have one so it takes a beating. Boys can be hard on pretty things!

Your home tour has been such an inspiration, room after beautiful room, all filled with fab decorating ideas. Your home is warm and inviting, but also has the look of good design, you can tell careful thought went into each room, you know? It's not thrown together with whatever was handy, you've put your special touch on each piece, choosing it with care, and the final result is a lovely haven from the world that just flows from one room to the next. Beautiful. I can't say it enough. Thanks for sharing.

  4. We hang our toilet paper up and over. I love your flure de lise! I have just the right wire to make one. Thank you for a great idea!!! And in the words of Phineas from "Phineas and Ferb", "I know what we're doing today!" (If you do not know what P&F is...it is my girl's new favorite summer show on Disney Channel!)

  6. Beautiful!

When I saw your mirror, I thought to myself,
"I wonder where she got that...I love it?" Then I scrolled down and you answered my question.

PS. Love the hand made fleur de lis and I hang my roll so the paper is over. :)

  7. I put the toilet paper over. It's the RIGHT way. ha ha

We have the same boring shower enclosure. While I'm in there every day, I wish I was standing on a pebble floor surrounded by tile floors. But it will never happen. That's for our forever house. lol My master bath is next on my blog list to ask for help with. I'm bad.

  8. Wow, wish I had that bathroom. Mine looks like a little box in comparison, but that's OK there are bigger fish to fry here. Once again beautiful!

  9. Looks so inviting. Makes me want to take a tub! Do you ever worry aobut the humidity of the bathroom ruining some of your nice pieces (like the jewelry box or pictures)? I always wonder about that. It looks so great though. I must admit, the bathroom is a place I frequently miss when decorating. In our new house I'll have to try to vamp it up!

    Blessings to you and yours,
    Libby

  13. I love your bathroom. You probably knew I was going to say that, right! Anyway, you did a great job with that fluer de lis. You have also given me inspiration on lamp placement. Who would have ever known you could put lamps in so many places.
    Blessings~~

  14. It feels like we are right at home with you! The fleur di lis is the best idea. I'm sure I have wire around her somewhere. Love the pineapple lamp (I think that is what it is)--still on that search for that perfect pineapple something!

  16. Susie,
Another beautiful room! I like to look into bathrooms as well, it's not wierd at all. It's interesting to see if the style of the rest of the house flows into the bathrooms as well. You are not alone in putting pictures in every room. I have pictures in our bathrooms too. Why should the bathrooms be any different than the other rooms? My favorite thing is the Flure De Lis. That is so creative. I wonder if mine would look as pretty? The scrapbook paper pictures look great too!

    P.S. We roll over:)

  26. Love your framed mirror over the sink. That's on my long list of house projects around here. I hate my flat mirror.

Your home is so warm and welcoming. What a fun tour!

  29. Sigh. I am so envious of the gorgeous bathroom. That is one room I plan on going all out in when we (someday) move into a new house. A girl can dream, right?

  30. Lovely as always! I roll over...no other way for me! Very particular about that one. That really made me laugh!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Well, now you know we all want the Wire Fleur de Lis instructions! lol

And everyone knows that the toilet paper most definitely goes OVER...I am so anal (haha) about this, that I even switch it around at other's people's homes if I see it the WRONG way. Is that rude?

    Love your bathroom :)

  32. You have a lovely bathroom! I just added a floral arrangement to our tub area. It really softens the hard lines. Love, love the scrapbook paper tiles on the wall behind the "seat." I've been wondering what to do with ours like that. We have a tall wall too...great idea!!!

  33. Oh Susie! You never cease to amaze me! I love your bathroom---
especially the easy-to-make accents that have such impact and drama. You clever, clever girl! I may have to copy that fleur de lis, just like everyone else who's gone on your tour.
(Oh, and it is so nice to see that your builder chose to put those glass blocks in, instead of a big ol' picture window that you just have to cover up so you don't show the world your nekkid hiney.)
I can't wait to find out where we tour next! You have been such a gracious host! Thak you!

  34. Oops! I meant to say "Thank you!"

  36. Don't you love Kirkland's? I've gotten some fun things there for cheap!! Your bathroom is so nice - and I love the lamp...they always make a room look cozy.

  37. Gorgeous! You have such a way of putting things together, and then you tell us, "Oh I made that" or "Oh that is from ...". What is so great is the way you decorate is within reach for the rest of us. How many ladies have run to the store you mention, after they have read your blog and gotten ideas!!!! (Big Smile)!!! Very inspiring, and I love the jar with the TASSEL!!! YIPPEEE. I always look for the tassels when you show us something. Love it!

  39. Girl, I had that same hair-do! My bangs were a little more puffier. Okay, a lot more. They hit the top of doorways. ;-)

Your bathroom is beautiful! Love that tassel on the jar. I also do my bathroom tissue the same. In fact, when we have guest, I fold it into a point like hotels.

  40. Love the windows of your master bathroom... I have two big windows in mine that have blinds on them both but would much rather have what you have. You get so much more light that way. Thanks for sharing-I LOVE seeing other peoples bathrooms too. BTW-"Over" on the toilet paper like a waterfall-there's no other options IMHO. :)

  44. The paper is up and over..always. :)
I would love to have a master bathroom but unfortunately that's not possible in our little old house. I'm just thankful that it has two!
You have a great space, again full of personal touches like the rest of your home. And the wire fleur de lis is very cool.
    Have a great day!

  45. I am so jealous of the tub! Also all the storage and the counter space. My master bathroom is so small-I can't really do any type of decorating because I need all the space for all the stuff that has to be there. Dang! I know what you mean about a shower with pretty tile. I am waiting anxiously. Our shower if terrible. The people that we bought our house from didn't believe in doing things the right way, that included the caulking of the shower. So-there is mildew that will not come off. It doesn't matter how often I clean or how much bleach. It drives me crazy!!!!

I have pictures in every room too. If I were to put my house on the market and follow all the 'rules' and take down/put away personal stuff, my house would be nekkid!

ps - TP is over the top and I must confess sometimes I "fix" other people's TP since "over" is the right way!

  60. What a peaceful master bath! I love the wall of glass cubes for all that light that gets let in. We only have one tiny window...sigh. And one small bathroom...lol. But it works for me! And fortunately my daughter is young enough, I don't have to worry about her taking up time in the bathroom yet!
The fleur de lis you made is beautiful...how creative!

  61. Oh..we roll the toilet paper over NOT under..well, at least I do...my hubby doesn't really care how it rolls, just as long as it's replaced when it's out...lol!
